absolutely average sweet scent, perfect for teenagers, but not for ripe women.

I get only the peach which is very pronounced and no cocoa. It's pretty and innocent to the point it's almost childish.

A short pleasure
At first spray I enjoyed the peach and osmanthus notes and I was expecting to smell the cocoa base notes for almost an hour. But the result is...nothing on my skin! So, this scent is a momentaneous pleasure, maybe pleasant in the hottest season, but if I think of its price, I don't recommend to buy a so evanescent fragrance, although quiet good

Fair for a designer, but not my cup of tea
I cannot believe that I haven't posted this review yet! What had held me back? I can only imagine that I got a new set of samples much more interesting than this. However, I am just going to embarrass myself and admit that I wrote it back in June 2022...

[Review]

A juicy, ripe peach clouds over the entire room. The Scent for Her by Hugo Boss is a realistic fruity fragrance like I have never expected from a designer fragrance. Usually, fragrances like this are not just a fruit, they are a whole basket! Peaches, pears, currant, apple and all.

After a short while, the peach is less prominent and the fragrance becomes more soapy losing its magic. I do have to say that it's a lovely spring fragrance, but the cheap quality that it gets from losing its initial juicy peach, changes my whole perspective of it.

There's a white floral, freesia, that in combination with the peach makes this scent very bar-of-soap like. It's really a shame, I was just hoping I could find an alternative to Bitter Peach by Tom Ford, which of course has a poor longevity on me. Unfortunately, The Scent is not it.

I hate being so negative about designer fragrances, so I'll just cut this review short and end it with that the fragrance is not for me.

Peach Party
I am always happy when samples are enclosed with my perfume orders in online perfumeries. I love to discover new fragrances that might develop into a short- or long-term friendship.
This time I found a smell of Hugo Boss in my package. "The Scent for Her" he calls himself - without any false modesty. Now I will finally find out what THE scent is for me. I am curious, although I cannot imagine with the best will in the world that there can be a single ultimate women's fragrance. But I like to be taught something better.
Of course, I immediately apply the almost colourless Eau de Parfum to the back of my hand. Before I sniffed at the bottle and found the first impression fully confirmed on my skin: After a - oh, so short - moment of freshness it soon becomes sweet. Very cute. The fragrance appears floral from the beginning. If I hadn't read that the peach is floating around in the top note, I would have missed it. Freesia seems much more dominant to me, although I wouldn't have identified it either.
Flowery, sweet, powdery - these are the sensations that "The Scent" arouses in me right at the beginning. Powdery's good for once. I like this dry, flowery sweetheart. But that's about it. The fragrance offers no refinement and does not develop. This may be due to the fact that it contains only relatively few scents and the freesia in the top note is as sweet a scented flower as the osmanthus in the heart note.
With a little imagination I can slowly perceive the peach, which unfortunately doesn't give the scent any more character.
What could not have been done with the peach olfactorically? But with Boss, you went the easy way. What does that mean? The fragrance is "Everybody's Darling" - pleasing, sweet, not too intrusive, neither provocative nor sensual, just nice. You could also say good boy. There's nothing special about him, nothing to attract attention. Whoever wears this EdP won't look uncomfortable. Probably not at all. Because "The Scent" has something arbitrary, insignificant - like a shower gel from the supermarket or a soap. At best, it conveys a well-groomed appearance, but has nothing that will remain in your memory. The recognition value is correspondingly low.
The scent seems superficial to me. He wants to be nothing more than a sweet floral scent that goes well with summer. It's not enough for me. I guess sweet floral scents. But even with them the special is possible. Last summer I bought Daisy from Marc Jacobs. Also a sweet floral scent. But a fragrance that has many more facets and arouses romantic, dreamy and nostalgic sensations.
In "The Scent for Her" I search in vain for associations with feelings or moods. This scent does not succeed in triggering anything in me - a picture, a memory, an emotion ...
It looks like a cheap scent to me, which is aimed at teen girls: sweet, flowery, trivial. Applied - and forgotten. Not a great fragrance to underline a woman's personality.
Name and presentation suggest a precious, noble drop. The cut glass flacon is reminiscent of a one-million dollar perfume in a penthouse in Manhattan. The name plays arrogantly with the ultimate, the ultimate. It's the scent. Period. Off. Comparisons are obsolete.
Unfortunately the smell does not correspond in any way to the expectations stoked up here.
I imagine him rather in a colorfully painted Boho bottle in an unlocked shelf in a perfumery, right next to inexpensive make-up articles. And with a name like "Peach Party," he'd be a hit with all teen girls. They'd certainly love the base note of "roasted cocoa." And if I were, I could see them too...????
I can't do much with this scent. Everything about this scent is "too little" to me. Or too much. The sugary to honey-like sweetness becomes annoying with time. Because she gradually gets something sticky - like cotton candy, but without smelling so good of vanilla ...
The fragrance is uninspired, almost boring and expressionless. It would fit to a care series with shower gel and body lotion, but as THE fragrance it offers too little original and special.
Is it because of the German provenance that he comes across so well-behaved and bland? After all, he's dutiful enough to last long. You gotta hand it to him. The Sillage plays little role, since the scent is not noticeable anyway, but at best is perceived "so incidentally", without triggering anything, which exceeds "aha, sweet, flowery ...".
He certainly isn't my scent. He is too unimaginative for me and offers too few new, creative things. Well, that's lucky, actually. Because this sample will not lead to a purchase with me - although the Boss fragrances are not among the most expensive anyway. I'd rather save what I've acquired for a fragrance that inspires me more.

Summer Peach Cocktail
The search for a new fragrance led me to "the scent". After a trial spray, I immediately felt in a good mood, and the peach and freesia scent put a permanent smile on my face. I sniff, exhale, and smile. I find that when fragrances can do that, they are worth buying. And in fact, to this day, I have never regretted it. The scent is now for me not a perfume that embodies the name "the scent" - it's too fruity light and sweet - to live up to that name. But hey, the good mood comes with him - and then stays. What more could a woman want?

One peach cup to take with you
Boss The Sent for her smells like a tasty peach cup, juicy, slightly sweet and creamy...On top of that a cherry on top dusted with roasted cocoa... Yummy. It's not flowery on my skin at all. I think it also fits perfectly on beautiful summer evenings because it is not heavy or intrusive, but unfortunately the durability is really bad with me, I smell already after scarcely 2 hours nothing more and that for the price :( Too bad Schade
In my opinion the La Rive Dupe is a good alternative, which lasts longer with me
