A Swabian in the Flower Shop
Saleswoman: Good day.
Swabian: Grüss Gottle.
Saleswoman: Is it something for Valentine's Day? For your wife?
Swabian: Hajo.
Saleswoman: Perhaps this pretty arrangement here for 35 euros?
Swabian: Spenned Sie? Much too expensive, I can’t afford that at all.
Saleswoman: How about this bouquet over there for 20 euros?
Swabian: Noi.
Saleswoman: I can give you a single rose with a bit of greenery for 6 euros 50.
Swabian: What’s with the rest?
Saleswoman: What? Oh, that’s just the cuttings.
Swabian: I’ll take that. Everything.
Saleswoman: Cuttings for the woman you love???
Swabian: Noi. For her, I’d like that pretty little arrangement.

I can only confirm it again: Flower Show smells like the humid air that hits you in a flower shop. It’s less about the lush colorful blooms and more about the green, juicy, slightly grassy-soapy cuttings that scent this fragrance. Later, it becomes less aggressive and more green-creamy.
This is really a DIFFERENT floral scent! As a true Swabian, I am totally thrilled by this "upcycling," it’s climbing up my wish list!

For the olfactory interpretation of a flower show, it still gets "only" 80%, as it has too much green and too few flowers in it. Nevertheless, impressive!

So, here’s another Demeter scent before this day really hits with its heat and while I can still think clearly :D

It's nice when you're used to bad scents from Demeter (though "bad" isn't quite the right word, as some of their fragrances are very authentic and truly capture the corresponding smells; they just tend to choose scents that can smell really awful) and then discover something good among all the special fragrances. Flower Show is a scent that doesn’t smell too bad at all.

The scent:
Basically, you can smell various flowers here, which are a bit difficult for me to identify, as I’m not very familiar with some floral notes. However, I can definitely say that there are notes reminiscent of tulips and roses. It’s floral-sweet, and there’s also the scent of damp or fresh potting soil. It strongly reminds me of hardware stores where you can buy plants in the garden section. Or of plant exhibitions, Flower Show indeed.

The longevity is about two to four hours, which is low, but for a Demeter scent, that’s not too bad at all.
The sillage is moderate, but that’s okay and is more than sufficient.

The bottle is functional, sufficient for its purpose, but it’s still poorly designed, especially the sticker.

Flower Show surprises, as the scent is quite good. It smells of various plants and earth. And a bit like planting plants in the garden.
Probably still unsuitable for wearing, but it doesn’t make you feel nauseous when you smell it.
Hmm… does the scent attract bees??...

Flowers don't win me over. That's really true. And I also don't like going to flower shops. I prefer tree nurseries and greenhouses. There you find living plants and not just dead ones that are artificially arranged to look like they're still alive...

Unfortunately, "Flower Show" - as my previous commentators already noted - smells exactly like a visit to the florist. I find it repulsive. One can't help but appreciate the abysmally poor longevity of the Demeter waters.

Bouquet on Cake Board
"Flower Show" hits me first with a wild, musty floral scent mixture, reminiscent of those wheel-like floral arrangements, circular and placed on a kind of cake board: it's called a Biedermeier bouquet.
It also lacks the "non-scent" of those flowers from which the fragrance has been bred out. For me, these have a "dead" smell, dull, like half-wilted plants and slightly moldy-musty. At the same time, I smell the stagnant flower water and the plant remnants that have already begun to decompose on the tables and in the bins in the back room of a flower shop. A bit further from my wrist, I actually smell something creamy, hints of orris root, violet, Nivea cream, something soapy.
On the skin, after a while, an aquatic scent and something spicy develop. "Flower Show" surprisingly ends for me with a relatively common sweet floral mixture without the flower shop, if you just wait long enough. "Flower shop smell" expresses it precisely. In our cultural sphere, nearly everyone knows what is meant.
With "Flower Show," the name corresponds with the scent: the fragrance has a progression, a floral shop scent palette, so to speak.
Again, a scent or smell for shops that sell artificial flowers to suggest to buyers the ambiance (ambiance also means: smell/fragrance) of a flower shop.

"Everything in the Green Area"
is the slogan of our small town, which is widely known as Germany's "City of Flowers." It is located in the "green heart" of Europe.
Year after year, more flowers and vegetables are grown, processed (BOFROST headquarters, subsidiary companies BONDUELLE and KÜHNE), and marketed here, in the midst of one of the largest closed horticultural areas in Europe, than anywhere else in Germany.
Everything related to flowers, vegetables, and the topic of horticulture is the program here. Just like this fragrance.

The opening is very green and floral and a bit too intense for me. No, I wouldn’t want to be trapped in Uncle H.'s truck with the cut flowers on the way to LANDGARD and the largest flower auction in Germany: the Veiling Rhein-Maas - located on the A 40 Ruhr area - Venlo) just before the border.
Shortly thereafter, this intensity fades, and these cut flowers emit a pleasant scent, as if they were standing in a vase on the table.
My husband also likes the scent, and he doesn’t find the very dominant floral note so bad.
Friends of floral and green scents should definitely try this unisex fragrance, and you don’t have to travel to Philadelphia for a flower show. The largest flower and gardening exhibition in the world: the FLORIADE will take place in 2012 (April - October) at the Green Park in Venlo.
The theater of nature with its acts: Relax & Heal, Green Engine, Education & Innovation, Environment, and World Show Stage definitely lasts much longer than the show in the bottle.

Shortly sweet, then green floral with a hint of spice, faintly reminiscent of a Chypre accord. Smells surprisingly complex for Demeter.

Flowers, damp potting soil, a bit of plant fertilizer. Nice, but not very special.

On the skin, the workspace of a flower shop: wilted plant scraps, old flower water. Sillage of a delicate floral mix + subtle spices.
