Lovingly Sterile
I found this perfect while suffering through the intense heat wave this summer with no AC. A very cold, seawater-damp concrete. No warmth other than a faint musk at the bottom once the fragrance fades. In the spring and summer, this scent is so cold its almost sterile. I personally don't pick up on the sunscreen note others have mentioned. For me, it surfaces more as an industrial aldehyde.
While great for the warmer months, I feel this scent is underrated for the fall season. Something about how the cold rocks of the fragrance mingle with Autumn’s natural earthy dampness makes the scent beautifully melancholic to me. It’s like if Thoreau escaped to a stormy lighthouse instead of Walden. It feels isolating and solitary in a good way. I often wear this scent when I need to time alone to process things mentally.
Unfortunately, this scent slides right off my skin. I'll be lucky to get even 3 hours out of it before its a barely-there sheer musk. For my purposes, this time frame works, but if you want a fragrance thats going to last all day, this isn't it.
