Tumultuous Tuberose
I found 4 50ml 'snowglobe' bottles of Fragile tucked away on a bottom shelf in a duty free shop I frequent on my incessant travels. Having recently found out that it is an INCREDIBLE Tuberose I bought one (ridiculously inexpensively) and it is fast becoming one of my favorite frags of all time! I'm passing through the same shop again in a few weeks and will definitely buy the remaining stock!

This thick and creamy white floral bounces off the skin with a fizz ... the ginger in the top undoubtedly responsible for this phenomenon! The Tuberose here is lush and plentiful ... and lasts at least 10 hours on my skin. In fact, this fragrance is so well composed (even the musk which I usually abhor is very well behaved) that it's discontinuation boggles the mind. It's not overtly feminine on me. If you like Tuberose and you haven't tried this you are surely missing out on one of the most beautifully crafted white florals of the turn of the century!

Yes, it's heavy ... yes, it throws back to the late 90's ... yes, it'a a sillage monster!! YES, YES, YES ... it has all the things I like in a perfume. Simply wonderful!!! Bravo Mons. Kurkdjian.

Dreams Behind Glass
My father always brought me something beautiful from his business trips - chocolates, perfume, and snow globes.

As a teenager, I was relatively indifferent to scents - the chocolates appealed to me much more - and even more so the snow globes.

I could daydream for hours about the little scenes encased in glass.

I was the lady who circled the Eiffel Tower with her poodle - and occasionally, I let it snow down on my alter ego.

Or I stood as a little photographer in front of the Colosseum - right in the middle of a snowstorm.

It was only later that scents accompanied my fantasy journeys and even inspired them further.

That was when my love for fragrance was awakened.

Of course, I was drawn to the Fragile bottle, as it combined my preferences.

I was that delicate, elegant lady upon whom golden rain fell.

And the scent touched me too - for it spoke of glamour and fame.

Proud rose and enchanting tuberose and ylang-ylang. Very sensually, vanilla and cinnamon were added.

This fragile lady behind glass was a femme fatale, a heartbreaker, and the star of the Moulin Rouge.

And whenever I held the bottle in my hands - I was HER alter ego.

Symphony of 1000 Pearls
First of all, a thousand thanks to dear LA for the sample of this dreamy perfume. And believe me, I tested Fragile 3 times today, in different places - so to speak, with full body commitment - to do justice to the scent in a comment. But also because the top note initially puzzled me.

But I figured it out. Fragile starts with a noble, mysterious sprightliness. With a hint of sparkling sharpness. As if you were mixing grated ginger, a pinch of coriander, and oranges with a good, dry champagne and pouring it over your skin. The champagne bubbles burst one by one, providing a tingling intoxication on the skin. However, not loud, but erotic and playful.

Rose and tuberose make their presence known clearly and audibly. Yes, the heart note is almost dominated by the tuberose. A floral ecstasy. But even here, I get the impression that Fragile is hovering around me, and I was afraid that this dreamy composition would float away. Like in a dream that is so beautiful that you don't want to wake up. But the dream remained; it did not dissipate.

The awakening was ambery, powdery, gentle, yet very present. I would describe it like this: Like a very beautiful woman who is delicate, appears very fragile, and yet carries an unexpected strength within her.

LA, you know that I don't like cloying scents that hold no secrets, and you hit the nail on the head here. THIS is not Fragile. It holds all the secrets. This will definitely be my next perfume. Kiss Medusa, who hovers on scent pearls.

Madame de Pompadour
Or also known as Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson, Dame Le Normant d’Étiolles, marquise de Pompadour, Duchesse de Menars (copied from Wiki).
I wouldn't choose any other "calculating" scent for this clever woman.
Dominant yet submissive. Gets what she wants without pushing or having to use "force" and intrigue. Turns her enemy into a friend.... a seemingly still water that knows exactly what it wants.
Fragile is just like that. Loud with orange blossom, jasmine, ylang-ylang (unmistakable!!) and coriander. Engaging with bergamot, rose, and star anise. And as a crowning touch, the "soft" notes of amber and musk, dusted with a hint of cinnamon.
This fragrance has absolute recognition value, is completely vintage, and is a "bang" that demands courage, self-confidence, and a certain degree of cheekiness.
Fragile is bursting with floral splendor. But not like a bouquet, rather like a lush palace garden full of flowers, arranged in various patterns and colors. Framed by fruit trees and bushes in the hottest summer. Humid, heavy, powerful. A floral-fruity scent that fades with a herbaceous-green finish.
Here it’s a case of "less is more" and the longevity is typical of vintage scents -> enormous!
The bottle is classy, albeit a bit kitschy. Unfortunately, it is also very awkward to spray.
But the scent is very striking, and Fragile surely manages to outshine one or two competitors ;-)

The Golden Swan
What a bottle! Personally, it's almost too playful for me (& definitely difficult to spray), but still: extraordinary, iconic, elegant. Only JPG dares to do something like this in the designer realm... and just for such designs, I am glad for the brand & its success. However, this golden glass orb has seen far less success than the Korso bottles Le Male and Classique - unjustly?

I can definitely answer that with a yes, because Fragile is no worse a perfume than the famous bestsellers. So it's a shame not just for the bottle. All the more I appreciate the remaining ml in my certainly several years old sample, which must be worth quite a bit when you look at eBay prices and the rising rarity. One could almost describe Fragile as a sought-after collector's item - although this is largely due to the eye-catching design that collectors like to have/would like to have on their shelves.

With so much eye candy, one naturally worries that the content has been neglected. But I find that unfounded here. I would even go so far as to claim that Fragile is even better than most Classique versions, which, as always, is a matter of taste and I haven't thoroughly tested the many feminine bodies yet.

Fragile EdP is a pompous, loud diva perfume full of tuberose, a bit of sugar, ylang-ylang, vanilla, and a lot of orange blossom - so it's a typical Kurkdjian, just turned up loud. And very feminine - hardly manageable for a man. But not everything has to be unisex - and anyone wanting to test their limits can wear & test it while going out.

Bottle: enough said - unique!
Sillage: pompous - here Kurkdjian really pulls out the bazooka for his standards!
Longevity: from a land of restrictions & prohibitions - easily 10 hours!

Conclusion: some perfumes are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and have no chance of surviving... but this glass orb deserved not to be trampled so quickly - and that's also due to its diva-like content!

The bottle is prettier than the scent, and it smells good on paper, just not on me. The citrus-ginger start isn't for me.

Anything but fragile. An adult white flower diva with ylang in her hair, green eyes, very feminine curves & a hot temperament. Dots!

Nothing is fragile here, the diva comes, sees, and conquers. A cornucopia of almost narcotic-scented blossoms, spiced, powdered, sweet, and enchanting.

Tuberose, you delicate, fleeting bloom, here you have been captured and you unfold - anything but shyly - your heavy scent.

This is what the turn of the millennium smelled like. Spicy tuberose in crystal-clear, cold vanilla. No one has ever smelled like this again, absolutely insane creation!

Floral-spicy. Tuberose, clove, and rose are heavy in the nose. To me, it feels more "old-fashioned" than delicate.

Orange blossoms and Ylang Ylang, juicy, overripe, and lush. It becomes deep green and slightly spicy, but never loses the orange blossom.
