Nice iris tobacco opening, disappointing amberwood drydown

I tried this on strip and was impressed...on skin ehhhh. It starts out so promising, a dry slightly sweetened iris-tobacco. Then the amberwood kicks in and it's like "oh another amberwood. In 2025." They really need to give up on this same drydown they put into every single men's release. It's just laziness. I get that you can't make a completely different fragrance, top to bottom, for every single release, especially when brands are releasing like 5 scents a year, but there exist other DNAs to choose from. Dior Homme Parfum (2024) is so much better than this. Doesn't exactly smell 1-to-1 but it does the same thing essentially and you can use it in the same situations. If you want a nice mass appealing modern masculine iris, just stick to the Dior.

Opulent and Sensual

This is a Fantastic Fragrance ! Woody, Warm, Floral, Tobacco, Ambery, Complex , Opulent and Sensual. You can't go wrong with it. I tried it at Sephora store and I fell in love with it at first sniff. It is on my Radar and I will buy it. Givenchy Society Ambree opens with up warm spicy, green and floral notes in the background then dry down is semi sweet vanilla, balsamic, tobacco and ambery. At first I saw it on Instagram then I tried it , It smells so good and very pleasant. It is suitable for cold weather. Longevity is good. The Tobacco, Amber, Narcissus and Vanilla notes are dominant in this perfume. In my opinion, One of the best releases of 2025 so far. Highly Recommended.
Second Edit : Finally, I bought it from HOLT RENFREW OGILVY today. I'm so happy that I have it in my collection and It is a New Scent for this year 2025.
Two Thumbs Up.

This is my new favorite fragrance!

I flat out love this fragrance. It's top 5 in my 400+ collection and I can't stop reaching for it. It's woody, smoky, and tones of sweet vanilla; it's fantastic. I also love Dior Homme Parfum 2025 don't like them YouTubers fool you about it. It's way better than that trash DHP. If you don't have this in your collection you are surely missing out. DHP 2025, Boss Bottled Absolu, GS Ambree all smells in the same family to my nose.

It’s nice…

…but a bit overpriced.

It’s got a good opening, semi-sweet feel that’s not overbearing, and not TOO sweet. I was bummed because the tobacco is so soft. I honestly barely get a hint of tobacco. It’s all about the amber in this. They made the atomizer douse you for a reason… it isn’t a loud performer.

Sillage is minimal unless you spray 7+ times, and even then it’s barely got a 4ft radius. Sillage is also short as well.

This is a great scent for a date or a formal event, but if you’re like me and like presence and sillage, you’ll probably be a bit disappointed.

A nice scent indeed, but I should have went with my instincts and grabbed Insurrections Tobacco & Cognac instead. (That was what the in my head battle was).

If you are looking for a tobacco scent like I was, this is NOT it, despite it listing tobacco as a main accord, and reviewers telling you it’s there.

Good, but not worth $144.

On to the next adventure.

Smokey juniper

A nice take on the juniper-sage combo that I’ve enjoyed in other scents. The tobacco in the opening is too much that I wouldn’t wear it personally, even though I appreciate the scent. Strongly masculine in my opinion. I picture a man in a suit as much as a camping stove in the woods. Despite its strength, the smoke doesn’t smother the juniper and clary sage notes, and within 10-15 mins fades away to let these two come forth, making the scent more aromatic, and a little herbal.

The juniper and clary sage are much more within the top notes of Gentleman Society, whereas in my other juniper and clary sage frags such as Pineward Juniperus and DS & Durga Coriander, they are in the middle. They stay distinctly at the fore for another 5-10 mins before muddling off into a general smoky-wood scent with some sweetness as well. I think the tobacco comes back but lingers in the background. I occasionally still pick up some creamy clary sage on the fleshier parts of my forearm, which is also where the scent tends to be sweeter. Meanwhile, it generally gives smoking log elsewhere. Slowly, a bit of vanilla comes in but it is not very strong. Waiting to see if the vetiver comes into play.
