Crisp, clean and transparant
Crystal Pistil is exactly what it sounds like: a clean, watery floral scent with a soft, transparent feel. If it were a colour, it would definitely be fresh white.

On first spray, you get a gentle hit of orange flower water and something dewy and petal-like. Very light, airy and almost sparkling. It quickly settles into a heart of jasmine water, paradisone (a synthetic molecule with a radiant floral effect, apparently) and what DS & Durga describe as “crystal flower parts.” The base is made up of white musks, ambrette seed and civettone, though to my nose, the civet or ambrette never really jump out. It stays very clean and soft throughout.

Personally, I mostly get jasmine, orange blossom, white musk and watery notes. It is not at all the same, but it reminds me of that clean crispiness from D&G Light Blue.

If you’re looking for something with big projection or lasting sillage, this probably won’t be for you. But DS & Durga do suggest it can be layered with other perfumes, which makes sense given how sheer and translucent it is.

Crystal Pistil is a great choice if you're into soft, non-offensive, office-safe floral skin scents that just make you feel nice and fresh. It’s not loud, but there’s something really elegant in its simplicity.

Springing Spirits
A triangular strike from afar -
Opalescent, bell-clear
Breathe now happiness, finally no
Gone is warmth for a lifetime.

Rather sparse indolic lights -
Water flow hovering - wind of ice,
Now emerge and reveal them
Crystal surge - air compressor.

Paradisone, Hedione -
Internally freezing, completely naked
Literally tangible, never exact
Now it shines again, icon.

The straightforwardness of modernity -
Flowers reign, glaringly transparent,
Springing spirits strongly indifferent
No triangular strike from afar.

LOVE the florals while they last, but the civettone is too tenacious for me. It is there on my skin LONG after the pleasant parts are gone.

The musk cocoon opens, out tumble oranges, mandarins, and many citrus blossoms. Impeccably clean. And whoosh, the wind comes! Goodbye!

Sincerely synthetic. Dolls and artificial flowers. Painfully beautiful and oddly elevated and perfected. Fascination and horror.

A scent twin to Fleur d'Oranger 27, wonderfully bitter orange with a musk base, completely unsweet but well-rounded, a cool refreshing cloth.

There are people who want to smell like they just stepped out of the shower. For me, Crystal Pistil is exactly that fresh shower scent - wonderful!

Aldehyde bouquet with a lovely warmth, neroli, lilies by candlelight in the evening..
(I don't really smell it as a layering scent, though.)

orange-spicy start similar to Eau de sens.
After that, for me, a relatively linear cool lilac scent
But I like it...

Overdose of a transparent, carefree orange blossom water - light, ethereal, yet intense, long-lasting, slightly synthetic.
