Unique lemon and coffee blend
It's interesting to me that the fragrance community always complains about the main releases of fashion brands being so bland and boring yet when a brand does something unique and interesting, it is immediately shit on, while we continue to glorify the umpteenth iteration of Spicebomb, Emporio Armani - Stronger With You, or Y (2017) Eau de Toilette. I agree Devotion could have been composed a bit better, with more naturals and more care taken in blending. But the fact is this fragrance stands out, in a good way, at the fragrance counter at Macy's.

Of course, the coffee note is the main culprit behind the uniqueness. And especially the lemon-coffee combination which is not a common blend. Usually coffee is mixed with sweeter vanilla-milky notes, but here it is surrounded by an almost old-school citrus-patchouli accord. It is unexpected and beautiful. In the drydown musks and oakmoss take over, giving a fougere/chypre feel.

Performance is not great, projecting for half an hour to an hour, and lasting on the skin for only 3 or 4 hours. Would be a great light scent to put on for a morning ritual before a shower, or to wear at the gym.

Edit: The bottles, both 100ml and 50, are absolutely gorgeous. And I'm rating the value for money high in anticipation that this fragrance will be very cheap at discounters similar to other D&G releases. Please do not pay over $100 for this, it is not worth it at that price.

More of this please
This is one of the best D&G mainstream offerings they have right now.

The fragrance profile is bold, unique and more artistic. This is, in my opinion, what fashion brands should be offering. It is confusing to me how they put out some daring and extravagant clothing pieces, yet they settle down for Ks, blues and 1s.

This is a fragrance worth pairing up with a D&G outfit.

The coffee here is quite dark, not too sweet, yet it gives coffee hard candy vibes. It is not entirely dark and bitter.

Why you say that this perfume isn't good!!!
At first it smells like candy. After a quarter of an hour, the coffee slowly appears and gives off a beautiful new scent. Of course, the coffee is never bold at all and after about 2 hours, a lovely warm vanilla scent like Ani by Nishane on the nose. The scent in this phase is like a little sweet lemon with coffee that is 2 layer under of this lemony scent.

This perfume have a unique scent and I can't remember any perfume that have this scent till now.

The fact that this perfume has received so many dislikes and hatred is really surprising to me. This perfume is not at all bold and sharp or unusual smell that the general public would hate it and the fact that most of the people don't like this perfume is a big question mark in my mind.

Attitude
You had me at coffee. Devotion Pour Homme starts out strange and with uncertainty, but settles very nicely on skin. When I first smelled this fragrance, I thought to myself, this is something new to the designer market, but familiar. So familiar that it took me back about 18 years. Armani Attitude revived! Attitude was an incredible fragrance. While Devotion Pour Homme reflects Attitude’s note structure, it is unique in 2025. It’s not gourmand like his counterpart, Devotion for her. However, it does border that territory. Devotion Pour Homme is a very mellow, woody fragrance with a muted patchouli, revolving around coffee (no cream); highlighted by lemon.

Grew on me
Received this cologne as a gift that I got to choose. I had smelled every single one of the men’s fragrances at Sephora and all of the ones I liked the most were out of stock. So, with my girlfriend getting sick of being at the store for so long I took a chance on this one - my nose was fatigued after smelling so many different scents, but I could sense something in here that I liked.

After I got home and tried it over the next few days, I thought I had made a mistake. The coffee note was extremely off putting to me - smelled like cheap coffee, almost exactly like the coffee beans that are at some retailers for “resetting” your nose when smelling different frags.

I kept the receipt for a while, debating a return - but what really made me come to the light on this one was smelling it on my dad.

I regularly test my colognes on my dad to see what the sillage is like. When I tested this one, I walked back into the room about 10 minutes after spraying it on him and I was blown away by an incredible scent. Probably honestly one of the best smells I have ever smelled. In the air, the coffee disappears - it’s incorporated into the overall scent by giving it some kind of kick, but it becomes completely inoffensive, not at all like what I was smelling when I sprayed it on myself.

Now even when I spray it on myself, it smells good at the beginning - the coffee is no longer a dealbreaker. I don’t know, it just took my nose a while to warm up to this one - which frequently happens with me and fragrances for some reason.

The performance leaves a bit to be desired, but you can just overspray it. It’s available for ~$60 from discounters. I fear if they made it more concentrated they might ruin the blend somehow. I also bought the parfum out of curiosity, and it smells okay, but I definitely prefer the edp. Funnily enough the coffee is toned down in the parfum.

Truly an incredible scent and I feel fortunate to have found it - I never would’ve gotten this if the other more popular perfumes had been in stock that night.

Maybe a lot of people here that are hating on this fragrance would appreciate it more if they smelled it on someone else. Maybe not, but it’s worth a try.

Fleeting burst of synthetic lemon muddled with gourmand-ish coffee over spicy/musky patchouli.
Peculiar; points for standing out.

Sharp lemon and stale coffee grounds open Devotion Pour Homme, drying down to bland patchouli. A dull, fleeting attempt at something unique.

A watered-down version of Akro Awake with much less coffee, no cardamom, and some nauseating designer-ish masculine accord

Garbage. Smells better sealed and locked away with the key up my ass.

Another self-cloning phenomenon. Crespy dupes his Awake, in a much deflated version. My best advice is simply avoidance.
