While it might not reach the level of redundancy of its fellow sibling Emporio Armani - Stronger With You Amber, Emporio Armani - Stronger With You Sandalwood isn't far off. It's about obvious that Armani's SWY team is running out of ideas and might as well just start releasing flankers of every note. "Stronger With You Bergamot", "Stronger With You Iris", "Stronger With You Musk"... Maybe I shouldn't give them any ideas.

Anyways, what you get is pretty straightforward. The synthetic opening settles with a gentle dosage of saffron, showing for a brief moment some rubbery accents, which might be too daring for SWY fanboys; thread lightly. Immediately, the classic SWY DNA engulfs everything with an overly sweet mix of gourmand notes, particularly the signature nutty edge, with plenty of vanilla to go around right next to it, a little bit of spice, and a subtle touch of herbal lavender. At this point, there's nothing special or distinctive happening here. For that, you'll have to wait for the mishmash of sweet/gourmand notes to mellow down to let the sandalwood show through. And when it does, I wish it would've stayed hidden. Along with bits of dry "woodiness" from the cedarwood, the sandalwood here appends a clear creamy facet which rapidly turns very... lotion-esque. It reminds me more of sunscreen or some cheap skin lotion than actual qualitative sandalwood. But that comes as no surprise, nor the fact that SWY fanboys and anyone falling for the hype will end up spending the money on this and thinking it's such a distinctive scent profile. Far from the truth.

One a more positive side, or less, depending who you ask, longevity here gets you about 10 hours. However, at least on my skin, Emporio Armani - Stronger With You Sandalwood fails to impress on the projection category. Moderate pushing power for the first 2 hours, nothing crazy, but definitely noticeable, after which it just softens down more than most other SWY flankers.

What do you want me to tell you regarding versatility that you don't already know? This, as most other designers, does the same trade as the majority of the market, even a big part of the niche market - originality and boldness for mass-appeal and likeability. Hence, apart from the warm weather (obviously), Emporio Armani - Stronger With You Sandalwood is very unobtrusive and easy to wear.

But I don't want to cut it any slack, because as it is being made clear, the SWY line is hitting a "plateau". New releases are just space fillers that ride the wave of hype imposed by social media influencers, which is also why even such a boring and pointless release as Emporio Armani - Stronger With You Sandalwood or Emporio Armani - Stronger With You Amber will still manage to generate plenty of capital. That's how it works, unfortunately, and it's been working excellently for the SWY line, becoming arguably the most famous fragrance line on social media. But as I've started to learn, there's always a red flag when multitudes praise certain fragrances. Always.

For a Middle-East exclusive that is touted as the best of the line, Stronger With You Sandalwood really doesn't offer very much. It's the classic sweet SWY DNA with a quite synthetic sandalwood accord that smells quite coconutty, seemingly unintentionally. Amber aromachemicals overload everything, and no clear notes other than the sharp saffron really come through. I tried this one since most people agree that it is the best of the line, and I think I'm going to skip the rest of the flankers if this is the best Armani can offer.

The only thing that bothers me about this is that it can’t be it’s own thing as opposed to being a flanker. It deserves to be out on its own as Armani’s Niche-killer. However, the SWY DNA is still just apparent enough for it to have to just be “the next one” of its time from the line, rather than it being “the next big thing” in its own right. But that’s just me romanticising and there’s nothing we can do about it. It’s damn near perfect in terms of the balance, retaining just enough of the instantly recognisable sweetness whilst letting a seriously masculine woodiness take centre stage, all supported by the saffron making it more for the grown ups. Bonus tip - a couple fresh sprays on the neck/jawline right before you go out in the cold is a next level experience!

From the very first spray, you catch the luxurious and warm scent of saffron — not overly sharp, just elegantly spiced. Then comes the glazed chestnut (marron glacé) blended with a touch of lavender, creating a very creamy, sweet, and deeply comforting sensation. After that, the real heart of the fragrance shines through: rich, creamy sandalwood paired with soft vanilla and cedarwood, which adds a masculine woody depth without ever feeling heavy or dry.
This perfume stands apart from the rest of the series (like Intensely or Absolutely). The signature sweet DNA is still there, but it’s lighter, more mature, and far more refined. It’s not overly sweet in a way that feels youthful or “teen-like” — instead, it’s classy, sophisticated, and elegant. Perfect for a man who wants a distinguished, upscale scent for winter or cool evenings.
Longevity is excellent — it easily lasts 8–10 hours on my skin. Projection (sillage) is strong for the first two hours, then settles into a pleasant, comfortable moderate level: noticeable and compliment-getting without being overwhelming or suffocating the room.
It genuinely makes you feel like you’re wearing something expensive and luxurious — not just another mainstream designer fragrance. The bottle is also very chic: a deep, elegant green that perfectly matches the scent.
If you love the Stronger With You line and are looking for a more mature, sophisticated, and less exaggeratedly sweet version, Stronger With You Sandalwood is, in my opinion, the king of the collection. I highly recommend it — especially if you appreciate warm, creamy sandalwood with a subtle sweet touch. This is a fragrance that truly makes you feel distinctive and refined!

Probably the best in the entire line. I had few, I tested them all, ha ds down this one is a masterpiece. Very distinct and special, still with a bit of classic SWY DNA but probably the less proeminent DNA in the line, but a niche quality fragrance. The Mysore Santal can be detected, being for.decades a santal fan I can confirm at least the 1st edition, 2025 had batural abaolute sandalwood in the coMposition.
It s like a liqueur, very dense, very good sillage and around 8 horurs on my skin.
