changed my mind
it took another wearing for me to get a better idea of what this offered, after wearing it for about two hours I was finally struck by the scent when a breeze came up behind me.

Beautiful, so when I looked it up again on here and another scent website I was surprised to see it rated it so low. Then I thought about the manufacturer, the brand, I get the feeling it's rated lower because of the high price.

Maroni-Balsam
Most of the time, when I was in Italy - in July, because of the sales and because I finally wasn’t freezing - the parks were more gray-brown than green: the moisture was lacking and the large green areas were burned; even the "Palladian Villas" on the Terra Ferma sometimes suffered from their missing green embrace, which their creator had so harmoniously planned into the overall picture.

Perhaps that is why the scents of the "Parco Palladiana" series by "Bottega Veneta" are so appealing to me.
They show me what could be; what I, unfortunately, have never been able to experience personally due to my travel planning.
So too with "Parco Palladiana XI - Castagno".

Afternoon calm at the hour of Pan under the green, cool canopy of the chestnut trees.
It whispers and rustles in the leaves, even the cicadas had been sleeping until now and are just beginning to timidly tune their instruments again.
The gaze sweeps over the green expanse of the park until it settles on one of the typical Venetian villas by Andrea Palladio: what a sensual delight!
My eyes cannot get enough of all the architectural beauty and the overall picture that presents itself to them.
Sensual experiences replace every photo in the most beautiful way; the senses expand through this beauty, breathing it in deeply.

The scents in whose soft arms I rest complete this picture:
Green, herbaceous, and woody: shade-giving foliage creates light paintings in various shades of green and brown, interspersed with shimmering lights.
Not only the spicy foliage, but also the woody, slightly austere aroma that the sun-warmed trunks exude permeates the afternoon, accompanied by a slightly sweet chestnut balm.
These chestnut fruits are still lacking their final ripeness, but in winter their time will come again: roasted chestnuts, a delicacy, not just for warming hands: just think of chestnut puree!

But now with "Parco Palladiana XI - Castagno," these thoughts are still far away: enveloped by afternoon silence in a fragrant capsule of aromatic, breathing nature, I feel comfortable and secure.

With its light, woody-spicy, and balsamic sillage with summer durability, this fragrance composition is a joy for the senses: carefully thought out and also a bit extraordinary - thanks to the chestnuts.

A perfectly wearable counterpart to all the citrus freshness that accompanies warm summer days.
An afternoon in the shade of chestnut trees in the company of the god Pan and full of fragrant beauty.
A summer afternoon shaped by scent, over which already lies a faint memory of the autumn ripeness of the fruits - still far away, but already to be sensed!

Arriving at a home you don't yet know
Disclaimer: This is my first review here on Parfumo. Please forgive me if I make a few mistakes / if I can't express myself very well yet :)

About three weeks ago, I first smelled Castagno from the Parco Palladiano line in a perfume store, and it immediately captivated me. The chestnut scent doesn't come across as "quiet"; the green top note fades away for me in a matter of seconds, and I am enveloped by warm (almost somewhat oriental?) woods that come together in my nose to form a full and rounded chestnut orchestra. With each breath, I feel like I'm delving further into a fragrance world that seems vaguely familiar yet somehow completely new to me. I love woody scents, but the fact that balsamic notes, which keep pushing forward in Castagno, can captivate me so much is entirely new to me. When properly dosed, they give the fragrance a wonderful core. If over-sprayed, it becomes more smoky-resinous - this can also appeal to many! The scent gives me a feeling of calm and balance. Certainly one that you might wear a bit more for yourself than for others :)

Very austere, strict scent that highlights dry wood (especially Guaiac), subtle resin, and peppery spice: unconventional!

Summer under shade-giving chestnut trees in the park; herb-spicy yet pleasantly balsamic-sweet: Leaf whispers at the hour of Pan.

A pleasing green-spicy fir balsam/conifer scent with a subtle hint of sweetness.
Light & airy, rather masculine. I like it.

Chestnut blossom in a highly potent form (I've compared several times): peppery, woody, sweet, spicy - almost a bit crowd-pleasing. I really like it!

Woody-green with spicy-balsamic notes
Despite these ingredients, clear and 'transparent'
Chestnut? Yes .. why not!

Like an intimate hug from a dear person with a pure heart in a clearing in the chestnut forest.

Somehow this woody scent has a tendency to be a bit sweaty, which makes me enjoy the fragrance less. The green notes are somewhat overshadowed. Very quirky!

Essential feel-good wood with a floating green undertone. Slightly sugary, hinting at walnut. Velvety touch of syrup.

Green and woody, the scent radiates a pleasantly nutty warmth through the chestnut. Nutella for adults, without the gourmand or sweetness.

Smells oud-woody to me. I expected it to be greener and nuttier. Too trivial for the price.
