Modern aldehyde
The difference of Guerlain with those which sit beside on a shelve in boutiques appears on such perfumes. Even a mediocre creation by Guerlain is much higher than a dozen of others. This is experience and prestige.

Idylle is a soft shampoo'ish floral pseudo-aldehyde with crispy and captivating yummy floral fresh powdery opening.
In the beginning it is so inviting and then play of lily of the valley begins. And finally it's musk that dominates the combination.

Longevity: 6/10
Projection: 6/10
Scent: it obviously is a good daily daytime perfumes, maybe a signature scent if you don't usually change perfumes. A good scent but not WOW!

Typical of post-Y2K Guerlain
I reviewed Guerlain IDYLLE eau de parfum a while back and was decidedly unimpressed. With a fresh sample ready at hand, I decided to give this creation another try today. Conclusion: still mediocre.

I find a somewhat synthetic-smelling lily of the valley suspended in a somewhat sweet patchouli base very reminiscent of hundreds of fragrances in the post-ANGEL period. The fruit is quite a bit less prominent in this composition, but somehow the lily of the valley doesn't really pull its weight. I feel that lily of the valley may be too delicate to use in this sort of sweet patchouli fragrance. The tiny white bells seem to be muffled by the base, which is also too musky for my taste.

If I were to compare IDYLLE to another fragrance, it might be either JACOMO for her or Yves Rocher SO ELIXIR, both of which I find to be equally mediocre. One thing is for sure, as Miss K observes below, this is really nothing like classic Guerlain, and yet another reason why I no longer blind buy from this house, which was my favorite back in the twentieth century...

A floral lacking in Guerlain's classic style
Idylle is pretty but not very memorable. After the scent had disappeared from my skin I found it hard to recall.

A nice and what I'd call, safe blend of predictable florals. I can't say that I got much in the way of a 'perfect rose fragrance', the rose was overshadowed by the lily and freesia notes. Its simplistic composition would smell wonderful as a bar of soap but in a fragrance this is far too linear and common.

I must agree that this a very classy floral, it certainly smells expensive, but I just can't help feeling disappointed and coming to the conclusion that Idylle lacks character. Nevertheless, the sillage and lasting strength is good, and although I don't think this will be an overly popular scent, I do appreciate it for all that it is.

White flower and innocent girl
I tried it. I have no interest in bouquet-like scents, and when I smell them, I get a headache.

So I'm not interested in Miss Dior or J'Adore. But this was the first floral scent I've liked in a long time. I don't know why, but it was very fruity. (I didn't know what fruit it was.)

I don't like flowers, so I think green scents were just right for me. But unfortunately, I don't have any clothes that go with this scent. I always wear jeans and sneakers. I think it's similar to the scent that you put on your head at the end of "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer". A bouquet that symbolizes pure, untainted white love. It smells like the nectar of white flowers that everyone loves. I wish it was half the size of this. But it didn't last very long. It probably contains a lot of natural fragrances.

Finally, I have found HIM, the right one!!!
Today I met a new one who swept me off my feet. Love at first sight.
I was standing in the store, spraying this fragrance on a test strip, letting it dry slightly, and bringing it to my nose: Subconsciously, I let out a sound that shouldn’t be heard in public. I looked around cautiously, startled. I have never encountered a perfume that makes me lose control like this. I smile mischievously from ear to ear and am filled with bubbling joy at having found it. This scent makes me so happy; I can't stop indulging in it. For me, it is perfection without severity, rigidity, or stubbornness, but instead feels wonderfully light, playful, humorous, sensual, sexy, and wonderfully warm-hearted.

Fragrance description: Almost all my favorites in one bottle. Freesia and peony are simply a dream for me, and then this berry-sweet fruitiness. Wonderful. The base notes, even the musk, do not push themselves to the forefront as I prefer, but rather do their work without drawing much attention, namely highlighting the entire composition of roses and exquisite fruits and supporting it with effective effects. It is simply a breathtaking experience in combination. In my opinion, it could be a bit more concentrated.

It has a slight resemblance to Chloé EdP, where the flowers and fruits go in the same direction. However, Chloé feels much more delicate, younger, and innocent to me.

If I could, I would give this noble perfume 100 points. I will have to rethink and lower all my previous ratings because of this new love. Idylle by Thierry Wasser throws quite a bit into disarray for me and stirs up a lot. I feel awe for this perfumer. What a crazy fragrance experience.

If you don't like the floral notes in the big designer perfumes, this might be for you. High-end fragrance, beginner-friendly

A very romantic perfume with a pretty smell of flowers, especially rose. If I had to spend a weekend in Paris, I would think of this one.

Musky powdery floral, reminiscent of Narciso For Her edp. Do I need both? Maybe not. Will I get Idylle while I have For Her? Maybe, yes.

The scent of romantic love: a bouquet composed round a vibrant Jasmine and LOTV heart with warm musky notes at the base. Wonderful sillage

It's even more floral now
than the Jardin
Even more spring
Tending towards lilac
But there are softer lilac scents that I prefer.

Cheeky lily of the valley tinkles on a fruity keyboard and creates a cheerful melody in powerful floral major and softened soft chords!

It's a bit too idyllic for me. Lovely flowers, a bit of fruit, on soft fabric musk. Laundry is hanging to dry in multicolor.

I really like how the lily of the valley is tied in here and not left standing alone in the meadow: powder, fruit, flowers, wood.

Sweet little fruits flirt with the colorful bouquet, teasing with clean musk. It's nice + tidy, but nothing more.
