Thomas Kinkade cottage painting
A beautiful experience, like a fairytale grandma's little garden. A light summer rain just passed, the kind that doesn't even cover the whole sky while it lasts, and now the soft evening sun is back, evaporating moisture from underneath the flowers. The air is warm, humid and slightly earthy. There is no rush to be anywhere, so you just stand there for a while, taking it all in. At peace.
It's like getting trapped in one of those Thomas Kinkade cottage paintings.
After about an hour the moisture evaporates and the whole composition becomes soft and airy, like a childhood memory slowly getting fuzzy around the edges. By the third hour mimosa also mostly disappears, leaving you with violets – dry, gentle and faintly sweet, as if they were pressed between pages of an old book.
I'm not a fan of heavy florals, so I can't see myself wearing it outside on the daily basis, but as a standalone experience it's 10/10, I may have cried a little.
