Dependable scent effect from start to finish!
Okay, so let's address the elephant in the room; the parallels to Alien. The fragrance community seems unanimous in its verdict that Addictive Vibration is indeed Alien-esque , & while it does have some characteristics borrowed from its designer counterpart, Addictive Vibration is still in a league of its own. I personally believe that the similarities are more random & unintentional than deliberate. A belief that is further reaffirmed by the distinctly non-identical note pyramids. Think of Addictive Vibration as a poetry-reading, more contemplative & sophisticated Alien. It does open with similar grape-juice facets but Addictive Vibration is decidedly smoother & more challenging. As a biased Alien loyalist, it's paining me to admit that Addictive Vibration is marginally better but that's only because of how L'Oréal has butchered & terribly reformulated the og Alien into the current day Alien.

Coming down to another frequent criticism of this perfume; the MUSK. Initio's musk is regarded as somewhat divisive in character from what I've observed through the reviews. However, for me, the slightly animalic, almost dirty/damp & earthy Addictive Vibration musk was truly a rewarding experience. I try to steer clear of excessively powdery, laundry-clean, Narciso-Rodriguez-trademark-musk so the musk in here was a welcome departure from these proverbial musks. Here, it's carnal & sensual - like the hot skin of a beloved, to which you react with swooning indulgence. These erotically charged musks can take all my money!

AV only features 5 notes; Honey, Musk, Orange Blossom, Apple Blossom & Vanilla Orchid. The honey note is immediately perceptible upon opening, which lingers beautifully throughout the progression. The honeyed white flowers create an effect of inviting yet mysterious touch. It's not without precedent that white flowers pair well with musk, as it helps to enhance their indoles. Colour me utterly fascinated! No exaggeration to flat-out admit that Addictive Vibration is undeniably in the outright-love category for me. Throw your performance concerns out the window as this one is loud and proud.

The musk ruins the entire fragrance
Initio has a few fragrances whose pyramids make me salivate in anticipation, and Addictive Vibration was certainly one of them. It could've been a major like, or even love, had it not been for... yes: that awful, awful musk!!

My skin has a tendency to pick up base notes quickly, in this case making the musk a part of the fragrance from the very first second. While I get to enjoy the lovely honey note in this frag - and I'm a huge honey lover (though I hate the sugar water concoctions that sell as honey in supermarkets. I always buy mine in specialised places. More expensive, but worth it) - the flower portion, that could be a wonderfully sweet & elegant scent experience, is ruined from the get go. As a result, the entire perfume becomes one I'll definitely never get a full bottle of (thank god I got a tiny decant!)

The musk in here isn't just dusty, but root cellar damp earthy. Like cheap patchouli, but with a slightly old flower stem-accord. You know, just before that slimy mold sets in.
I've had bad experiences with musk before. Usually when the blend isn't balanced and/or with cheapies. I don't expect a brand like Initio to use subpar products (though, then again, with said cheapies often outperforming designer and niche fragrances nowadays, who can say), but it is how this musk comes across.

On the one hand, Addictive Vibration is delicious. The part I had expected to like, is indeed great. I had not, however, counted on 'flower stem rot in the root cellar' to take my joy away.
Alas, that's what happened and it isn't until the very, very last moments of AV on my skin, its dying moments if you will, that the disgusting musk dissipates and you get what Initio should've created: a wonderful, elegant honey-lathered blossom-duo, with a vanilla base. Sadly, by that time the fragrance is in nose-to-skin territory and ready to vaporise entirely. I think I barely got 10min out of it.

Please, Initio, dump that atrocious Musk and add a creamy sandalwood base, or a warm golden amber, maybe some coumarin, or even a cashmere infused vanilla. All they'll do is give the warm hug this fragrance deserves and should've had from the very start.
Yes, it has a decent lasting power and average projection, which on my dry skin means it is good to great on others, but who wants to smell like almost rotten flowers, and damp earth mixed with honey? (I thought I was alone in this, based on the hallelujah reviews, but 'luckily' found others on the red site. If musk can be a difficult note for you, I think this is a no- go. But in all cases>>>)

Definitely do NOT blind buy!

Another scent that made a lasting impression for me
This is another scent that has grown on me more and more, and one I’ve thought about over the last year since I first sampled it. While it wasn’t a love, it made a lasting impression.

Addictive Vibration is a beautiful, sweet, honey and apple blossom scent. It does remind me of "Le Vie di Milano - Limitless Shopping Via della Spiga | Trussardi" which I decluttered as it began to remind me too much of shampoo. Addictive Vibration does smell similar, but it doesn’t give off the same vibe for me. You can tell this is a much higher quality blend. To me Addictive Vibration give off a care free, happy, hippy girl vibe that I'm just loving currently.

