Redundant
If you already own any one of the following fragrances — Le Male Le Parfum, Le Male Elixir, or Le Male Elixir Absolu — then purchasing another from this trio is, quite honestly, unnecessary. The scent profiles are incredibly similar, to the point where the differences are barely noticeable in daily wear. While each version may have slight tweaks in notes or intensity, in real-world use, they all deliver a nearly identical olfactory experience.

Le Male Le Parfum brought a darker, more mature twist to the original DNA. Elixir added a touch more sweetness and density, while Elixir Absolu is marketed as an even more intense and luxurious version. But when sprayed side by side, the nuances are extremely subtle — and mostly apparent only to trained noses or hardcore fragrance enthusiasts. In terms of projection, sillage, and longevity, they all perform excellently, lasting 8–10 hours with ease.

For the average user or even the moderately invested fragrance fan, it’s hard to justify the price of buying all three. The bottle designs are attractive and collectible, which may appeal to fans of the brand, but if you’re looking for variety in your scent wardrobe, these aren’t distinct enough to warrant multiple purchases.

In short, unless you’re a die-hard collector of Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances or want every limited edition release for display purposes, you can confidently skip buying the others if you already own one. You won’t be missing out on anything groundbreaking — they all smell great, but they smell pretty much the same.

Le male elixir with fruity, synthetic plum
For me it's like le male elixir plus a fruity, synthetic plum with from time to time a light coconut*ish note. Similar to the scandal absolu Plum / coconut*ish accord.

Pretty similar to the elixir in smell and performance. So kinda redundant but it's also quite apart with the distinct fruity note. But that's almost the only difference for me. Maybe it's also a bit less harsh compared to the elixir, probably because of less tobacco.

Pretty good I like it. But seems maybe even a bit more sweet and juvenile than the elixir. And also even a bit more unisex. So I think I still prefer the elixir although both I'd say are pretty good.

Le Male "Extreme"
My first JPG was Le Male, bought when it was first released. For years, it was my favorite perfume. What I found in this new release has something that reminds me of the original Le Male. Now amplified and showing itself with more impact in a more intense and sophisticated version, combining the stronger facet of Elixir.

Initially, it is explosive, as if shouting loudly: "I've arrived!". A very striking aroma made to capture all the attention immediately. The opening is marked by the refreshing lavender, alongside the plum, creating a fruity and juicy sensation.

In the background, after the initial explosion, a sweetish tone emerges that envelops us, almost warm, leading us to the tonka bean surrounded by vanilla.

Amber Aromatic profile, very radiant, made to stand out in the crowd, clearly for a young and modern audience who like striking perfumes and are not afraid to attract attention. It sins by excess, which makes it too heavy and ends up saturating.

I admit it…
… I grabbed it because I’m a Le Male loyalist.

Is it “groundbreaking”? Nope.

Is it a “must have”? Absolutely not.

Do I regret it? Hell no, I’m a Le Male fan.

That’s how you have to look at this. If you have a bunch of Le Male and aren’t a loyalist, you’ll find this a bit redundant.

Yes there are some SUBTLE differences, but if you have or recognize the Elixir or Parfum, you’ll smell the similarities.

Performance wise, just like all JPGs, the scent projects and performs well. A 5+ft radius scent bubble that leaves a lingering sillage trail that points directly to you and where you’ve been. Longevity is 8-10+ hours.

It’s a bit sweet for formal events, but otherwise it’s flexible for usage. Not very different than the more recent releases, but that’s how JPG plays the game. They want you to recognize the family DNA.

I’m happy with it. Enough said

Le Male Elixir if it was good.
While this is *slightly* linear, its got a bit of complexity to it. The sweet components work really well together and is very smooth. Tonka bean, benzoin, the random whiffs of plum in the air.. its beautiful. The spices are soft, its a very warm cinnamon and cardamom feel that give a lot of personality to the fragrance. I would usually prefer my spices to have more texture to them, but its simplicity works here. Within the spices, there's the supporting notes that fill in the gaps and make it more smooth and complete. It's a woody labdanum and patchouli, and the smooth davana really connects the woodiness with the fruity sweet notes. I don't really detect artemisia or bergamot, the ambrette gets a lot more prominent the longer its on skin, giving a lot of texture instead of just smelling something sweet at the end of its life.

Quentin Bisch made something really amazing here, definitely an improvement on the original Elixir. It's a lot smoother, less in your face, and it makes the wearing experience so much better. If you liked the smell of Elixir, but hated wearing it, I think there's a good chance you're going to like this one.

Le Parfum and Elixir are both better than this. Did we really need this awkwardly-named flanker?

Worse than the regular elixir in almost every single way. This smells unfinished.

I mean... 70% Le Male Elixir + 30% Le Male Parfum.
Slightly redundant to be honest.

Once artemisia fizzles out in 2 hours, what's left is any other Le Male. Boring, powdery, sweet. Desperate to prove that it's a real boy.

Another bad JPG. Hyped as hell in YT for the past years. This has less sweetness than Elixir but the Plum is not that good. Very mediocre..

The longevity here is also still the same as with the first Elixir. I still get 9-10.5 hours of wear with this version of the juice.

Disastrous, to scrub off. Synthetic sunscreen vibes paired with the cloud of scent that hits you when you enter a perfumery
