A blind buy fail...

I had blind bought this perfume on a whim when I saw this was discontinued. I really like Acqua di Gioia, so I was expecting to like this too. Unfortunately, this wasn't my kind of fragrance. It is very light, a bit fruity, sweet and watery which is a good fit for a summer fragrance. But this smells more like a scented shampoo rather than a designer EDP. The performance, as expected with this category of fragrances, is also poor - after about 30-40min, this just turns into a skin scent. Overall very bland and boring and personally, I do not recommend it.

Beautiful aquatic pear scent in the island heat!

It was lunch time and I was on my way to a cafeteria when I thought it was gone or had turned into a skin scent. Just then, a breeze came from behind me and I had a huge blast of this refreshing scent that stopped me in my tracks. It was as if I over-sprayed a column of air and stepped in it just in time to catch all the falling mists. I had a few coworkers say how nice it smelled when I walked into a room. I find this fragrance to stay the same throughout its life, on my skin— I can still detect it 12+ hours when I get home and in the shower. I can agree how others described it to smell like a person coming up from underwater (beach) with freshly shampooed hair.

Loved it...for the few seconds I could smell it

Seriously. This is a gorgeous, fresh, clean scent. It was exactly what I was looking for. Instant love. I sprayed my usual four shots...and smelled divine. For all of literally 30 seconds. Then? Nothing. Not a whiff. So I sprayed again. And again, nothing after a matter of seconds. So I sprayed round three, went totally ham, and had a solid 12 or 14 spritzes on. To the point that I was giving myself a headache. And still, the only time I could smell it was when I shoved my face down into my shirt. No way, no how, no matter how many times I tried it, I got nothing. This one was a major bummer.

Clean and Fresh

Very pretty aquatic floral, one of my favorite categories, however there is something that goes almost smokey on my skin. It’s clean and fresh but like I walked through an incense shop. Not what I expected and I haven’t seen this noted in any other reviews so it must just be me.

My husband really liked this one as he enjoys clean smells and mentioned that it reminds him of Sauve clarifying shampoo and yeah, it is pretty close. This perfume is too expensive to be giving sauve vibes, but it is very clean and shampoo like. Creamy almost from the incense note I get, more like a conditioner on me.

Decent longevity and scent bubble, I was actually surprised for this type of scent. Could still smell it on my clothes the next day, though it had turned into more of a fabric softner scent as it lost all of the fruity notes.

The more beautiful Acqua di Gioia

I have a well-known love for the first scent in the di Gioia series. However, when I got a whiff of Ocean di Gioia, I found a new favorite fragrance; I guess I’m just a mainstreamer. Although I really struggle to pick out the fragrance pyramid. The opening is very fresh with a hint of fruit, but for me, the pear only flashes through briefly with a lot of imagination. In the heart note, there’s a pleasant floral freshness, and the marine notes then give it the aquatic character. The dry down is indeed woody with a sweet note. For me, the scent lasts all day, which is quite unusual for an aquatic. I feel well-scented without worrying about reapplying, which I very much dislike doing to those around me. For me, a very nice addition to my collection.

I didn't understand what people meant by "shampoo scent" until I wore this. It's absolutely gorgeous but also the platonic ideal of shampoo.

This is a very easy fragrance that is great to wear on hot days or days you just want to stay home and feel clean/fresh. Love the lid too :)

A mainstream aquatic scent very similar to its other less expensive "brothers". Light and refereshing, blue, but nothing special.Nice bottle

Somewhat unisex, and beachy without being another coconut or sunscreen scent. It feels like a fresh breeze off of the ocean.

A brinier take on Acqua di Gioia. Too salty for me, but great if you wish AdG was a bit rougher around the edges.

Sad to see what L'Oréal is putting out. Is this supposed to be Armani? Drugstore level, at best. A few synthetic fruits, citrus, Ambrox. Worth 50 cents.
