Shy and Pretty

Soft, sweet, and incredibly clean. Smells like warm laundry fresh out of the dryer. It dries down quickly and does not project much. On me, this is almost a skin scent.

However, the scent does last all day if you check for it (sniff sniff!) and it leaves a subtle sweetness on clothes that I can get a whiff of when picking up laundry.

I’m prone to migraines and nausea from fragrances and this does not trigger any negative response for me.

Seems to work well in many seasons as I wore it throughout spring and summer. In super high summer heats it felt a little heavy - but not quite cloying. Now into the fall with freezing temperatures upon us, performance doesn’t seem to be affected and is just as pleasant as when I first tried it.

My number one easy reach for work or when I just want to feel pretty and cozy.

Sweet girl vibes

This is definitely a beautiful perfume that gets compliments, but the sweet fruity note in it always makes me feel a bit unsure. I couldn’t really detect the woody notes, and they didn’t bother me either. I guess I just couldn’t warm up to that subtle sweetness. If you're transitioning from fresh fragrances, make sure to test it on your skin first. It's certainly not a sugary perfume, but I wouldn’t call it light either. It’s more suitable for seasons other than summer

baby shampoo

after the first spray, i thought i was going to hate it, but it's alright.

the opening did not give me the impression of fruit i was expecting, but more of a synthetic shampoo impression, with strong projection.
after fully drying down, it became a little bit more powdery/floral, which i enjoyed more than the sparkly opening.
then, after a few hours of powdery floral, i was finally able to pick out some of the ambrette/musky aspects. while i liked these base notes the most, i feel like the medicinal shampoo and powder scents got in the way for most of the time that the fragrance was detectable.

additionally, while it is fairly pleasant on a strip of cardstock, the fragrance performs unpleasantly on my skin. it feels a bit one-dimensional, and it never blends with my own body scent, instead sitting on top of my skin like a contaminant to be washed away. (i am reminded of working in a wet eeg lab and rinsing baby shampoo and salt from my pruny fingers.)

although i don't particularly enjoy it on its own, i like layering it, in a comparatively small dose, with musk-heavy rose fragrances. it adds a little synthetic shimmer.

Generic Perfume

I'm so happy I picked up a sample of this! I did not enjoy this fragrance. It smelled horribly synthetic and cheap to me. (I'm usually okay with cheapies!) This was way worse than any B&BW I have ever smelled. Besides that, it was also just very generic- a definite perfume smelling perfume, iykyk. It is very floral with some musk and a touch of fruit, but they don't seem to mesh together very well. I can't say anything about performance though- it lasted until a day later in the room even with me airing it out.

pretty irresistible tbh

I'm surprised I love this one! Shouldn't be, it has notes I love - pear, ambrette seed, rose, orris/iris, woods - but the only catch that knocks it down from a 9 or 10 is the synthetic hint in the base. It's a hint too sickly sweet, and kind of plasticky, to be something I'd want to wear every day, but in the right moments, this is something I would enjoy. I finished off a sample bottle because I enjoyed this scent so much, but it's not so amazing that I'm coveting every little drop until I budget a full size. I'm sure a lot of folks would enjoy this scent, and it's inoffensive for an office setting or public transport. I personally prefer green, aquatic, or fresh scents for the office, but if you prefer sweet through and through, this is a nice one.
