Sweets around the campfire
Right at the beginning: Eros Najim is not in the collection, not even as a sample. Therefore, I have no direct comparison here, only to a sample of Eros EDP.
And that's where it starts... I read something about the Eros DNA in the statements. So I sprayed both on my hands and tested them.
Indeed, in the first two minutes there is the mandarin that unites them both. However, cardamom and cinnamon then help Qaed to become more spicy, whereas lemon and mint turn towards freshness in Eros EDP.
And that's about it. After three or four minutes (admittedly, at currently around 24 degrees), the mandarin is quite far in the background and the similarities to the "classic" Eros DNA are gone, now the Qaed trots on alone.
Incense is present right from the start, adding an oriental touch without the result being heavy or oppressive, remaining rather airy and fresh in moderation.
Oh yes: the closer to the skin you sniff, the smokier the whole thing. It needs some air to breathe.
I'm sitting at the keyboard and it's wafting around my nose from 30 cm away. The result is...beautiful.
I lack a bit of technical vocabulary, so here's a picture from my head. You're welcome:
An evening around a campfire, mid to late spring or early fall. Occasionally the wind blows a little smoke over and someone has come up with the idea of making stick bread and marshmallows. The sweetness of the dough (and the caramelization of the sugar) mixes in and somewhere near a flower bed there's a bowl of fruit salad with a good portion of fresh mandarin oranges.
In the later DD, everyone moves closer to the embers, the smoke gets a little more, the fresh fruit is eaten, the flowers are asleep, only the one guy with the five marshmallowas on a stick hasn't had enough and gives everyone a good sugar fix. Someone fetches warm blankets.
All in all, a nice scent for spring and fall. A little too powerful for summer, perhaps a little too weak for winter.
The presentation: The packaging is stylish but simple. Horse, name, concentration. The bottle is also stylish, aaaathough it is also processed in line with the price, i.e. you can see the "seam" of the bubble shape quite clearly. But that doesn't matter.
Plus point: cap with "bouncing magnet".
Minus point: my goodness, the "Untamed" could have been squeezed in somewhere.
In summary, you really can't go wrong for the price. The fragrance is pleasant, doesn't offend, won't really excite anyone, but won't put anyone off either. You want to take a whiff of it every now and then and are happy when the wind carries a cloud past.
