Something Sweet is Needed by Humans
Today, instead of my dear friend's lovely voice on the phone, I reached only the O2 hotline.

My astonishment was limited, as her beloved regularly intends to interrupt our calls.
He redirects them at his discretion.

His audacity annoys me - and I get a pulse, but my friend only chirps submissively that she wants to "talk" to him.

This seems to impress him little, as he continues his games cheerfully.
My husband suggested that I redirect her calls to me as well - perhaps to the train information of the federal railway?

In principle, a good idea, but I would feel guilty towards the information-seeking customers if I occupied that line.

I need something that uplifts but harms no one.

Then La Vie est belle l'eau de toilette comes into my hands, and its gentle sweetness caresses my frayed nerves.
Caramel and vanilla are enveloped in a delicate smokiness that contours the fragrance and prevents it from sliding into cloying sweetness.

The almond flows together with the praline - and smoothly, floral notes join in.

And my inner attitude also tends to become "smooth" again, and I think of my father's saying regarding the phone blocker: In every circus, there is a clown.

Apparently, this is to my friend's taste - my taste is the l'eau de toilette of La Vie est belle.

A positive, friendly companion that I do not want to miss.

Love Poem a la "La vie est belle"
I love you and never want to be without you again! So much for starters. The EdP is already one of my favorite fragrances, but it is very strong and therefore works better in the evening.

Here is a more everyday-friendly version. The scent is definitely lighter than the EdP. It still leans heavily towards La vie est belle with a new wonderful note of magnolia. I have been approached about this fragrance so many times now, which has never happened to me with any companion!

A friend who owns the EdP herself told me: "At first I thought of La vie est belle, but then it was something new and wonderful, something different... magical!

I wouldn't know what could be improved... Life is beautiful.

a visit to the patisserie
This morning was quite eventful again: several errands were on the agenda. Two drugstores, my Yves Rocher shop, a doctor's office, and a few other things. Door open - door closed: always in and out. Everything around one location - well, at least that's an advantage!
These special days always come up with a few surprises: I spent more than forty minutes at U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations; with each arrival, I saw my train from behind!

So I ended up with full bags and a bit worn out in the perfume department of Karstadt. I felt a bit like "a cow in front of a mountain": at first, I didn't even know where to look.
Through the advertising and the local comments, I decided to try a spritz of "La Vie est Belle."
I must say that I have never really harmonized with Lancôme before. So I was very pleasantly surprised: how delicious was that? Was I in a patisserie?

I immediately noticed the almond and the waxy magic of the magnolia blossom: a bit bitter, a bit herbaceous.
White flowers and patchouli in special concentration smiled at me: I automatically smiled back.
The "sweets" that then fully unfolded pleased me immensely: especially caramel!
This is now the second time in a few days that I have encountered caramel in a fragrance and am simply thrilled!
This is yet another special way to indulge in the "sweet life" without many calories.
For me, a kind of "La dolce Vita"!

Much more cheerful, I went through the rest of my program and made my way home: of course, with corresponding waiting times.
I felt surrounded by wonderful waves of scent: on the left, Ferrari's "Racing Red," on the right, "La Vie est Belle," and as a base, "Omnia Indian Garnet," with which I had left the house. Ha, nice!
However, my shoemaker looked a bit surprised when I dropped off my shoes there.
Could it have been a bit too much of a good thing?

In any case, I will add "La Vie est Belle" to my watch list. I'm not sure if a liaison will ultimately develop between us.
But the smile at the moment of discovery will stay in my memory: "La Vie est Belle!"

Oh my God, the first La vie est belle...
...that I like :D.
I don't like the original Lveb at all.
It's too loud, too overpowering, just too much of everything (even though it's a beautiful scent).
In the big sister, the patch is also too much.
Now I've seen that there is also an EDT of this fragrance.
The notes really appeal to me (praline, almond, tonka, caramel)...
I had to test it.
Since there was unfortunately no sample available here, I bought the fragrance blind.
I got 50 ml for about 45 €, so I can't complain at all.
Considering how expensive 50 ml actually are (this raises the question for me whether it has been discontinued).
Well, the fragrance arrived two days ago.
Yesterday I wore it for the first time.
I put it on for work.
Two colleagues said it smelled like candy, asking if it was me :D.
But let's get to the scent:
In the diagram, it is listed as "fruity," even though no fruity note is listed here.
And yes, I do perceive this fruity note.
To my nose, the typical "Lveb" blackcurrant, but softer.
I also detect a hint of magnolia at the beginning, along with a touch of almond.
On Fragrantica, iris is listed in the heart note.
In my opinion, that comes through as well; I find the scent slightly powdery at some point.
The fragrance is really lovely.
But the base...
My goodness, it is so beautiful.
Once the scent has settled for a while and has merged with my skin, I am completely enchanted.
For me, this fragrance is a quieter and softer version of Lveb.
Refined with the typical praline, vanilla, a hint of almond, a beautiful and soft iris, and caramel (but not a sticky and thick caramel, for me it’s a soft caramel note).
Patchouli comes across in this fragrance much more pleasantly than in the EDP.
Also, the EDT is not loud and overpowering like the EDP, it’s more harmonious and a tad powdery.
For me, the EDT is a sweet, vanillic, caramelly, praline-like, almondy, slightly nutty, delicately powdery, and very subtly milky version of the EDP.
I find this fragrance hard to describe.
You just have to experience it.
Definitely test it on the skin.
In contrast to the scent strip, the EDT develops sweeter on my skin and the gourmand notes come out more.

In terms of longevity and sillage, the EDT is not quite as strong as the EDP.
But that doesn't bother me at all.

If, like me, you find the EDP too loud and overpowering but actually like the scent, you should check out the EDT.

Lovely and Cheerful
This fragrance starts sweet and floral. Almond and praline are clearly noticeable. A great scent for any occasion. Although it is only an Eau de Toilette, it smells intense. I really like the scent and wear it almost daily.

Creamy, almondy spring version of LVEB. Magnolia with almond cream. Much more wearable than the original!

In the UK, it feels like every other woman wears it. For me, it's the most unbearable, nasty scent ever. I wish Angel would come back!

"La Vie est Belle" is a bit more subtle (thank goodness) with a fine almond note. Creamier dessert for sweet tooths... mhh

La Vie is unmistakable. For me, it's the even more beautiful version of L'Eau de Parfum. It's like the cherry on top. I have to have it!

It should be a demonstration of a cheesy, cheap-sweet scent. The saleswoman smiled in agreement and sprayed La Vie est Belle on.

Berry praline with a sugar content that triggers instant diabetes and should be banned.

Fluffy-soft almond, caramel, and floral notes, much less sharp than the EdP. Easy to wear and long-lasting. Unfortunately no longer available.

Tested out of curiosity and really very sweet "migraine-triggering sweet". H & S top - but not for me, it's for caramel lovers.
