We're going to Ibiza!
Summer vacation is just around the corner, it's slowly getting warmer, annoying side effects like hay fever are simply ignored & good vibes along with spring feelings are just forced. Part of this spontaneous Leimbacher sun dance was also Brecourt's "Off to Ibiza" - how could I resist such a name.
And the scent starts fabulously, exuding joy of life, with a zesty-fruity opening, a blend of "Amerhyst" & "L'eau Mixte". Especially the generally rarely encountered & even more rarely so well executed blackcurrant at the beginning is a lilac delight. Refreshing, radiant, invigorating. Summery but particularly so. A floral fruity that not only sizzles & sparkles in my belly button. The disappointment following this deluxe starting shot is immediate: not only does the scent falter in terms of performance, which would be bearable for a summer fresh-up, but afterwards hardly anything remains. The fruity standouts from the top note evaporate quickly & what remains is a rosy-clean musk scent - very lackluster & like stale luxury lemonade. The fact that the scent overall appears rather feminine hardly bothers me. However, the significant drop in quality for a beach day does.
Bottle: Minimalism, handy
Sillage & longevity: also minimalism - 4 sunny hours. Doesn't bother any sunbather.
Conclusion: pleasantly zesty. The sun & the sand are almost palpable, however, the scent seems to have a slight hangover that severely limits its endurance & shows strong signs of fatigue. Ibiza is not the party capital for nothing...
