Time will tell, Ambrorient.
I didn't know Esteban at all before testing, so I wasn't familiar with the creations of the Esteban house. That should change today. First, I read about what I was getting into; I quite like amber-like scents in healthy concentrations.
Today it's Les Orientaux - Ambrorient.
For my part, there’s already a small explosion happening in my nose!
The scent is immediately present! Bergamot and mandarin, bam!
And it really hits hard here; I find the opening, to put it mildly, a blast!
To be honest, I wanted nothing more than to wash it off; it was too loud, too strict, too strong, too prickly!

Sometimes, however, it’s good not to give in to every crazy impulse and to give certain scents a chance to develop. It’s quite a little detonation, the scent.
Thank goodness! it doesn’t stay that way, because then the fragrance becomes warm, sensual, and elegant, in my opinion! A little powdery dry mix of almond and marzipan; I think that’s the heliotrope, and it’s really deep and fine!
Then calm sets in; it becomes vanillic, sweet, amber-heavy, lightly pleasantly oriental, and then the scent stays like that, and I really like it. I got to test Ambrorient as a sample, many thanks to Frlsmilla!
The scent becomes so cozy, softly powdery, vanillic, gentle, and beautiful that it’s a joy to wear it on my wrist. It took a while for Esteban and me to get along. Longevity is a good 5 hours, then it slowly fades.
But I wouldn’t want to miss the last hours; it will stay on my watch list. As they often say?
You always smell each other twice!

Nomen est Omen?
The name alone sounds great and convinces me almost blindly of the bottle's contents, even before I have smelled the fragrance at all. But as a savvy perfume enthusiast, I have learned "Nose on before buying perfume!". And once again, I am glad that I initially ordered only a sample instead of the whole bottle!

As I said, the name "Ambrorient" awakens very specific expectations in me: a warm, sensual, elegant, and opulent scent must be hiding behind it. Well then, let's see....

Right after spraying (accidentally a bit more generously than intended), the scent arrives somewhat lazily with a bergamot-rose mix. It truly isn't in a hurry to make its advantages appealing to me, but after a while, I can very clearly perceive opoponax and vanilla. However, the gentlemen have no intention of picking up the pace. Everything just drifts along, and there is no further development of the fragrance. This rather static affair increasingly dampens my enthusiasm for the scent. My initial expectations are definitely not met. And for having applied it generously, I really don't smell much.

Conclusion: A "nice" scent that doesn't stand out much and, at least for me, will not make it into my fragrance cabinet for exactly that reason. Not a bad scent, but not enough scent for me.

A gentle breeze flows through my four walls. Sun-yellow Oriental light. Mandarin with beautiful powdery flowers and resinous vanilla.

Incredibly fresh-citrusy start and a wonderfully tropical development!
Lightly oriental... perfect for daytime.
Oh! Opoponax!

Bright, light, golden Oriental.
Mandarin is very prominent, adds freshness.
Suitable for daytime and the office, even in summer!

Wonderful summer amber. Light, starting with citrus, it becomes warmer, softer amber, balsamic, vanilla. Beautiful!

An amber scent without amber, but an excellent composition of benzoin + opoponax paired with a touch of vanilla. An oriental gourmand.
