Powdered into Spring
And here we go again with a Guerlain fragrance. There are so many Guerlain scents... but I'm all for it, because I like this brand; they almost always offer good fragrances, and I really enjoy testing all these wonderful scents. So, in my opinion, there can always be more Guerlain fragrances.
Yes, I know, that might have sounded like I was advertising for Guerlain (but it would be an idea, I could get paid in bottles! Or in cats!! He he he… what would you choose? :D), but I really think this brand is great. I just find it a shame that most fragrances are for women (what a bummer…) and therefore many also smell quite feminine. Man, I want more men's fragrances from Guerlain... if something for men comes out again, it will surely be another flanker of L'Homme Idéal (let me check... I knew it!,... although the last one wasn't too bad!). But I want something completely new from Guerlain!! *grumble*
… *sigh* then not.
So here comes another women's fragrance, at least fitting for spring (even if it should be a bit rainy again).
The sweetness also has a slightly spicy aspect, but also a hint of cinnamon. The background is fruity due to the peach (and of course the berries).
I also really like the tea scent (of course, you know how much I love tea!), but I can't quite determine if it's white tea. It seems mixed with fruity notes, almost like a blend of light tea and fruit tea.
Towards the base, the lemon and bergamot become less noticeable, but the berries and peach linger for a while, with the latter being a bit more prominent now. The fruits, together with the tea, create a wonderful combination. And as mentioned, each fragrance note in this scent is surrounded by a cloud of powder, which makes the fragrance appear soft and clean.
Later in the base, I find the spicy-herbaceous note a bit bothersome, as it now also smells slightly like humid flowers, somewhat similar to Orchid Soleil by Tom Ford, just much lighter. This might not bother some, and it is actually my only personal criticism of this fragrance (yes, yes, because I don't like Orchid Soleil that much...), which is also the reason why the fragrance doesn't get a higher rating from me...
In terms of longevity, it lasts about five to six hours.
The label on the front of the bottle depicts a larger honeycomb and has a red border. A lovely bottle.
Grosellina has become a beautiful fragrance, which unfortunately is again only for you ladies. Sure, they say you should wear the scents you like, but this one smells very feminine. Well...
It is an excellent fragrance for leisure or as a daytime scent on beautiful, warm spring days (or of course summer, but still, the scent feels more spring-like to me). The powdery notes make the fragrance particularly delicate; you feel as if you are swirling powder everywhere while walking through a field full of flowers (and surrounded by fruit trees). And then there’s the tea scent, hmmm… simply wonderful :)
It's just a shame about the one bothersome note in the base, but perhaps that won't matter much to you.
I find it very unfortunate (for you) that this fragrance is no longer available, so I recommend testing it if you ever see it standing somewhere.

The Fragrance:
Hmm, the fragrance starts off very delicious. Alongside the citrusy, but not necessarily very sparkling notes like bergamot, I also immediately smell sweetish raspberries and blackcurrants, which somehow give the fragrance a slightly powdery quality. Well, it could also be that the powder listed in the base is already working well. Additionally, there is a wonderful mandarin note, which is not too weak and is quite pleasant to smell. The sweetness also has a slightly spicy aspect, but also a hint of cinnamon. The background is fruity due to the peach (and of course the berries).

The Sillage and Longevity:
The fragrance here is not really strong. At first, it is pleasant to smell like any fragrance, but it quickly becomes weaker, although (thankfully) never too close to the body, so it should still be detectable from a distance. In terms of longevity, it lasts about five to six hours.
The Bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical and clear at the bottom and rounded dome-shaped at the top. The upper part has, like most of these Guerlain bottles, gilded honeycomb as decoration, which I find very beautiful. Following that is the cap, which is gilded and starts cylindrical but ends in a spherical shape. The label on the front of the bottle depicts a larger honeycomb and has a red border. A lovely bottle.
