Time will tell, Ambrorient.
I didn't know Esteban at all before testing, so I wasn't familiar with the creations of the Esteban house. That should change today. First, I read about what I was getting into; I quite like amber-like scents in healthy concentrations.
Today it's Les Orientaux - Ambrorient.
For my part, there’s already a small explosion happening in my nose!
The scent is immediately present! Bergamot and mandarin, bam!
And it really hits hard here; I find the opening, to put it mildly, a blast!
To be honest, I wanted nothing more than to wash it off; it was too loud, too strict, too strong, too prickly!
Sometimes, however, it’s good not to give in to every crazy impulse and to give certain scents a chance to develop. It’s quite a little detonation, the scent.
Thank goodness! it doesn’t stay that way, because then the fragrance becomes warm, sensual, and elegant, in my opinion! A little powdery dry mix of almond and marzipan; I think that’s the heliotrope, and it’s really deep and fine!
Then calm sets in; it becomes vanillic, sweet, amber-heavy, lightly pleasantly oriental, and then the scent stays like that, and I really like it. I got to test Ambrorient as a sample, many thanks to Frlsmilla!
The scent becomes so cozy, softly powdery, vanillic, gentle, and beautiful that it’s a joy to wear it on my wrist. It took a while for Esteban and me to get along. Longevity is a good 5 hours, then it slowly fades.
But I wouldn’t want to miss the last hours; it will stay on my watch list. As they often say?
You always smell each other twice!
