This coffee-vetiver aroma brings me to my knees
Many thanks to Carsten for the original manufacturer's sample of Gentleman Society Eau de Parfum Extrême :-) This is now one of the very few fragrances from today that I absolutely can't stand. This coffee-vetiver aroma is simply awful and unwearable for me - sorry! At the same time, the longevity on my skin is really strong. For the first 10 hours, the scent is very noticeable and even after more than 15 hours, you can still detect the fragrance up close. The sillage is also successful so far.
I find the top note the best in the first few minutes. At first, it smells creamy and powdery with a certain lipstick aroma. It then smells decidedly spicy with nutmeg, peppermint, a hint of clary sage and a nuttiness. The heart note is then very bad for me. This combination of coffee beans and vetiver is not my cup of tea at all. It smells unpleasantly earthy, musty, root-like and even musty to me. I can't make out the flowers mentioned in the fragrance pyramid here. The base then smells more pleasant again. Here I perceive a distinct sweetness as well as bourbon vanilla.
It's a shame that I don't seem to like coffee in symbiosis with vetiver. But I'm sure there will be lovers for this perfume too.
