Gentleman Society Givenchy 2024 Eau de Parfum Extrême

This fragrance does not smell bad at all, but unfortunately has some tinge in it that brings to my mind the smell of stink bugs. With that scent association I get, deal breaker for me.

The smell of stink bugs I've read is some times compared to coriander. I don't see coriander as a note in this one anywhere, and the smell of coriander does not bother me at all, and does not bring to my mind stink bugs. But in any case, to me this fragrance does.

I'd suggest smell before you buy, specially if you particularly dislike the smell of coriander and/or stink bugs.

This is my favorite pickup recently! Love the bottle and design of Givenchy, super classy. First spray is that woody, iris, coffee and vanilla. Main notes being coffee and vanilla. It reminds me of Mancera Amore Cafe with the coffee/vanilla, but clearly more masculine with the woodiness elements. The sillage is moderate, the longevity is moderate. The scent is so good. This is my favorite of the Gentleman line. It was hard to pick between this, boisee, edp, edt intense and reserve privee, but this is just so unique and versatile. This can be a great fall/winter/spring time signature and depending where you live, will do great under 80 degrees.

The coffee note practically makes this a gourmand. With the rest of the notes, the original Society is very much present, not in the background but alongside the coffee. Overall, it's a very pleasant fragrance. If you like Society or coffee notes, this is very much worth checking out. Definitely a Fall/Winter fragrance. Maybe a spring fragrance on a cooler day and maybe a rainy summer day.

For my nose and seemingly overtly feminine fragrance preferences, this is too strong, but surprisingly, I am loving all the notes together. It's fresh, sweet, rich, and gourmand, with an energizing opening. I find the scent masculine and sexy without being overwhelming. Unlike with many masculine-leaning scents, I don't sense too much spiciness or headachey sharpness. Gentleman Society EDP Extreme has more a powdery sweet ending that shows itself around 7-8 hours. This isn't one of those beast mode scents that you can apply for a night out and wake up at noon the next day with it lingering on your wrists. This doesn't quite hit the yummy sweet spot (quite literally) of my favorite masculine-marketed fragrance, Azzaro The Most Wanted, but if I met someone who was wearing this, I would give them a compliment for sure! It's just not quite the one for my own personal use.

Dries down to creamy sandalwood, cedar, and vanilla.

I'd write more but don't feel the need given this is very similar to gentlemen society. Nothing takes over and takes prominence/changes significantly. It may be slightly less sweet in the dry down (slight improvement in my books)

This is a pretty lazy flanker honestly too similar to be of note. Smells solid, can't go wrong with it if you like gentlemen society."
