The Smile of Spices
Not only Munich has a noteworthy Viktualienmarkt. Anyone visiting Augsburg should definitely take a stroll through the Stadtmarkt. In the Viktualien-Halle there is a fairly large spice stand that spreads its aroma into the surroundings. This fluid - but from a distance - reminds me of Colère d`epices. The significant thing is that for me it is not just cardamom and ginger that I perceive, but a interplay across the spice shelves, albeit with a certain distance, so that none is really recognizable anymore.
So, there can be no talk of a choleric outburst or comparable temperamental explosion of spices. We know scents that present much more spices. For me, this is just a hint of spice, especially since the longevity of the top or heart note is anything but temperamental. After a while, only the pleasant, but by no means spectacular base remains for me, and the rest has dissipated.
The fragrance has a fine warm radiance, but does not live up to the expectations that its name evokes.
