GINGER SHOT, BUT MAKE IT CHIC
This fragrance bursts open with an electrifying, true-to-life ginger note — sharp, zesty, and as authentic as slicing into a fresh ginger root. It’s pure ginger: no syrupy sweetener, no dilution, just that exhilarating kick. A whisper of citrus and a clean musk round out the opening, keeping it fresh and bright but never stealing the spotlight from the star ingredient.

As it settles, the heart blooms with soft florals, led by a delicate pink rose that feels like rose water. This isn’t your sultry, deep, red rose — no, this rose is the garden-fresh, innocent kind.

This isn’t a slow-burn kind of scent; it’s zingy, energizing, and practically buzzing with life. Perfect for those days when you need an instant pick-me-up.

The opening packs a spicy punch, while the floral heart mellows things out just enough to keep it balanced. Impressively, for a fresh fragrance, it lasts longer than you’d expect and carries a solid sillage.

Don‘t worry, be happy!
Sun, summer, sunshine! Wonderful! A perfect day to ... go into the garden??? That may be true for many, but I certainly do not belong to that group. I can't stand gardening, absolutely not at all. I should have thought about that before moving into a house with, albeit small, a garden. And by the way: Who invented the term "weed"? It's similar to "unnecessary costs," because there are only "costs" just like "herb." And for my part, the herb could grow like in a wildflower field, but my neighbors are not really pleased with this attitude due to the wind-blown spores. Which means: I have to go into the garden from time to time.
Well then, off we go. Not highly motivated, but at least somewhat motivated, I arm myself with gardening tools, which consist of an old kitchen knife, with which I will try to pull the weeds out from between the paving stones.
Well, at least I can enjoy the sun, the light summer breeze, the morning calm, the birds chirping ...

SIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRR!!!! What is THAT?! A circular saw?! No, seriously! What is my dear neighbor doing with a circular saw on a Saturday morning? Ahh, it comes back to me, he is paving his terrace himself. So he is cutting stones. And while I try to scrape the greenery out of the cracks with my little knife, the saw blade is whirring and cutting stone after stone in a maddening monotony. Did I say maddening? No, then the nerve would be dead, rather in a nerve-wracking high-pitched whir that makes me feel like it’s pulling the last amalgam fillings from my teeth.

No. No, I can't endure this. Angrily, I stomp inside, heading straight for my perfume cabinet to spray myself with something to lift my spirits or bring inner peace. Without much thought, I choose Ginger Piccante, zesty, fresh, sparkling. One to five spritzes later, I stomp back onto the terrace and, as if to calm me, the chainsaw has quieted down, making acoustic space for the flock of birds. Cheerfully and with a decent hint of ginger in my nose, I poke around in the cracks to deal with the so-called weeds. In between, I take a quick sniff for good spirits, because ultimately, I am still doing gardening, and for that alone, the scent is necessary, and I smell not only the spicy-fresh ginger but also grapefruit, even though it should actually be lemon and bergamot, but it has that bittersweet scent of grapefruit. Maybe that also comes from the two mentioned components in conjunction with the ginger. My mood calms down, and in the back of my mind, the first notes of a song begin to form...

ROOOOAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!! Startled, the garden knife flies high into the birdbath, the blackbird takes flight due to the murder attempt, I have tipped to the side from the shock, and the song in my head is gone. My direct neighbor to the right is awake. And he loves to set up his Wi-Fi speakers (and not small ones, I actually accepted them from the postman!) in the garden and blast the neighborhood with what feels like 180 decibels. Preferably with death metal and similar. I only hear roaring, bellowing, deafening noise, and the tempo of the drums sends my pulse skyrocketing.

I leave the knife be, my nose desperately searches for my wrist... no, that’s no longer enough to maintain my good mood. And so I stomp back inside to spray myself with good vibes from the fragrance bottle. Ten spritzes later, I march outside, completely fogged up, with the firm intention of ramming my knife into the Wi-Fi speakers, only to find with great pleasure: The music is off. Apparently, another knife has found its way into the box. Or it was resolved verbally among neighbors. I don’t care, I enjoy the peace!
A renewed hint of ginger (well, hint is a bit of an understatement after 10 spritzes) surrounds me like a good mood bell, paired with the refreshingly bitter citrus. And as I work my way through the cracks, a light woody undertone joins in, along with some pepper that tickles my nose together with the ginger. Zesty and sparkling as well as refreshing, it’s a real pick-me-up. Yes, one could almost get in a really good mood if it weren't for this gardening fuss. Meanwhile, the song has crept back into my head: “Uuhh uu uu uu uu uhuhuhuhuhuhu, don’t worry, uhuhuhuhuhuhu, be happy, uhuhuhuhuuuuuu, don’t worry, be happy!” and I hum softly to myself, glad to have completed half of the terrace...

