Shisha (apple flavored)

Very underrated fragrance, I would recommend for spring & fall.
Smells really fruity and very similar to Shisha apple flavored (if you live in the miffle easy you know what I’m talking about)
Really won’t break the bank and can be a blind buy if you enjoy Fruity fragrances like creed aventus (not similar) but both are fruity & goes for the same direction

A few years ago, an - ambitious, nice, and smart - working student (whose career I still watch with admiration from a distance) asked me for a 180-degree feedback at the end of his working student time (and thus his studies). And because I liked him, I told him, in addition to the usual 'Always formulate your goals precisely, stay curious and ambitious' and similar clichés from working student exit interviews, 'I don’t know what kind of fragrance stuff you’re using, but maybe just use a little less of it in the office - or maybe try something else, hmm?' He was taken aback but seemed genuinely open to the rather personal feedback: well, Diesel's Only The Brave Tattoo was his only perfume, and girls had told him it was a sexy scent that suited him well. I even believe him. But he had explicitly asked for my feedback as his evaluator.

All Diesel perfumes in those strange martial fist flacons (the appeal of which I am undoubtedly too old to understand) are scents that one wants to hear a (or many) girl say are sexy and suit one well - to put it tastefully. Apple is a classic top note to fulfill this purpose - an apple that reminds me of the air freshener 'Green Apple' that I had in my first car. The apple alone must win the battle, as the warm, sweet tobacco-something base note that follows can hardly do more than leave the sheets, into which one was invited due to the apple performance, somewhat civilized yet still with hard stains - to express myself a little less tastefully now. And because only the apple has any merit, Only The Brave Tattoo is the archetype of a fragrance that gets reapplied time and again. Then it might actually deliver something - within the described expectation.

Conclusion: 'You fuck dumb. You don't marry dumb.' is a quote I recently remembered from the cinema. And because it can easily be expanded to 'You fuck dumb. You don't hire dumb.': wear it on Saturday nights when dating on Tinder, guys - and not in the office!

Generation Tattoo

During my last online perfume shopping spree, this fragrance ended up in my cart. After extensively testing "Only the Brave" and even gifting it, I bought Tattoo blindly. The scent notes convinced me. I really like apple in fragrances. Pepper and tobacco is also a good combination that rounds off a scent well.
The first time I tested it, I was convinced from the first spray. It smells very intense right from the start, and the sillage is really well dosed. Apple remains in the foreground throughout the entire duration. It starts off sweet and fruity, very pleasant and intense. Later, tobacco and pepper join in. The composition harmonizes very well. The longevity is also extremely good. Even after 8 hours, the scent is still quite present. It fades over time, but even towards the end, I find it quite pleasant.

Finding the right occasion is rather difficult. It's more suitable for parties, bar visits, or similar events to stand out. It can also be worn daily, but it might bother many people. :) It's one of those scents that you either love or hate.
At 28 years old, I feel almost too old for this fragrance. However, since I still have a youthful style, I enjoy wearing it for a few more years. The name Tattoo fits this scent quite well. The fragrance suits today's generation. While Only the Brave comes across as rather tame and clearly more innocent, this version is significantly cheekier and more eye-catching.
In terms of price, it is quite expensive like everything from Diesel. However, I must say that everything from Diesel is worth it. Stylish & of high quality.

Conclusion: A fragrance that polarizes. It will annoy many. In terms of quality, sillage & longevity, it is above average good. As a fan of sweet scents, one should definitely give this fragrance a try.

To the Brave Belongs the World

Right now, "Bochum Total" is taking place, which means that cohorts of crowds are slithering through the streets like a dragon.

Just the thought of it gives me claustrophobic feelings - but I want to visit my favorite perfume shop in the city.

I need to arm myself with a fragrance that has guts.
What could be better? Only the Brave Tattoo.
I am neither brave nor tattooed - but maybe the scent will compensate for my deficiencies?

The apple aroma is nice and crisp, and the pepper is lively and spicy - but not scratchy.
The tobacco comes across as full and saucy, reminding me of my "rolling times" with Van Nelle.
Noble yet robust, the amber wood joins in.

The scent has something of a protective companion, without being directly rough around the edges.

Feeling emboldened, I am willing to plunge into the chaos - but the police have cordoned off the city center.

Shrugging my shoulders, I turn back and award myself a little medal of bravery - because the journey is the destination.

Even at the risk of...

..., being put on the spot here. I really like this Diesel, otherwise I wouldn't have picked it up. :)

OK, there was a 20% discount at the local store, which was of course another buying argument. And the price is definitely higher than the other Diesel fragrances, or am I just imagining that?

Well then, regardless, let's get to the scent. It starts off fruity, probably the apple that was mentioned. In my opinion, it could also be some kind of berries; apple smells different to me. Something like forest berries, I think. Then something else joins the mix. It all smells very, very familiar, as if it's a scent that won't disturb anyone. I think I can perceive a bit of musk, which isn't mentioned here.

In the end, it also becomes familiar to me. My predecessor brought "La nuit de L'Homme" into the conversation, and I can only agree with that. I don't perceive tobacco either, more of a musk note, I think.

All in all, a scent that you can easily spray on every day. For the price, it's okay, in my opinion.
