I shall stick to the original
One of the decisions I made, when I decided to downsize my collection, was to get rid of my obvious dupes. Among them brands like Black Onyx, Lidl, Come!Closer and La Rive. Not because they are necessarily bad. I just do not think they are as good as the original. In Love is a proof of that.
This is supposed to smell like J’Adore. It does in some ways. It has the same sparkling beginning. It does have the rose in the heart. And it does have the same bottle shape. But…
When you blind test the two, I smell a huge difference. I even had a friend blind test the two as well. We both ended up liking J’Adore much better. I am not sure what notes make the difference. It is not like I want things to be pricy. But I do like quality. Therefore it is important that I can smell the difference. Otherwise I could just buy the cheap fragrance. But I have decided not to.
