It's good but I don't like it

Looking through the prism of the brand, it is certainly a good fragrance and a very solid premiere in the Hugo Boss offer. The quality is good, the composition is not too monotonous, something is happening here. I thought I would like it, but I don't like this perfume at all. Maybe it's not so much that I don't like them, but that they didn't make any impression on me. The Scent Elixir is, in my opinion, too boring and derivative, there are at least a few mainstream titles in a similar vein and this composition doesn't really stand out compared to them. It's just there and it smells, but without much charm. Something irritates me here, maybe it's the lack of originality.
Longevity and projection are good, but there are Elixirs with higher power. I appreciate the really good quality, but I don't even want to write about the composition. It's not a bad perfume, but it doesn't convince me to spend more money on it. Even when the dust from the newness tax settles and the value of other Bosses comes down to the same level, I won't chase the bottle. Boredom.

Hey look at me i'm here!

Three sprays. Jugular, jugular, nape.

It explodes.

Spicy, chilli, chili, slightly pepper, red, fire, heat, lavender, more heat. It floods the room. Pam, pam, pam. The dance floor is yours, you take the forbidden steps. Pam, pam, pam.

It calms down. (After at least three hours, up to seven hours)

That heat and those brutal blows disappear. All of the above combines in a calmer and softer way. It seems to smell more like lavender, even incense. Tones of burnt wood, rosewood and sandalwood.

It settles down (From the seventh to the ninth hour, if it is in clothes I won't even tell you).

There is no fire left, a light touch of lavender, so light that it is very barely noticeable because now only the sandalwood is there to accompany you.

This perfume is that something that reminds you of the cold months: the brazier, the chestnuts, the shortbread, the warm clothes. All very cozy and very "oh how nice it is, how warm" but with a bit of a rascal that makes you radiate a "be careful, he's a bad boy."

Youthful/adult fragrance: mid-twenties to very early thirties. It is a perfume that you would not even wear every day. You would not wear it to go out to lunch, nor to dinner, this is to stand out, to go out for drinks and say here I am, I'll take on the world tonight and whatever else. Outside of these areas, it suffocates and envelops excessively.

In short: You will stand out, it will give you presence and in the end when it goes out, it will accompany you back home or not, if you have been lucky.

Hugo Boss, The Scent Elixir

Hugo Boss, The Scent Elixir. To be honest, Hugo Boss is right with naming this the scent, as it isn't just a scent, it is THE scent. A friend of mine told me I had to smell this, and immediately, immediately, I fell in love. The opening is fantastic, wonderfully warm and fruity, with a little spice. This made me want to buy the perfume, but I didn't let the intrusive thoughts win, and tested it first. Because I wanted this fragrance as a ''date/sexy'' fragrance for autumn and winter

So, I tested THE scent and found out that the dry down is quite fresh. The middle and base notes become warm with a fresh after-scent, so to speak. For me, when I smelled the freshness it was over immediately. The scent that I'm looking for is an autumn/winter scent, and then I don't want to smell anything fresh, nothing, zero. I ded wear the scent for a few days and got surprisingly many compliments with it, including my grandma. You will certainly receive compliments with the scent, the smell is amazing, overall this fragrance is amazing. It is just not for me.

Disappointing

I have mentioned about my general thoughts of Boss on another review of mine, but as a summary; I didn’t really like them but Bottled Elixir really surprised me so I was looking forward to see more boss fragrances. When i was gifted with the tester of the scent elixir, I was excited. The scent line’s idea (mirabelle opening, sweet, leather fragrance DNA) was interesting but the scent edt was horribly synthetic and off putting, the scent magnetic was just too simple and too far from the line’s original idea but I really liked The Scent Le Parfum. Anyway, about the scent elixir… Why this is SO sweet? There’s literally NOTHING that should make this over-sweet… it’s such a disappointment. Lavender is overall one of my favorite notes in a fragrance but I HATE lavender used in here. A sweet, synthetic and a boring journey from the start to the finish, but honestly It’s not too bad. It’s just average… And will be nothing more than that. I guess it was my mistake to hype over a Boss fragrance just because of a one top class fragrance. Performance is good, nearly reaching the 10 hour mark with a strong projection. Suitable for winter and fall, might be suitable for a date, but honestly there are MANY other BETTER date fragrances for CHEAPER prices. Price is ridiculous for this scent, literally leaving no reasonable way to purchase this fragrance.

The Scent Elixir

First of all, when you first smell the perfume, you get a spicy peppery lavender scent and this scent is incredibly sexy. Afterwards, the spicy pepper disappears and a slightly sweet lavender scent greets you, which remains for a long time. Its projection and longevity are quite high. It suits the general taste of people, especially for those who love the scent of lavender. It should mostly be worn when going out at night during winter. I recommend it, my overall rating is 9/10.
