naturally natural
I admire the line that LOEWE maintains with their perfumes. A fashion house known for high-quality, but sometimes very expensive clothing, with down-to-earth, absolutely affordable, understated scents.
And one thing that stands out in my eyes throughout their fragrance repertoire is the feeling that only natural ingredients are used. This is certainly not the case, yet almost all the scents (yes, I have tested nearly all of them) evoke the sensation of walking in nature, in a park, by a river, in a flower meadow, in an herb garden, or in the woods. Unobtrusively natural.
So it is here with Solo Elixir. Tarragon, iris, jasmine, and cistus again create the impression of sitting in a meadow surrounded by flowers in lush grass. Lavender and patchouli evoke a bit of the association of damp earth after a rain shower; subtle and not unpleasant. Naturally again natural.
The mandarin, frankincense, and cinnamon capture the floral notes in a subtly bitter, minimally sweet environment. Super balanced but also somehow not particularly special.
As with almost all LOEWE fragrances, the longevity on my skin is okay. But I also don't expect heavy hitters with these notes. I actually wear LOEWE more for myself, not to be noticed. And so the natural veil accompanies you, never intrusive, for a few hours before it gently says goodbye.
