The fresher Take on BR540: pleasant, pleasing, good - but not revolutionary
The Trajan was the second bottle after the Imperium, which I have purchased from the house Electimuss. Among other things, because he has processed this BR540 note with saffron skillfully fresh. To the flacon itself I do not have to say much; who processes half a kilo of glass and metal, has earned respect. The more "disappointed" I was by the content of this yet moderately hyped fragrance.
- He starts fresh with a citrusy combo of lemon, bergamot and blood orange, where I perceive the saffron quite promptly in combination with the blood orange; here he makes everything a bit different and fresher than the BR540
- After that, the scent unfortunately evolves into a heavily saffron-based, toned-down and woods-infused BR540 version that neither ticks off nor stands out big time. Yes, it's already pleasing and pleasant, but in this price segment one expects a bit more than a pleasantly toned down BR540 version from my point of view. The small spark of innovation that can be found in the Opening is missing here... and as is well known, one remains, unfortunately, with the Drydown.
- Durability is in the upper middle segment, he keeps really long, but projected moderately from my point of view. For personal enjoyment of course top, but for me the sillage is important, therefore difficult me to make friends with it.
Overall, a successful fragrance with a good twist in the opening, but a rather disappointing drydown. Absolutely extensively test before!
