Food Limes
This is a food-based lime to my nose, crushed kaffir lime in a curry. Not a refreshing and light and zesty lime, but a lime in a drink or a dish. It's pleasant, and the dry-down is so light and fresh that the food associations fade very quickly. Not as impressed as I thought I would be based on the buzz about it being an excellent lime. But fresh, and perfectly fine.

Unripe Green Banana
Despite the large number of fans, I really dislike this. If you don't like this, you probably don't like Philosykos either.
Well, it's out of production so it won't cause any trouble to anyone, but I'll leave it here as a database. This is just like Philosykos. At first, it smells like unripe green bananas.
When it dries down, it smells like a luxurious cookie from a famous patisserie in a can, but the banana notes in the first half were bitter and fishy, and I really didn't like it.
I love lime and tonka bean, so I tried it, but it was the first Guerlain fragrance I felt I couldn't like at all. I'm glad I didn't buy the full bottle.
I should add that I like Nerolia Vetiver, so I don't hate Fig. I just can't like these two perfumes.

Ever tasted Caipirinha?
I did not know about the drink Caipirinha before I met Limon Verde by Guerlain. Apparently, Caipirinha is the national cocktail of Brazil. I have never tasted it, so I still do not know it, but I have read about how to make it: Cachaca (a Brazilian spirit made from sugar canes), sugar, lime and ice. To me it sounds like a Mojito without the mint leaves. I like Mojitos and it is the mint together with the lime that does it for me. So fresh and tasty. I guess I have to taste a Caipirinha sometime in the future.
Aqua Allegoria Limon Verde is a summer scent. Fresh and a bit bitter, sweetened by the Fig note. Unfortunately it lasts less than one hour on my skin. This is why it is no favourite of mine. I have some other great fresh/citric summer scents that perform way better: Ô de Lancome, a long time love for me, and Tristano Onofri’s Femme. Both last between 3 and 5 hours. Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune is also much better when it comes to performance. Check them out instead.
This does not make Limon Verde a bad scent, but with so many good Guerlains to choose form this will never be my first pick.

Caribbean Fabric Softener
I am surprised that I feel this way about such a respected and widely liked brand as Guerlain, but to my nose, this is a completely unappealing scent. I find that it is not only not a lime fragrance, but also not remarkable or high-quality in any other way. And that truly astonishes me. If my sample had been Lenor, Fa, or Duschdas, I would have agreed, but Guerlain?
I have read so much about freshly cut limes and the true green citrus summer freshness, but if my skin is not completely out of its mind, then this is more of an artificial green clean scent with a rather peculiar, prim Tropicana touch. I smell fresh bed linens, softened and nicely draped, I smell a well-aged to stale coconut sweetness, which is probably the fig. I smell a very, very slight freshness, which is more a part of the radiant cleanliness than stemming from something lively. And I also smell a little green note that comes across as terribly synthetic to me. With the grand, relentlessly invigorating effect that a real, freshly halved lime has on me, I cannot connect "Limon verde" with that, no matter how hard I try. And when I look at the pyramid: What is the point of all these chords with the made-up marketing names? What was needed here was a giant fountain of unadulterated, fizzing, and uncultivated lime juice. Instead, this fragrance tries to be a chic perfume and apparently forgets its own name in the process. Unfortunately, "Limon verde" completely misses its promise for me and is not in the slightest a summery kick. How can that be?

Alcohol-Free Caipi for Teenagers or ...
... fell into the Caipirinha tub at the city festival in a drunken stupor?"

The fragrance has been on my wishlist since the announcement of its release. Therefore, I was thrilled to finally see it at the Guerlain counter and to be able to test it. After the saleswoman asked me if I was familiar with the Aqua Allegoria scents and I replied that "Mandarine Basilic" and "Herba Fresca" were my favorites and that I already owned them, I became suspicious. With a friendly smile, she sprayed my forearm and remarked that "Limon Verde" could not possibly compare.
"Stop, hold on! Not so much of the cocktail." But it was too late. The first impression: This is what it smells like when the German-Brazilian club cuts limes in a huge tub and mashes them with cane sugar in preparation for the evening's Caipi rush. Then the scent becomes increasingly artificial and sour. (Those of you who are older probably remember Ahoi-Brause and the "bizzel feeling when you rubbed it with saliva in your hand.")

If this didn’t say Guerlain on it, I would have guessed it was a cheap, artificial drugstore scent, mainly used by girls who are not allowed to drink alcoholic cocktails yet and want to experience the Caipi flavor.

In its defense, it should be said that Limon Verde smells much more like lime on the paper scent strip than on my skin, so it is significantly less synthetic. So it's best to test it and decide for yourself. I had imagined it to be fresher and more authentic.

Refreshing lime with a bitterish note. Resembles the scent of gin w/ tonic (which I love). Good for summer. Weak params though.

Citrussy & green. Unfortunately it is not light, sparkling and refreshing but claggy, sullen, thick & pasty, like citrussy wall plaster.

Fresh and green. Smells like a calming spring breeze, with a twist of lime!

Much better than rated.
Green scent, with Caipirinha, lime, and fig notes.
Natural citrus, refreshingly different, with exciting twists.
Great!

Off to the Caribbean. Sucking on lemons under the palms,
snacking on figs and sipping a great Caipi.
Not too sweet marzipan for dessert.

Clearly underrated, very pleasant, and yet a bit special citrus freshie. Light, but with depth and twists.

Summer vibes with lime and cane sugar and a hint of coconut. I don't find it too sweet, just perfect for hot days.

Starts with zesty lime like a freshness kick. Becomes a (non-alcoholic) Caipirinha with a light sweetness + unfortunately also a lot of synthetic notes.

Underrated! Smells almost like fresh Caipirinha in a cocktail bar - very delicious. Too bad it was discontinued.

The apple-like note (composed of hesperidins and fig) with a sweet base makes the expected freshness somewhat lacking.