Good Vibrations are addictive
I-I love the colorful clothes she wears
And the way the sunlight plays upon her hair
I hear the sound of a gentle word
On the wind that lifts her perfume through the air
I'm pickin' up good vibrations
She's giving me the excitations
I'm pickin' up good vibrations
She's giving me the excitations
I'm pickin' up good vibrations
She's giving me the excitations
I'm pickin' up good vibrations
She's giving me the excitations
Close my eyes, she's somehow closer now
Softly smile, I know she must be kind
When I look in her eyes
She goes with me to a blossom world
I'm pickin' up good vibrations
She's giving me excitations

-Beach Boys-

This song perfectly captures the alluring, fresh eroticism of this fragrance - at least as I perceive it. The time when this song was sung also fits the scent - Sweet Candy pink - a time when everything was a bit more colorful, sweeter, and cheesier.
Upon the first spray, you can already tell - Wow, this is bold! It starts off very fruity - for me, it smells like apple pieces cooked in orange juice and sweetened with vanilla honey. And next to this drink stand, there are really beautiful candied apples - the ones with the red sugar coating... Turkish delight is also being offered there... Everything is colorful, sexy, and in a festive mood. And so fruity, unmistakably sweet, and challenging, the vibe remains for quite a while. Only after 5-6 hours does it mellow out and turn into a creamy, vanilla orange blossom. Overall, this fragrance lasts at least 9 hours - it can only be removed from clothing after washing.
This scent is not for people who don’t want to stand out - this fragrance is inevitably noticed by most people, especially due to its distinctive orange honey note - usually quite positively. The sillage is strong - the scent lingers in the room even after the wearer has left - but it’s quite pleasant. I find the scent to be exceptionally feminine. However, the dose makes the poison: up to 3 sprays, it is sexy with a certain irresistibility; more would spoil everything, and one might easily be perceived as an over-perfumed diva.
I like it - it is special, with its own breathtaking, honey-sweet performance.

Apple-Orange Blossom Coated with Honey & Vanilla
Once again, there is something to say about an Initio. Maybe I will eventually manage to comment on all the fragrances from this brand. Due to current events, here is a review of this Addictive Vibration. This scent recently joined my collection and is perfect for autumn and the pre-Christmas season, especially in the evening when darkness sets in. In the past, this fragrance was listed here as a women's scent, and some shops still carry it as such. However, in niche perfumery, I believe the classification is rather secondary. I think this brand exclusively sells unisex fragrances, allowing everyone to decide for themselves. I like that. Especially since this rather unpopular and moderately rated fragrance is available at a very good price, partly for €100 below the MSRP (€245).

The packaging is, as always, consistent and perfect. Not too much, not too little for this price range. You get an elegant package where this beautiful bottle is well stored. The packaging is sturdy and features this great red glitter pattern. The 90ml bottle is also top-notch and uniform.
Many might be put off by the listed fragrance twin "Alien (Eau de Parfum) | Mugler." It's already an extremely popular women's bestseller with many lovers but also enemies of this scent. I can say: There may be a few similarities, but they are not so close that one shouldn't test this fragrance. Here, of course, there is a floral component with orange blossom that leans somewhat in that direction. Otherwise, this scent has apple and honey, which make it unique.
This fragrance is part of the Absolutes line. These are the black bottles, of which I also own Blessed Baraka & Absolute Aphrodisiac. Most have a great dark-mysterious aura. This one is slightly dark as well. You get a wonderful blend of flowers, fruity apple, soft honey, clean musk, and soft vanilla.

From the start, this fragrance is very warm and perfect for those autumnal dark days when you are reluctant to go outside, and if you do, you want to be well wrapped up. Here you get a warming scent with a mysterious DNA that is perfect for the later hours of the day. Primarily, you get a mix of soft honey and beautiful orange blossom. This is complemented by fruity-sweet apple. A great trio, with a lovely sweet vanilla added and also creamy-clean musk. The musk is creamy but also slightly powdered and definitely feels well-groomed. The honey note somewhat resembles that of Naxos, and honey fans should definitely test this one. For me, a name that absolutely fits. This fragrance is indeed addictive, as you enjoy smelling it very much and it will certainly bring many compliments. Initio simply hits a nerve that the masses love, without being too mainstream. Definitely a pleasing niche.
The performance is quite good. For the first 3-4 hours, it projects really well. Longevity is also very good, with a minimum of 10 hours. Satisfactory, as is typical for this brand. The fragrance is definitely unisex, although as a man, you need to like this floral note. I find this extremely unique as a man, which is often a significant advantage. As a woman, it works well too.

Overall, a great honey-orange blossom pleaser that is very cozy but also possesses a certain sex appeal. Since it is rated somewhat controversially, I would advise against a blind buy. On sale, this fragrance is a great deal.

Naxos without the tobacco or lavender…which ultimately make that scent interesting

I absolutely love the opening and the way it dries down to a skin scent. It’s just a shame that, in between, I get strong rubbery notes on skin.

Smelling this reminds me of a heavily scented handmade candle/soap shop. Probably if this was a candle or soap, I'd enjoy it more.

Leans feminine. Apple and orchid dominate, slight muskiness - i do not smell honey. Pleasant with atrocious projection and longevity

Opens honey & orange blossom (Alien-esque) with a hint of fruitiness. As the sweetness fades, the poorly blended musks disappoint on-skin.

Phew, that's too much for me. Orange blossom with honey and creamy musk. All of it feels overdone and narcotic.

If I had seen the twin right away
I would have saved myself the trouble :(
Immediate need to wash it off...
An alien is still an alien even if it's
from Initio ;)

Orange blossoms with their deep sweetness dominate the scent and are caught by musk powder (animal touch) as it settles down.
