The perfect signeture scent
This fragrance is the perfect combination of fresh and sweet, woods, incens, lemon and vanilla are the stars here. Very unique and works in all seasons and situations.
even thou it doesn't last long or project that well, the weak performence works for this fragrance thou because it makes it more appealong and intimate for the special someone.

Soft sandalwood and vanilla perfect for casual day
I love casual and down-to-earth scents which convey feeling of being outdoors, but many of them are so harsh and chemical. Gypsy Water is such a beautiful exception in this category. The scent is a natural, soft and creamy combination of woods and vanilla spiked with ever-green needles and juniper berries. It has a perfect balance of being casual but not boring, linear but not simple. Gypsy Water is my jeans and sweater companion to cuddle with on cold November nights. Lovely, easy to wear and natural, I could never go wrong wearing this scent.

The lemon and bergamot opening makes me think of a windy day outdoors – refreshing and natural. Yet, right away, the warm rays of sandalwood and vanilla shine through the scent making it soft and comforting. The iris adds just a touch of powder and pine-tree and juniper berries keep the composition winter fresh. The scent has a bit of a linear quality but it does not bother me at all, as the composition is absolutely lovely. It is a soft scent, which makes it a great every day casual scent. And though it is quite light, it does lasts for hours.

Gypsy Water is not the scent that will shock you with its super complex composition or fireworks of notes. But it is a scent that I will take with me on a winter skiing trip, a walk in the park or everyday at work. It was such a pleasure to wear that I finished my sample in no time and now craving for the full bottle. Overall score is 8.5/10

Gone with the wind...
Sometimes I miss Gypsy Water so much! So enjoyable, so subtle, so pleasent... but for its longevity it's on my black list :D Really, I don't know any other scent that lasts on skin for 20 minutes and diseapper! I know that I'm not the only one, so this is not my skin's fault. I spent a lot of time looking for a good dupe but I didn't find one yet. Such a shame!

Absolutely amazing and so authentically fresh and woodsy
... But dissipates quicker than any perfume I've ever tried! It truly smells like you're in a nordic forest, picking juniper berries. It smells so delicious. However, it quickly disappears. Not just the sillage disappearing, but I couldn't even smell it off my arm or even my clothes. I've never had this happened before and I've tried countless perfumes like a lot of you, from body mists to niche fragrances way out of my budget. I'm so perplexed by the poor longevity, and it's not being anosmic to it either.

I don't mind fragrances having no sillage as long as I can smell it on me, I wear fragrance only for me, nobody else. But when I can't smell it myself, what's the point? :-( So the sample was enough with this.

Probably somewhat offensive name for a great scent...
Why did they have to name it like that??? Culturally insensitive name aside, this is a very nice and complex scent. From a very realistic pure lemon with a spritz of bergamot in the opening, it develops into a softly somewhat creamy fruity/citrusy light sandalwood. I think the frankincense creates a lightly smoky twist to the citrus notes but for me it is not really noticeable.

A very nice fragrance, different to a lot of other popular byredo scents, which mostly for me are far too sweet and usually a fruity mess.

racist name, tired of people exploiting the word 'gypsy' as an alternative for 'free-spirited', shame on Byredo

Nice composition, bad longevity, no sillage at all. I wanted to like it but it's such a fogettable scent.

I fell in love with Gypsy Water in 3 seconds, I felt bored in 3 days. If you're hesitant to buy, it's not bad anyway, but wait a bit longer.

After a juniper and lemon opening, Gypsy Water has the same unpleasant latex/rubber hot water bottle note as some of the Bond No. 9’s. Ugh.

Great fragrance. Spicy on top and woody on the base. In the transition I feel a milky aroma that I really like. Epinette does it again!

Juniper berries sweetened with vanilla, then pine, sandalwood and some incense in the drydown. Comforting, light and close to the skin.

Reminds me of the shampoo and lotion they use at the Sandals resort in St. Lucia. Exotic, luxurious, mysterious spice blend.

I find this too synthetic in the beginning. After a few hours it’s really nice, but it’s a too long wait until it gets there.

Nice sandal + juniper + lemon composition. Pretty much everyone can use this.
