No, how cute...
Thanks to Diorella for this sample. Since Mimosa pour Moi by L'Artisan, I really like this delicate little plant and have some expectations.
Some fragrances from L'Erbolario are true knockout scents that linger around you for a long time.

Mimosa is a bit softer and doesn't hit you right away, yet it has quite good longevity and sillage.
But... this fragrance does put me in a bit of a dilemma.
It is quite sweet and has a slightly synthetic feel.
It starts off very floral and sweet, and it stays that way. I can't perceive any citrus notes at all.
It doesn't develop, which doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing, because in the end, it is and remains a mimosa scent. And you can smell that, even if it is a bit artificial. It doesn't come close to Mimosa pour Moi, which is much more refined.

Still, it is somehow a cute floral scent that I quite like.

Fruity Mimosa
As with other L`Erbolario fragrances, I am also convinced with Mimosa that the scent hides a pyramid and does not consist of just a single note.

Mimosa starts off distinctly citrusy, which cannot be overlooked and initially disappointed me a bit, as it takes away the character of the sweet yet delicate mimosa scent. Fortunately, this top note does not last long, allowing Mimosa to show its finer side. For a long time, the thought of mimosas was primarily associated with the yellow bouquets that drive away the winter gray. And of course, the delicate feathery leaves that fold up in shock when touched. However, last year I drove towards spring and saw blooming mimosa trees in all their glory. There it was, that sweet yet delicate scent, not heavy at all, but rather powdery with a very light hint of honey.

L`Erbolario has captured this scent, but has made it less desirable for me with the citrusy, fruity additions. I prefer to sniff Tiare-Mimosa from the Aqua Allegoria series by Guerlain, where the mimosa does receive some reinforcement, but aligns more with the soft, yielding mood that I prefer.

A sunny bouquet of mimosas on my skin: that's my memory of this wonderful scent unfortunately discontinued. A springtime gem I miss so!
