Sunny intermezzo
Out of pure frustration with this never-ending poor weather, I bought a number of colognes hoping that somehow it will magically lead to a chance to wear them - read sunny weather.
As I picked up my parcel from the shop the weather did seem, well, let’s say acceptable. I’ll take it! Time to wear Escale à Portofino immediately.
It turned out a brief moment of joy and flashbacks to summer vacations in the Mediterranean. Thanks to the dominant petitgrain-neroli notes. They provide a mildly bitter citrus-freshness of decent quality and typically short duration.
In all fairness, Escale à Portofino is not unique in that sense. It doesn’t really stand out from the numerous perfumes in the Mediterranean genre. Nevertheless a pleasant scent and guaranteed to induce some summer vibes. Just what I needed today.