RÖÖÖÖHHHHRRRRRR! NEEEEEEIIIIIINN!!!! But no, the neighbor on the left has decided to mow the lawn in such nice weather. This can't be true... SSSSIIIIIIRRRRRRRR! The circular saw, great! JUST GREAT!!!!! I have to sniff my wrist.
“Don’t worry...” ROOOOOAAAAAAARRRRR! Yes, yes, the Wi-Fi box can definitely compete with the lawnmower and circular saw. And how it can. Don’t get worked up, sniff again. Why does it dissipate so quickly...
RÖÖÖHHHHIIIIIIIRRRRRRROOOOOOAAAAARRRRR!!!!
No! What is too much is too much!!! The weeds can take a hike, I could easily trade the neighbors right now, and I stomp angrily back into the house. The bottle is still almost full... that should be enough for now. *ppffffffppffffffpffffff*
“...be happy!”

Ommmmmm... g
In food or with sushi, I usually skip ginger; I can’t do much with that stuff. Even in fragrances, ginger is often unremarkable to me, if not unnecessary. But Guerlain's new Acqua Allegoria is anything but that. “Ginger Piccante” is India interpreted through Paris. One of the most beloved, calming, and serene scents I have ever had under my nose. More Ginger Galante than Piccante. It could also be a room fragrance. A pond of tranquility and inner balance.

“Ginger Piccante” impresses across the board. Ginger often has a tendency to be annoying, but here everything is relaxed, fluffy, soft, and perfectly balanced. A bit more feminine, as it is quite rosy and floral. A strong woman, a protector, a good soul, and a fresh spirit. The AA line does not offer a truly bad scent. But this ginger detour plays above the already strong average. Slightly sweetened, but with class. No cocktail vibe, no teenage crush. A fully grown explorer. Diana Jones. Surely a hit this summer in the airports of our world. Tea, massage oil, sexy time. She does it with style. Never too much, never too little. A fragrant Justitia. With an extraordinary balance and an extremely high quality that far exceeds the commendably low prices of this line.

Bottle: buzz, buzz, like a little bee I hum around.
Sillage: delicate and almost meditative. Wearer scent all the way.
Longevity: here the bees are never outstanding. The spicy ginger, however, lasts. 6 hours.

Conclusion: always looks good from the sushi conveyor to the massage table. An Acqua Allegoria that stands out. A truly pleasant contemporary, a world traveler, a powerhouse. A tip for any couple flying to Thailand soon. Whether honeymoon or first vacation together, whether adventure or city trip, whether culture or romance. It always works. And is actually for both. Money saved, vacation saved, forever immersed in ginger.

Great Ginger and Beautiful, Kissable Lips!
Hello my dear sniffers and welcome to a new comment from me. Today I describe the second new Aqua Allegoria fragrance of this year (2019), namely Ginger Piccante (the first was Flora Cherrysia, also a lovely, summery scent).

I must admit that at first, while testing this fragrance, I had enormous difficulties concentrating on the scent itself. Just before spraying, my companion, a good friend (and by the way just as much a total fragrance fanatic as all of you!!) absolutely had to test a lipstick color. As if it wasn't bad enough for singles like me to watch a pretty woman paint (color? dye? lacquer? Huh? What do you even call that??? I have no idea!!!) her lips with a beautiful shade, no, her lips also had to be painted by a saleswoman (and again I ask: are lips painted, colored, dyed, lacquered or what??? :D), who was ultra-beautiful and ultra-sweet, aaargh!!! It's only natural that afterwards one can think of nothing else but kissable lips, aaaaah! *sigh* :D

But despite all the odds, I managed to describe the scent here as accurately as possible. And although ginger may sound quite unusual as a fragrance note and is not really everyday when it comes to fragrance notes, this scent has turned out surprisingly well and has become one of my favorite Aqua Allegoria fragrances from Guerlain.

