The Archetype of Masculine Fragrance

I was expecting a leathery fragrance, but that’s not the case at all.

Instead, it leans on cedar and citrus, fresh and above all very classic, the kind of men’s scent you’ve undoubtedly encountered before.

Still, it remains a pleasant composition (a true archetype of the genre, with little chance of ever offending), though it’s clear that if originality is what you’re after, this is not the one to place your bets on...

Boss bottled a perfume beyond any possible amount of necessity

I ordered a wonderful perfume (Royal Blend Vintage , to be exact) and a sample of this perfume was inside my package, as well. What a nice surprise, I thought. On my last trip, I caught a glimpse of a BOSS advert. Looking back at my sample, I added one plus one.

Regardless, I went ahead and sprayed it on, and after smelling it, all I could think of is.. why?

Why does this perfume exist in the first place?

To me, it's a similar situation to what Prada did with Paradigme - an oxymoron ; a play between the bottle's name and it's scent. There is no paradigm to be found, only a scent profile that is ubiquitous in todays' perfume aisle.
In a similar fashion, Boss Bottled Beyond fails to go beyond anything currently present. Let's not go crazy about this "leathery ginger" combo, because in reality it's so eerily close to things like Eros Energy and Explorer that you already KNOW where this is going. This is a scent profile that has been around for almost 20 years now and BOSS released their version of it, I guess. But hey, instead of pineapple or citrus, it's ginger instead! WOW, that's crazy.
If that sounds nice to you and you like BOSS things, then make sure to try this. Otherwise, keep going

Boss bottled Beyond

This was a cologne that i did not intent on buying at all. I was in Neimann and left thinking I was not gonna get anything. then I went to hugo boss and smelled their new scent, and OMG that opening is amazing. I dont have too many scents with ginger but this opening is like 80% ginger and its just amazing, I dont really get any leather until after about 10 minutes. Its a nice, smooth, leather than a young guy could wear. I also agree with those who say they get apple in that opening. The opening is honestly super similar to coral fantasy as crazy as that may sound. Longevity is average on skin, and terrific on clothes lasting about 6 hrs on skin and 24+hrs on clothes. Highly reccommend giving this a smell in person, but if you love ginger scents like Ingenous ginger and Vibrato then this may be a safe blind buy for you.

Boss bottled Ganymède

Discovered today at the Nocibé perfumery, I wasn't even aware of this release.
Having discovered the entire range with the very pleasant citrus surprise, I had to try this one, especially since no one has commented on this product on the website yet.

The leather takes over at first, reminding me a bit of the opening of Mont Blanc Cuir Extrême.

But don't be fooled, after a few minutes, I find a similar result to Ganymede and Bois impérial.

So, nothing new, just a more accessible scent that could appeal to many fans of these two fragrances, which were hugely successful. The sillage and longevity are still less good, at about 7 hours.

Tasteful Maturation

… of the existing Boss Bottled line in a dialogue between fresh spicy notes and a masculine, elegant warmth. In other words: ginger meets ginger.

It radiates quite softly, and I find the longevity on my skin to be very good. Given the price and in combination with current discount promotions, it was an easy decision for me, one I have not regretted so far.

The opening primarily consists of a spicy, long-lasting ginger freshness. Gradually, warm, embracing leather notes unfold. All of this happens quietly and leads me to a sensuality that can be described as flattering and profound. And then, with the base notes, nothing goes wrong, as warm, earthy, woody notes follow: vetiver, cedar, …

This suits me for many occasions and brings joy as I continue to enjoy the golden summer.
