Uninteresting (sorry, Betty)

Sometimes fashion designers want to make or have their own scent made. This can be a great thing. I know of several houses, that have succeeded and created really great and memorable fragrances: Balmain, Hermes and Dior are some of them. Betty Barclay, however, is not…
I only have this, Woman no. 3. I am not impressed. The listed notes are nice, the composition sounds okay - but the magic is absent. It starts out with the freesia, nice but very weak. After ten minutes the rose shows up, the jasmine soon to follow, but again very weak. No sandalwood in the base - just musk - and I only like musk in the right quantity ratio. Here it is way too much.
Sillage and longevity is nothing to shout about and the bottle is very standard.
Sorry, Betty. You did not get my attention. Feel free to try again.

Once upon a time...

I always liked wearing this scent as a teenager :) But it's not necessarily a teen fragrance!
Now I received it as a gift from a good friend from those times! And I still think it's great!
But I find the whole series from No. 1-3 to be very high quality! That said, it’s not exactly cheap. After all, it’s only 15 ml... and when you calculate the price for 30 ml, it already costs about 20-30 euros! However, that is reasonable! The price-performance ratio is very good!

SCENT:
It smells very suitable for everyday use and pleasant. A scent that is perfect for the handbag! It has a floral and musky scent! Jasmine and rose, for example, are also contained in j'adore and in Gucci envy me... so it smells somewhat in that direction! It’s not as long-lasting and not as high quality as the big brands, but it smells very good!

For my birthday, I received this fragrance.
Somehow, my friends always gift me the affordable scents available in drugstores.

Woman No. 3 is a light, subtle, unobtrusive floral scent in a simple pink bottle. It has been created for romantic and feminine women.

The heart notes and top notes create a light freshness and pleasant, yet discreet floral quality.
The base notes give Woman No. 3 a gentle powderiness.

The Eau de Toilette lasts for an average amount of time.

For everyday wear, it is a nice scent. It can be worn well in spring and summer.

Less fresh but still delicious

Having tested this fragrance, I can say that the entire Woman line is really very interesting.

However, when comparing No. 3 directly with No. 1, which presents itself as very fresh and fruity, I find myself waiting in vain for the fresh, casual note that makes No. 1 so intriguing. Nevertheless, it must be mentioned that Woman No. 3 is, in its own unique way, a pleasant and unobtrusive companion, with which one cannot go particularly wrong overall.

The floral scents of the heart note are clearly perceptible. They give the fragrance its uniqueness and ensure that it stands out distinctly from the other two perfumes in the line. No. 3 feels quite mature and is as sweet and nice as the neighbor next door. In general, this fragrance can truly be worn on any occasion, and there is nothing negative that must be mentioned.

Certainly, this fragrance will not win any awards. And yet, it can accentuate the personal style of its wearer.

Not again

Well, when I don't like a fragrance, I usually try to describe it simply, which can sometimes even sound positive, although you see 10% in my rating.

But with this fragrance, I have to honestly say that it deserves a warning...

It smells overwhelmingly like cheap soap or bath foam, overloaded with synthetic flowers that have been sitting in old water for too long.
Especially at the beginning. Over time, it gets a bit better and could give off a really nice relaxing bubble bath scent.

But you have to get there first...
