spicy, spicier, Boss The Scent Elixir!
Exciting spice with a spicy touch, lavender and sandalwood give the fragrance depth. A well-balanced but by no means boring fragrance. The spiciness recedes somewhat as the fragrance progresses, but remains perceptible the whole time. Overall, the fragrance also exudes a certain maturity and elegance for me. In my perception, the fragrance is also best suited to somewhat more mature gentlemen. This is probably due to the fact that the fragrance does not have any typically youthful notes. The fragrance is neither sweet, nor citrusy-fresh, nor is it the least bit synthetic. The lack of an artificial touch makes it appear both more mature and of higher quality, which it probably is. At least it certainly is if you go by the Boss standards. The fragrance projects solidly and lasts a long time. However, you also have to be careful not to over-spray the fragrance. Otherwise, you will be overwhelmed by the spicy, pungent pimento note. Believe me, I experienced this involuntarily and the burning sensation in my nose afterwards is really no fun. Even if you are totally insensitive to it yourself, please don't spray the fragrance on too strongly out of consideration for your fellow human beings. But back to the fragrance itself, in my experience it works best when you are in close contact. But I don't spray the fragrance on very heavily either. If you only spray the fragrance on two or three times, I can also imagine it as a fragrance for a cozy evening with your partner. The spicy, pungent allspice definitely has something excitingly attractive about it. But of course, the fragrance also works great as a casual scent or perhaps for a date. You can also simply play with the dosage, i.e. the number of sprays. But as already mentioned, you shouldn't go too high, otherwise you'll be overwhelmed by the fragrance.

And the next elixir from Hugo Boss...
...but this one is worth it again!

The Scent Elixir has a fruity opening and is very loud for the first few minutes; the original DNA with the maninka fruit is clearly recognizable.
After that, the strong red pepper and lavender slowly fight their way to the fore, with the spiciness slowly replacing the fruitiness.
The lavender also builds up a beautiful powderiness as the fragrance progresses, which I really like and which looks and smells very high-quality. In the drydown, the creamy sandalwood note is added, which underlines the fragrance once again.

Sensual, attractive and seductive - a fragrance for fall/winter (+ spring) that is perfect for evenings and going out. I also received a compliment the first time I wore it.

The name Elixir does not disappoint in terms of performance either: it easily lasts around 10 hours, with a strong projection at the beginning, but which is present from time to time throughout the entire fragrance.

Hugo Boss has made a good start for 2024 with The Scent Elixir. As with its brother, the Boss Bottled Elixir, this is in my opinion the best flanker in the range.

A beautiful designer that always works
The Scent Elixir For Him smells really good and is very pleasing You can feel the "designer" vibe as soon as you spray it on, but that's not meant in a negative way. It smells really good.
Sweet, spicy, slightly powdery and synthetic. A familiar synthetic sweetness that always goes down well.

This certain kind of sweetness, which develops over time, is reminiscent here and there of great releases from last year. For example, a Paco Rabanne 1 Million Royal or a JPG Le Male Elixir are similar for me in terms of sweetness.

The fragrance starts with this familiar fruitiness, which is a little more subtle here in Elixir, but still present.
Then there is this typical designer sweetness and a little lavender.
Towards the end, it becomes woodier, which rounds off the fragrance nicely.

Overall, a nice fragrance that doesn't reinvent the wheel, but is solid in the basics. I like it!

First yikes, then yikes..
After noticing the announcement and reading the fragrance pyramid, for me as a lover of spicy-warm fragrances, Boss The Scent Elixir for Him was a flanker that had piqued my interest for a long time...

So, after the information "Now available in our store", I eagerly marched towards the test, sprayed it on and... literally disgusted. Ugh! -I was overwhelmed by the penetrating, incredibly fruity sweetness of ripe mango! But we all know that everything takes time and should be given time to develop...

After a few minutes, this penetrating "first hit" has also said goodbye and -whoops!- a fruity, spicy note of allspice and red pepper has rolled out the carpet. In the first 15 minutes, the fragrance is still relatively fruity and fresh, but it moves continuously and purposefully in the direction of the spice, and the lavender also slowly becomes recognizable as a floral-powdery companion and gradually becomes more and more present. -A beautiful and linear transition; just the way I prefer a fragrance to develop.
And this is exactly how the fragrance continues to develop: the spiciness slowly diminishes, but is still recognizable, while Boss The Scent Elixir for Him becomes sweeter, warmer and softer and finally arrives at its sweet-powdery and slightly spicy-woody base and takes root.
The fragrance development is really very well balanced, blessed with very good longevity and sillage. -Always present, but never obtrusive and loud.

With the exception of midsummer, I find the fragrance to be a suitable "perennial" for adult men.
Spicy, sweet and powdery, flanked by subtle woody and slightly resinous notes. But neither too spicy, nor too sweet, nor too powdery.
High-quality, mature and elegant, and definitely my next "must have"!

A smooth flanker
A smoother version of the original the scent. The maninka fruit is still there but kinda takes a back seat but overall It is much more powerful flanker than all of the previous flankers in my opinion.

I was hoping they go just a little bit more in the niche direction. Look at dior and gucci (elixir) flankers, they were not exactly similar to their original scent DNA. Anyway, this one comes close to the absolute flanker, which is my favorite one because the vanilla in that one is just amazing. I love this though, very nice and of high quality.

I recommend it
