Boss Alive Hugo Boss 2020 Eau de Parfum

Alive I bought it last year, in the winter months. When I put it on my skin I was very disappointed, since I had tried it before on a blotter and I really liked it.
Its entrance was quite medicinal, I could not perceive fruity notes, nor wood, nor cinnamon, much less vanilla, which I love in perfumes. My nose did not perceive anything that was not that smell of medicine.
I left it in the closet for months, and this summer, I looked at him, he looked at me and decided to give him another chance... and love arose...
The result is a liqueur and sweet infusion of plum, currant and apple. My nose does not highlight one note more than another, they are well mixed. Cinnamon appears a few minutes later, but just right.
In the middle notes, the thyme is quite noticeable, perceiving a spicy point that is quite surprising after that sweet start.
Subsequently, you can see how the vanilla is emerging, a yellow and sweet vanilla that melts between the woody notes.
The background no longer feels sweet, it is rather dry and slightly bitter.
Therefore, I can say that this perfume definitely works on my skin in the summer months. I thought it would be the other way around, but my ph is that strange....
It is not a perfume to lose your head, but it is pleasant, I would describe it as woody gourmet.
Its performance and duration are decent. Personally, I wouldn't wear it to go to work, but it would be fine for going out.

If Killian Angel's Share is too boozy for you like it is me, Alive is actually a good option. This to me is a true gourmand and it smells like straight up cinnamon apple pie.

Unfortunately, the apple note in this turns sour in a body odor way on me as it dries down. It also is incredibly common place at the moment and I smell it absolutely everywhere, especially this time of year.

With the title Alive, I expected a spontaneous scent with sporty ambitions that would drive me out of bed and into my running shoes early in the morning.

But when I applied it, I was pleasantly surprised by its calm serenity.

After the first spray, I like to settle in with the newspaper - and the friendly scent complements my leisure hour.

This Alive doesn't need to be at the forefront - it is also content with the second row - a position I appreciate very much, as I prefer to observe rather than act.

I enjoy watching sports on TV - and that is enough action for me.
Alive is a good companion on the sofa.

Vanilla pairs gently sweetly with delicate aromatic woods - and is both cuddly and casually elegant.

Alive doesn't necessarily mean hustle and bustle and leisure stress - but also calmness and reflection.

And this time for myself is what Alive gives me - without any impatience.

For a long, long time I left the brand "Boss" aside. I found the scents not bad, but not good enough that I wanted one.
When my husband brought me a sample of "The Scent Private Accord for Her," I was immediately captivated. It's now my favorite. Okay, one from Boss has managed to win my favor.....
But what's going on? Now the second one from Boss has absolutely impressed me.
Even though Alive doesn't score so well in the overall rating, which I can't understand, it has now become one of my "Top Five."
It also takes a little time to develop all its warmth and versatility. (The similarity to Libre is true, but thankfully Alive is without lavender :))
For me, it's a feel-good scent in an elegant, seductive, and very likeable way. The name is program, you come alive with this fragrance. The combination of cinnamon, plum, and vanilla is to die for, simply delicious, like a great dessert that, despite the mentioned ingredients, doesn't taste too sweet, rather zesty and fruity.
A scent for every day, every occasion, every season, also suitable for the office. For the young and the young at heart :)
All good things come in threes......let's see what else Boss has in store.

I want to write about this fragrance because I feel it unfortunately suffers from the designer syndrome as well. I actually quite like it and will try to put my impressions down a bit.

The first sniff:
You first get an invitation from the apple itself, a rather sour one that has also chatted a bit with the currants from the neighboring bush. Plum and cinnamon are more likely to be found on the neighbor's cake. So, you won't pick up much of these components at first. Instead, you get a lot more of the vanilla, which runs like a red thread through the fragrance DNA. It is the one that gives the fragrance the necessary creaminess and sweetness, which adapts perfectly to the fruits in the top notes and envelops them like a bowl. Imagine it this way:
The vanilla is the fruit bowl, and inside it are green and red apples, red sour currants, and a few plums.

The development:
Now, sociable jasmine blossoms glide into the bowl, and I must say, these components really harmonize very well. There isn’t much change between the heart and base; the remarkable development occurs more at the beginning. From the woods, I can really only perceive the sandalwood, which connects all components into a larger whole.

Performance:
Sillage and longevity are appropriate for the price, but don’t expect an Alien performance :-)

Conclusion:
You get something for your money here! It is more light than heavy, more bright than dark, and more fruity than fresh. I like to wear it to bed and am already looking forward to wearing it in spring because then I am one with nature :)
