Redundant
If you already own any one of the following fragrances — Le Male Le Parfum, Le Male Elixir, or Le Male Elixir Absolu — then purchasing another from this trio is, quite honestly, unnecessary. The scent profiles are incredibly similar, to the point where the differences are barely noticeable in daily wear. While each version may have slight tweaks in notes or intensity, in real-world use, they all deliver a nearly identical olfactory experience.
Le Male Le Parfum brought a darker, more mature twist to the original DNA. Elixir added a touch more sweetness and density, while Elixir Absolu is marketed as an even more intense and luxurious version. But when sprayed side by side, the nuances are extremely subtle — and mostly apparent only to trained noses or hardcore fragrance enthusiasts. In terms of projection, sillage, and longevity, they all perform excellently, lasting 8–10 hours with ease.
For the average user or even the moderately invested fragrance fan, it’s hard to justify the price of buying all three. The bottle designs are attractive and collectible, which may appeal to fans of the brand, but if you’re looking for variety in your scent wardrobe, these aren’t distinct enough to warrant multiple purchases.
In short, unless you’re a die-hard collector of Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances or want every limited edition release for display purposes, you can confidently skip buying the others if you already own one. You won’t be missing out on anything groundbreaking — they all smell great, but they smell pretty much the same.
