Cleopatra - half woman, half fire.

When I apply Oriental Spice, I think of deserts, of oriental markets, and women walking through the alleys with their heads held high in white and gold garments. Everything painted warm, red & orange. In their hands, the sun, slowly but surely preparing for its descent.

Behind all these women spreads a long, wide veil of rich cinnamon that nearly puts those nearby into a coma. Cardamom also whistles its tune, making dry sand snap up into the air for the first time. That's how it should be. So and not otherwise!

Those who love cinnamon will find everything they desire here. The scent is simply overwhelming. Very powerful, golden, shimmering, enveloped in warm resinous tones that merge with cinnamon in thick, large black clouds, weighing down on everything and everyone that comes into contact with it. The opening makes some weary souls groan and take notice for the first time. It ignites, and there’s a real tingling under the nose and in the fingers. It has something - a whip that snaps out of the Orient must also be felt intensely on the skin, and it must burn. And Oriental Spice does just that - but. And now comes the big but. It feels very heavy at first, and for some, it may not be easy to understand. So don’t judge too quickly - because the first impression is completely misleading here. One might initially recoil from all the cinnamon and cardamom. But this subsides as quickly as a sudden sandstorm that sweeps briefly across the landscape.

The scent then becomes very warm, cozy, and calm. The cinnamon note noticeably softens and slowly envelops the body. Cardamom also pulls back its missiles and gently settles into the heart - golden, nestled in warm resin that lets a hint of honey shimmer through at its core. Powdery aspects also slowly emerge and settle on the wearer. Beautiful, delicate tones suddenly speak from Oriental Spice, allowing me to drift mentally through ancient Egypt. It only becomes slightly woody at the edges - fine, slightly burning sandalwood can be heard. Beautiful and delicate. A love whip that gently brushes the soul. Wonderful! Truly stunning. Exactly my style.

Cleopatra, surely one of the most famous ladies in history, must have smelled like this. That's how I imagine it in my fantasy. Lots of cinnamon, powder, and spice. Along with fine resinous tones heated by the sun. And it burns at first, before one is caressed by the wounds. A scent that initially has fire under the backside and really rages, but then quickly settles down and reveals its lovely aspects openly. Gently and carefully, it interacts with the wearer, allowing her to shine elegantly and truly femininely. Desirable. Half woman, half fire. This is what we are all made of. Cleopatra was certainly a person who had certain things firmly in hand and could be quite tempestuous. This scent would have suited her well on her strong chest. In my opinion, Oriental Spice is more fitting for women than for men. It simply carries this strong sweetness of the Orient that I can hardly imagine on men. Perhaps I will be convinced otherwise.

As for the sillage, I misjudged it - I would have wished for more strength and volume. The longevity, however, is perfectly fine and falls into an upper range. I can easily get along with it, even if it occasionally gives off a slightly medicinal hint - I always have thoughts of dentists when I write about something medicinal. And it was like that. But only briefly in a moment when I thought that the cinnamon was just being introduced into the filling.

Oriental Spice, a truly spicy oriental fragrance that sweeps through the desert with a lot of fire, then lets itself drift around like a feather. I am very convinced of it and recommend it to everyone who loves cinnamon in fragrances! The bottle is also fitting, in my opinion, and I personally like it very much.

The Golden Cinnamon
I know that I have been mentioning in some of my comments lately that spring is approaching or is already here. Still, I am writing about scents that are more suitable for autumn and winter, as otherwise, some of the samples might deteriorate a bit by next autumn or winter… right? So why take a risk?

Besides, I need something to annoy you with daily, and yet through you, my award account keeps growing, mu ha ha ha :D

Alright, enough of the crazy laughter, let’s finally get to the scent. If you are looking for a deliciously sweet fragrance that should also smell floral (especially in the heart), then you are in the right place. And yes, I specifically say "YOU," because for me, the scent smells more feminine than unisex over a longer period.

The Scent:
I smell ginger and cinnamon; with cardamom, I’m not really sure if I can detect it as often. The scent is sweet and spicy, and the ginger adds a slightly herbal note, although it is so faint that it soon disappears.
Lilies… ah, why do I never really know how flowers smell? :(
But that doesn’t matter, because I do actually smell a light, floral scent, although it quickly gets overshadowed by the sweet notes.
The sweetness becomes a bit more intense over time, although the scent becomes rather softer. But that’s no wonder, as I see balsam and benzoin in the base, which make the scent softer and also a bit powdery; I would even say that the scent has a slightly creamy quality. Occasionally, the floral notes reappear until they slowly fade away in the later base, and in the end, the scent only smells of sweet-spicy cinnamon, which is very delicious :)

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage isn’t too bad, but unfortunately weakens quickly within a few hours.
The longevity is better, though. You can enjoy the scent for seven to eight hours.

The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and gilded. In the photos, I couldn’t quite tell if there is an oval, gem-like ornament stuck on the front or if it is transparent and offers a glimpse into the bottle’s interior. The cap is also gilded and cylindrical. A cord with a nicely made pendant hangs from the top. I think that’s quite nice, and despite all the gold, it doesn’t look too flashy.

Hmm, yes, the scent has turned out very nice. I also think it’s great that the sweet notes here don’t smell like vanilla and tonka bean, as is often the case, but more like cinnamon. Especially in the scent cloud, which, while not particularly strong, is at least sufficient, you can perceive the cinnamon scent well, which, as mentioned, smells wonderful.

Since the scent isn’t too strong, in my opinion, it can also be worn on warmer spring days; otherwise, it’s suitable for autumn, but it would be too weak for winter. In general, you can also go out with this scent since the longevity is good, but one should be aware that it is not a sillage powerhouse and especially after about four hours, it only lingers very faintly on the skin.

Well,… cinnamon is delicious, ladies who wear this scent are delicious… well, I try to use my well-known phrase in new variations, yes, I’m lazy to come up with something new right now… I admit it… but it’s Sunday evening… and why must you ladies be so delicious… :DDD

So, that’s it for now. We’ll “see” each other again tomorrow evening :D

Warmer Orientale
Only 2 owners and 0 comments, and with such a enchanting fragrance.
I would really like to try to introduce you to this one.

It starts with a slightly citrusy ginger note and cardamom immediately joins in.
And just a short while later, I sense a fine floral note and sweet cinnamon, a lot of cinnamon.
I really like that, the fragrance becomes softer and warmer towards the base, it’s like spice velvet, I know there’s no such thing, but that’s the best way I can express it.
So, if you’re looking for a true oriental that doesn’t overwhelm but is soft and spicy yet still present, you should give this fragrance a try.
Longevity and sillage are good for me. And except in the height of summer, I wear this fragrance all the time.

What a magical scent! Ginger-fresh, cardamom-spicy, cinnamon-sweet, sandalwood-warm, aromatic like an aftershave yet not too masculine.

Probably the most beautiful oriental fragrance I've encountered so far. Soft, comforting, with cinnamon and cardamom perfectly blended. Perfect!

Wow, this is delicious! And that's saying something since I'm not a fan of cinnamon and too much annoying sweetness. Soft, round, creamy, balsamic, slightly resinous.
