I’m conflicted…

It’s a very pretty scent with some pretty damn good lasting power but it’s quite strong, almost overpowering at first, and it doesn’t smell at all like what I would’ve expected (especially considering the notes). It’s definitely warm and sweet but also it’s also extremely amber-heavy. I don’t get any of those “milky” marshmallow notes on my skin mostly just like wood and amber. It almost reminds me of a softer base for a lot of popular cherry fragrances like Lost Cherry. I think I’d have been a bigger fan of this if I discovered it at seventeen rather than now.

Call me Dolly…

…The way this fragrance works from 9-5 and then some! Milk+ has an incredible strength and longevity that only a few of my other fragrances possess. I never need more than a dab on each of my pulse points, and it carries beautifully throughout my day. Warm, sweet, and creamy without it being too cloying— it’s also a versatile layering piece for those who are looking to add a touch of sweet to some of your other fragrances as well.

Love

This was my first foray into lactonic frags and what better way to start? In at the deep end haha!

This is a milky musky skin scent, its got depth and I really loved this. It did something totally different on my skin to what it did on clothing and I enjoyed both. I sprayed this on my PJs because on clothes its lovely, musky and milky. On my skin its rich and creamy and also sort of hard to place/work out at first. Settles down into a lovely musky milky toasting marshmallow sort of vibe... as you can see I'm a big fan :)

Lasts about 5 days and counting on the jumper of my PJs haha and put in a good performance (8-12 hours) with good sillage (5-6 hours) on skin.

Milk+

I find this very similar to Milk expressive in terms of scent, except that it’s stronger overall. The notes in the discovery kit mention that it’s supposed to be smoky, but I don’t get that at all. Instead I would say the “cold milk” accord is more prominent initially, and that there is a stronger and longer lasting creamy marshmallow scent after that. It ends with a quiet fade into cozy vanilla; overall I find this really quite a beautiful scent, although obviously very sweet.

I would consider buying a full size; it would be a toss up between the expressive and the bold for me as I do find them really rather similar. The bold perhaps has the edge as it packs a bit more punch.

Woody, sweet, and lactonic

I first smelled milk scent space in july, and here's what i wrote in my notes about the bold version: "It's an instant blast of sharp woodiness - strong and almost headache-inducing. The wood overpowers everything, there's nothing milky about it." Imagine my surprise when i revisited it a few days ago and had a completely different experience.

Now it smells woody, sweet, and lactonic. I couldn't believe my nose, it's so good, it's... Perfect. I wonder if it's because it oxidized, the summer weather, or the development of my sense of smell, but it is what it is. It's one of my favorite woody perfumes now, and i'm glad i revisited it. So sweet and cozy, just perfect for cold weather.
