Again: Yes, but.....
There are quite a few fragrances that I like, that I want to experience again and again, but please not as a perfume on my skin. Tulsivivah! is one of them. The scent fascinates me and I imagine spraying it in the summer on the stoop in front of my open bedroom window, letting the wind carry a whiff into my boudoir from time to time;) This is how I could truly enjoy it, and I have managed to tame many a scent that was too overpowering for me.
Tulsivivah! hits me too hard with its spices right from the start. I love pure sandalwood, but here it gives the top note a strange balsamic sweetness that makes me recoil at first. This fades quickly, but the floral heart note takes it a step further. Now I actually miss fresh air that could lend the fragrance some transparency.
Maybe I am just too analytically inclined to feel the aura of the scent as fitting for me. Or perhaps it’s simply various fragrance notes that seem too dense, too intense, and overwhelming. In the dry down, cedarwood reconciles me a bit, but it takes too long for me to categorize the scent as a perfume for myself. However, who knows, maybe I’ll treat myself to a bottle as a fine room fragrance, and here the circle closes back to the title of my comment.
