Unexpected love
I was looking for something white-floral, summery, with piney notes for the hot spring/summer. I sniffed and smelled a lot of scents in the shop (even though I already have a good collection). None of them suited me, but I didn't want to leave without a gift for a 10th marriage Ann.
And then, on the top shelf, i found it. My husband says "this one". But I spent another hour going from Versence to my beloved Hermes - all was wrong. The salesgirl helped me to decide. She said that there's a 30% discount on Givenchy. So we got this one.
And what do you think?! I, who in all my 50 years had not put out even full 30 ml. bottle, because either bored or spoiled (yes, it happend), just fell in love and disappeared).
Apple. Sugary but not too sweet. Fresh, but not sour, as if the red-yellow fruit was cut and sprinkled with sugar, the scent and flavour opened up from this. Very natural. There are apple lollipops next to it; if the fruit is too sour, you can snack on it.
Not loud, but clear, tasty, but not confectionary. Either not persistent or I just stop hearing it.
As a result, I ordered a second bottle in a few weeks, this has never happened to me, although I know Givenchy for a long time and love it.
I can't find any analogues. Universal, in office and on dating, in spring/summer, not stuffy, unusual, unconventional.
10/10 scent, 6/10 longivety.

the undiscovered secret of the love apple
It looks enticing with its bright red shell, so crisp and yet surprisingly fruity. Just one bite: the shiny red sweet shell bursts quietly with a crackle and reveals the white innocence of the apple hidden beneath.

What have angels and devils concocted here in new harmony, while strolling through the summer garden scented with jasmine and roses, leisurely sipping a cup of green tea?
What secret does this fragrant candied apple hold, and what do the two have in mind?
I can clearly hear them giggling: Which Eve do they want to lead astray this time?
It must be something seductive they have devised; for sensual fragrance notes now permeate the scene: Patchouli and musk entice with a warmth intertwined with light eroticism, while amber adds fine beacons of light.

“Ange ou Démon Le Secret” as Eau de Toilette is very light and delicate, harmoniously adapting and serving very well as a daytime fragrance that does not intrude but subtly, almost elegantly underscores the personality.
Anyone looking for similarities with the original fragrance “Ange ou Démon” from 2006 will be disappointed: apart from the name, all three fragrances I tested - including the Eau de Parfum of “Le Secret” - have nothing in common.
This fragrance creation and its sister deserve their own names; each a standalone creation: crafted with feeling, polite and fine, flattering and unobtrusive.
Only what they have to do with angels and devils unfortunately eludes me! This original composition, so contradictory in itself, has impressed me too much for that.

Therefore, my conclusion is:
A charming little fragrance full of graceful lightness, but without the edges and corners that create a recognizable identity.
Bon Voyage, Chérie!

Opis Wisdom
Our family is characterized by a passion for collecting.
For my parents and me, it’s fragrances - for my grandfather, it’s wines.
Of course - he is half-French and a true hedonist.

Although I never became a "wine connoisseur," I always enjoyed attending his tastings.
When he savored a particularly good wine, the connoisseur in him would exclaim with a vivid description: As if a little angel is peeing on your tongue!
This phrase doesn’t seem to be vulgar among wine drinkers, and it came to mind again today as I sampled Le Secret.

I expected something along the lines of the original Ange ou Demon EDP, which I like for its marzipan note, but Le Secret is heavenly beautiful in a different way.
The little angel approaches with a shiny candied apple, sweet yet crisp and fruity.
Mmm - delicious!
In addition, it offers a deep red, velvety rose - a gallant gesture.
You sit under a lushly blooming jasmine bush, bite into the apple, and sniff the rose.
A picture straight out of a poetry album.
The caring little angel also serves a cup of bitter, steaming Earl Grey, which intriguingly blends with the other aromas.
Gently, patchouli lays over it, emphasizing the mild bitterness of the tea.

If a wine tastes as delicious as this fragrance smells, I can understand my grandfather's bold statement.
Which also hits the nail on the head.

Here too, the demon is absent, as only little angels dance around my nose.
A company that I greatly enjoy.

Bewitched by the Angel - Tempted by the Devil?!?
The top note is an apple :) Not red, definitely not green, no - it’s a yellow and clearly candied apple. Fortunately, it’s not too sweet.

This fragrance got me with the heart note. I smell tea, green tea, and usually that’s where it ends for me, as it often comes across as quite bitter and overwhelming. But here I find something in a direction that’s unfamiliar to me. Probably because rose and jasmine - very familiar to me - are included.

The base remains subtle, just like the fragrance itself, but very delicious.

I like the shape and style of the bottle. The upper part of the cap is made of plastic and feels cheap, which is a pity.
Overall, however, it is coherent.

It’s a fragrance that has something. It’s not the sillage, which is not outstanding. But it’s not bad either, as I can gather from the compliments I’ve received for this scent.
Still, it has lured me in, even though I usually gravitate towards fragrances with a lot of sillage.

The longevity is very good for an EdT.

Is it due to the very warm late summer weather? Or is it the elegantly balanced dosage of the individual notes? Or perhaps the beautiful scent progression?

Conclusion: I can say a lot of good things about Ange ou Demon le Secret EdT.
For me, it has the familiar Givenchy quality and I’m glad to have it in my collection :)

Unfortunately, I don’t know the other Ange ou Demons and therefore cannot contribute to a comparison.
So, now I’m taking it with me on a late summer outing and will compare how it performs in the autumn :)

Candied apples are pretty, sweet, and delicious. A playful apple scent that’s not overpowering, just cheerful.

Mysterious yet subtly playful, the EdT: "Ange ou Démon Le Secret" has harmoniously smoothed out the original's little peaks.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away - Good mood & cheerfulness from the bottle. Looking forward to the first rays of sunshine with tea on the terrace.

Sticky sweet fruity opening.
Underlined with a bitter note and a hint of flowers.
Gourmand and too sweet, but the creamy drydown is very pleasant!

If you love sweet fruit, this fragrance is perfect for you. The intense sweetness is grounded a bit by patchouli towards the end.

Beautifully fruity sweet. I love the candied apple, tea, and rose progression here. And for an EDT, super long-lasting.

The fruity scent was a bit too heavy for me. The candied apple note clings to my skin. - The longevity is definitely great!