The Scent:
Wow, what a great start. You smell a truly wonderful mix of herbal ginger and creamy lemon (balm), which may sound very simple in theory, but in practice (that is, when sprayed) it immediately captivates you. Sure, one might think that ginger is one of those somewhat unusual-smelling fragrance notes, but here it smells so wonderfully fresh together with the lemon that it fits extremely well into the warm days!
A little later, roses come in, which also smell good and give the fragrance a feminine touch (before that, the scent seemed more unisex to me). Additionally, the fragrance has a nice, light sweetness.
For a longer time, the fragrance mainly stays with the notes of ginger, lemon, and rose. In my opinion, the spiciness from the pepper is not very noticeable. Sure, you can detect the pepper or at least something spicy when you smell closely at the sprayed area, but in the scent cloud, it comes across as a fine, spicy note at most, which is fine since it smells nice and enhances the herbal-sweet scent without being really noticeable.
In the base, you still smell the ginger-lemon-rose mix with light, creamy notes that make the fragrance appear softer. A nice, woody note from cedar adds a fitting touch, which is not very strong but still noticeable. Additionally, the fragrance has a nice, clean touch and thus feels fresh and pure. A very lovely scent!

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is moderate and therefore better perceived from close up. As has been described for several Aqua Allegorias, the sillage in this fragrance line is just like that, as it is generally for many fresh, summery scents. It may be a bit weak, but it is still sufficient, even if one might have wished it to be a bit stronger. The longevity is about six to seven hours, which is quite okay. But I would refresh the fragrance after half the time :)

The Bottle:
The fragrance is filled in the wonderful, cylindrical bee bottles. While the other bottles that also feature these glass-embedded bees are even more beautiful, this one still looks nice with its somewhat simpler design, especially since it has gilded honeycomb as a nice detail on the domed upper part. The cap is also gilded and round. A beautiful bottle!

Wow folks, I may not be a huge ginger fan, but I find this fragrance very successful and fragrant. Especially together with the lemony balm, it smells wonderful, fresh, soothing, mood-lifting, and simply great. Moreover, it comes across beautifully creamy, which enhances the feeling of well-being even more.

The only thing I would complain about is the rose. Don't get me wrong, everything smells so wonderful, including the rose. But the rose ultimately makes the fragrance really feminine, so it is indeed a women's fragrance as stated, even if it initially came across as a bit unisex. This means it is (once again) a shame for us guys, because the fragrance suits you ladies (once again… tsss…) better. Especially with dark red (or other beautiful colors) lips that look so kissably delicious that one must sigh if one cannot or is not allowed to kiss them, waaah!!! :D

Therefore, I definitely recommend this fragrance to you ladies. You must absolutely try it. Just like Flora Cherrysia, this one has become a great fragrance for warm days that fits perfectly in many situations, whether work or leisure. This one would even be suitable for going out! Soo… only Coconut Fizz is left from the new Allegorias, which I will surely test someday… you know me! :D

With that, I am at the end and wish you all a lovely evening, until next time :)

The Ultimate Feel-Good Fragrance 2019
Aqua Allegoria Ginger Piccante is, as suspected in the quick test, delicious. I know, that's a cliché way to describe it. But that's just how it is: It smells cooling, it smells like ginger-lemon tea with very little honey, a bit of spiciness, a lot of freshness, green and ...healthy.
Like freshly cut pieces of ginger in a glass with a slice of lemon, an ice cube, topped up with cold, clear water. Honey is only marginal.
The top note is the most ginger-heavy, then it becomes fresh-green, always just before the lemon verbena. The spiciness is kept in check. I hardly find it woody, and I'm searching for musk in vain.
Successful freshness kick! If summer turns out to be as I fear, you'll need several liters of this.
It even lasts longer than the shy Cherrysia, but still not long enough for me.

It's so refreshing and natural. Perfect for the hot days of summer. A spicy ginger with bergamot, a hint of rose and some bitter greenness.

It has this realistic refreshing note of a freshly grated ginger with rose underneath. For me it was too much rose.

I feel like a happy child on a sunny summer morning with nothing and all to do.
In warm weather it sparkles. Gentle and elegant, casual.

This should have been Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose. Up the sillage and it is a Guerlain winner.
