A Nice Woody Spicy Scent
It's a great fragrance, Elegant, Classy and Sophisticated. Boss Orange Man hasn't the Orange note! It opens up with like sweet fresh fruity and slightly spicy in the background then dry down is sweet vanilla woody. The Incense and Vanilla notes are dominant in this perfume. This is suitable for the spring, summer and fall. It smells so good and very pleasant , I like Boss Orange Man EDT for Men and I'm so happy that I have it in my collection. The art of bottle design is very beautiful. I have Old Version Bottle.
Longevity is good.
Thumbs Up.

My Door Opener
About 4 years ago, I went with my sister to a small perfumery where the mother of my sister's then-boyfriend worked. She bought something, and I stood around awkwardly because, apart from a Playboy scent I had received for Easter, I had no perfume, didn't use any, and wasn't interested in them.
The mother of my sister's then-boyfriend couldn't help but hand me some samples. I think there were 4.

Once I got home, I took the kitchen roll from my desk and spread each sample on a separate sheet, throwing the packaging away immediately afterward. MISTAKE!
On one of those sheets was: Boss Orange
A few days later, I suddenly smelled something good in my room. It was the sheet with BO that had fallen down.
It was the best thing I had ever smelled up to that point. I couldn't keep my nose away.
Unfortunately, I eventually lost that sheet, and with it, the unknown scent.

Almost a year later, I was still sticking with my Playboy when I was with friends in a larger city at Müller. They were happily trying out different scents to see which one they could spontaneously apply, until my buddy called me over because he wanted my opinion on a perfume. He held the test strip under my nose...

And it took no more than 2 seconds for me to snatch the strip from his hand. I inhaled the scent eagerly and was thrilled by its originality. I associated it with the evenings when I laid the foundation for my first real relationship. With her laughter, the music we listened to together over Skype. For me, a gate opened, like to heaven, so beautiful. It was the gate to the world of perfume.

I hardly need to mention that I bought it, and it is also the first scent I repurchased. However, I only use it now for special occasions and when I know that no one else is wearing it.
I still often catch myself simply picking it up and smelling it to relive those beautiful memories from that wonderful year.

On the Border Between Want-I-Need and Don't-Need
This Boss Orange has been on my wish list for several years. It was never really at the top of my list. There were always fragrances that I preferred over this one. I really have to say that the Boss brand has many such scents. Fragrances that are somehow pleasant and good, but somehow lack that big WOW. I like some fragrances from this brand, but only a few make it into my collection. This one would at least be an option.

My brother bought this fragrance, so I have sprayed it and tested it several times. For me, it's a scent that fits wonderfully into everyday life. Very balanced, pleasant, not too intrusive, and simply very likable and soft. The wood is in the foreground throughout the entire duration. A nice wood note, which according to the pyramid is Bubinga wood. Alongside the wood, there is a lovely apple note present. It really pairs well with the wood. I'm not much of a wood fan, but in combination with fruity notes, it's truly a pleasant creation. Spices and vanilla complete the rest, which is really very pleasant throughout the entire duration. The whole creation harmonizes well and is predestined for everyday hours. The big WOW effect and the really big compliments will be absent, but that's not what daytime fragrances are meant for. They should accompany the wearer in a pleasant and unobtrusive way. This one does.

The performance is decent. The sillage is rather in the medium range, but the longevity is really good. Especially since it doesn't cost much like many fragrances from this brand. I really have no complaints about the quality of Boss fragrances. There are some that really last in the double-digit range. This one I think lasts between 5-7 hours, although with little sillage, especially towards the end.

It will probably remain a fragrance that stays on the border of want-I-need and don't-need for me. I think everyone has such fragrances that are exactly on that border. However, I can really recommend this fragrance, as it is very pleasant for everyday use and doesn't cost the earth.

Criminally Underrated
When I was 15 and no longer wanted to smell like Playboy Hollywood and Axe deodorant, I wished for Boss Bottled for my birthday from my mother. Instead, she gifted me Boss Orange man. Fortunately, because this fragrance was perfect for me at that time. It smells wonderfully fresh of citrus fruits and apple with an aromatic, woody heart note. It also perfectly matched my cheerful, carefree nature and harmonized excellently with my natural skin scent. I wore the fragrance almost daily since then, even as a student in my first semesters. I would therefore also describe it as my signature scent. It was absolutely crazy how incredibly many compliments I received during that time for Boss Orange man. In my experience, it performs better in that regard than the compliment monsters Sauvage, Eros, and Ultra Male.
Maybe I was just lucky that this fragrance harmonized perfectly with my skin and the external circumstances (age, occasions) were right; otherwise, I can't explain the rather average rating from the community for my signature scent.

At least beautifully presented
The small sample of this fragrance has probably been languishing in my decant collection for over seven years, which has grown over time. Somehow, I lacked the motivation to comment on it until now, but now it's due, because one thing I can definitely confirm about Boss Orange Man: it is indeed dressed in a distinctive bottle.

However, this needs to be somewhat qualified, as back then it had a continuous metal strip on the side of the bottle, which was likely sacrificed for cost reasons. But could that mean that the content has also been changed or reformulated?

So, just to be safe, I’ll conduct two tests. The first from the aged but still proper sample revealed that Boss Orange Man exudes a warm-fruity to woody-spicy depth right upon application. Due to the name, which presents itself as the slightly cheaper sub-brand aimed at younger people, one might actually think of oranges, but this would be so synthetic that it almost seems absurd. Nevertheless, I didn't find the combination of indeterminate fruit and warm spice with a hint of vanilla entirely unappealing. A bit of a Christmas feeling does come up. In my mind, I had already considered generously awarding the fragrance 7.5 points.

But what seemed quite decent at first turned out after half an hour to be the usual test tube brew, which continued to flatten out.

The counter-test in the perfumery took place about an hour later, but it clearly showed that the formula has indeed been tinkered with over the years. Here, upon spraying, more synthetics became apparent right away, while the fragrance took on a similar fruity-spicy path after a short time, but compared to my aged sample, it seemed a bit fresher-metallic.

Now I wonder what to make of this. My older version is, on one hand, a bit cozier and especially softer in the drydown, but I have the impression that its longevity is more limited than the current version. Boss Orange Man is certainly wearable and really suits the younger target audience better, while older individuals might be put off by the underlying synthetics that do not do justice to the quality impression of the bottle.

Red apple, vanilla and myrrh. (I have seen a different note pyramid where myrrh was included.) Good but uninteresting and a bit synthetic.

it was a gift, good quality EDT but didn't like it, too fruity, not subtil, like a bohemian fragrance for a CEO wearing a suit

Sympathetic, fruity, woody! A lovely everyday scent for anyone like me (despite being over 40) who tends to turn up their nose at the highly praised classics!

I actually wanted to buy a TV... but the consultant "wasn't stupid" and wore Boss Orange. The main thing is "we're having fun"! ;-)

Something has definitely been reformulated - and of course not for the better, if there was ever anything good here. Synthetic brew without depth.

My father-in-law gifted me a bottle from 2013. Beautiful! And top H/S. Fresh-spicy, a bit soapy, woody. A real blockbuster!

Apple with sweet vanilla sauce, lightly spiced with cloves and sandalwood. Quite synthetic, but it has something. Pleasant and understated.
