Leftover food can also be delicious!
Hello you perfumers! Welcome to a new comment from me, today once again to a fragrance from one of my favorite fragrance brands: Guerlain! It's about La Cuvée Secrète, formerly called Cologne Fond de Cuve. According to Parfumo, a cuvée is the remnant of a fragrant liquid, the perfumed water from a kettle after the actual perfume has been produced. And it is said that at Guerlain this rest is distributed to the workers of the fragrance factory. I then imagine this as a kind of diluted perfume, a kind of scent light that flies away quickly and probably only lasts for a short time, but where it would be a pity to throw away the perfumed water. Especially if you could make the workers happy with it, so why not? Besides this rest certainly smells pleasant, as long as there is no stinky coriander in it or so, he he he (boöh, how can you only like coriander?!!).
And apparently they were inspired by this method and created a fragrance that is supposed to smell like the perfumed water of a scented kettle, at least that's how I imagine it. This may sound a bit lazy, as the previous speaker wrote, but good, it's also a way to get inspired and create a scent, and you should never judge in advance if you haven't tried a scent anyway... well well, maybe, with certain scents you should, maybe... like coriander or even orchid scents, all of which are run away :D
But well, now for the fragrance!
And you know what? That's it, too! Every now and then the intensities of the individual scents change, so that sometimes the bergamot or sometimes the neroli can be smelled better, but this also depends a little on the personal perception :D
Yes, the fragrance doesn't really change any more and smells the way it started later on, of course you have to know that the fragrance doesn't have too much shelf life anyway and therefore doesn't go through a great development. But apart from that it still smells quite nice and seems to be free of any (smellable) synthetics.
Soo,... first of all: Yes, perhaps you can compare the scent with the use of leftover food, for example. The day before, for example, you made delicious chicken, but there is a small amount left over. What do you do with it now? Well, a part of it gets in any case the cat, because there is no way around him :D
And the small rest can then either be put into a healthy salad or, when the days get cooler, you can make a delicious chicken soup out of it, which, by the way, is also very good if you have a cold!
Hmm... I think I'm a little hungry when I'm comparing scents to food, but aren't they both luxury foods anyway? D
What am I getting at? Leftover food can be very tasty, and this scent is also great, even if it should be consciously as simple as the leftover water of a scent production. But you shouldn't expect very much, especially nothing new. This Guerlain serves in my opinion only the short-term refreshment on hot days and is thus a smell, which one knows also all too well, since one had certainly already very many similarly smelling Colognes under the nose, whether of Guerlain itself, of 4711 or completely different marks, they all smell here quite similarly.
The fragrance is available in larger containers, as it is very weak. It is also made for the fact that one applies it in larger quantities and/or uses it quite frequently, one must consider only whether this is worth the price also, since one gets quite similar smells in similarly larger flacons also e.g. from 4711, which are however substantially more favorable. This Guerlain is therefore only worth testing for lovers of colognes, as it is by and large a little unspectacular.
That's it again, then. I wish you all a nice evening and see you :)

The fragrance:
One smells here... actually exactly what one sees here indicated, namely bergamot, neroli and lavender. Neroli seems to me to be the strongest, lavender and bergamot seem to alternate in intensity. In any case, the fragrance is fresh, slightly acidic-citric and cologne-like watery... well, it's a cologne! And you know what? That's it, too! Every now and then the intensities of the individual scents change, so that sometimes the bergamot or sometimes the neroli can be smelled better, but this also depends a little on the personal perception :D

The Sillage and the shelf life:
The Sillage is quite weak and evaporates soon after spraying on. The shelf life also reaches its limits after a maximum of two hours. But you shouldn't expect more from a typical citric scent, especially a cologne! The bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical, high and large! On the front there is an oval, gold-white label with the Guerlain logo. The lid is black, cylindrical and made of wood, which makes the bottle look much more noble than a plastic cap. The bottle is still quite simple, but many people seem to like this simplicity, so everything's okay!Soo,... first of all: Yes, perhaps you can compare the scent with the use of leftover food, for example.
