APOM pour Femme Maison Francis Kurkdjian Extrait de Parfum

..as clear as the Portuguese crybaby would be chosen as the footballer of the year..it was so clear that I would once again really like a scent from Kurkdjian. Over a year ago, I made the incredibly heavy and foolish mistake of comparing APOM Pour Homme with Sculpture PH...someday the fragrance god "Parfumos" will punish me for that..probably with a jungle test where I have to bathe in Duro..but that will probably mean zero stars and nothing to eat;-) But since the gods can currently lick my a...especially Eros..the unreliable guy..I have to test this women's fragrance on myself..it's just like kissing alone...something essential is missing...but I'll try anyway!
APOM PH is so much more than Sculpture..it plays in a league of its own..APOM is fresh, light, complex, sweet, deep, sexy, sensual, romantic..enchantingly captivating. Many attributes also apply to the women's fragrance. However, APOM PF differs significantly in the top note, which is very feminine. White orange blossom, sweet, powdery, opulent, and almost cloying, heavy...more yellow than white..probably due to the Ylang Ylang oil..which brings a lot of sweetness and heaviness. This note has apparently become very famous through Chanel No5..and yes, in direct comparison, clear parallels can be seen. After this "femme fatale" opener, the scent calms down a bit..and yes, I also recognize the cream note that develops very slowly and spreads more and more...I would simply call it Kurdjian melt...simply great and beautiful. Just after 30-45 minutes, the scent surprisingly approaches the men's version more and more...and that is simply delicious!!! Jasmine and cedarwood are at best barely detectable for me...because from this point on, APOM PF has hardly any development left to show. The longevity is superb for an extrait and lasts on me all day...just like APOM PH, the sillage is strong despite the somewhat unusual application form via RollOn for me..as a man, you don't really "roll" yourself that often. For women, it's perfect to take the 4 small rollers in their handbag, okay..good...in the bags, the normal bottle would usually fit just fine...but this way it's just very easy.

Conclusion: A beautiful, wonderful fresh-sweet scent, which remains quite similar to the men's version from the heart note - but is consistently a women's fragrance, sexy, captivating, noble, and of very, very high quality..and if Eros weren't currently hibernating, I would probably be even more euphoric now...because smelling the scent on a woman must be a true delight!!! For myself, I prefer to stick with the Pour Homme version.

Orange blossoms are usually not my friends. I like their scent on trees. However, on my skin, this ingredient often develops in a scratchy and piercing way. And yet, recently I've been increasingly encountering fragrances containing orange blossom, and not only that, they've even made their way into my collection! No one is more surprised than I am, but one must confront their enemies...

I bought the Apom Elixir BLIND, even though the fragrance pyramid clearly states, in big, bold letters, that it contains orange blossom, and not in small amounts. But the comments just intrigued me too much. When I read words like elegant, soft, and creamy, it's often already too late... The first short test didn't bring any delight, but still relief, because I definitely smell orange blossom, but it's not the scratchy kind. At least. This orange blossom here is very soft and creamy.

The next tests revealed the following: In the first half hour, I can still distinctly smell the orange blossom. And believe it or not, that's the phase I like the most! Fresh, clean, orange-blossomy! After that, the scent becomes more intimate, but whenever I move, a hint wafts up to my nose. Apom is a beautiful, soft, warm, feminine scent that reminds me of a very luxurious body cream.

But now comes the catch: The base. The base is the most beautiful part of nearly all my fragrances, especially when it lasts a long time. The base of the elixir also lasts very long, as it is an oil roll-on. But I don't find it beautiful! Not on me! Jasmine and ylang-ylang are listed, and it might be one of those, the combination of the two, or a nasty flower that isn't listed - something bothers me, and I find it hard to overpower this note.

I once had some flower in a vase that smelled just like this when it was already more than bloomed, just before decay. Kind of strange. Unpleasant. Unfortunately, I don't remember what it was, but the base smells somewhat similar, though not nearly as extreme. I may be what one calls a "mature" woman, but I certainly don't want to smell wilted, as if MY expiration date has already passed! ;) I'm sure I'm the only one who smells this. Due to the association with that old wilted flower. My beloved finds the scent very pleasant on me.

By the way, I have a similar phenomenon with the actually beautiful scent L’Interdit: Only after a few hours does it sneakily smell like old flower vase water on me, simply terrible! And there are jasmine and ylang-ylang in it too... Anyway, as soon as I extend a friendly hand of reconciliation to my nemesis orange blossom, some silly flowers always get in the way... But there's always something.

...the elixir is simply great, it smells almost like the EDP, but with a slightly softer oily consistency.

I find the longevity very good.

I like that I can pack this in my handbag and refresh myself on the go.

It smells to me like cream, sunscreen, laundry, fabric softener, simply wonderful!

And it lingers and lingers and caresses me beautifully.

It is the clearer version of Louanges Profanes No. 19, which I love very much, and it lasts better and longer.

It's a pity that I only discovered it now; it's worth every penny for me!

when a suitable offer comes your way. Because the same applies here as with Aqua Universalis vs. Aqua Universalis Forte: It smells like the original. Only the form changes, oil instead of eau, roll-on instead of vaporizer.

For those who are not familiar with APOM for Her: It is a creamy orange blossom dream. I love that typical orange blossom note, which can be found in some sun lotions or - I have encountered this too - in some fabric softeners. It is prominent in Gaultier's Classique and more sunscreen-like in Louanges Profanes No.19 from Parfumerie Générale. The latter is said to smell like the sunscreen of a certain brand, while APOM Pour Femme smells like a less known care product: Namely like a body lotion from Channoine - yes, no one knows it except Channoine consultants or their relatives/friends. This lotion smelled lovely, slightly fresh, with a very noble orange blossom note, so not as bold as in Classique, but also not as thick and creamy as No.19 from PG. Even back then, I could easily imagine the scent of this lotion as a perfume. I would say, APOM Pour Femme strikes a balance between perfumed and summery moisturized. The fragrance does not make a great development. Kurkdjian has a handful of very pleasant, partly noble-smelling fragrances in his own collection - yes, Lumière Noire P.H. is also included :P -, but no refined compositions. To be honest, I find that quite fine; on the other hand, it does make you think about the price. And one more downside: The longevity, which is unimpressive for both the EdP and the Elixir.

Addendum: I must correct myself, the longevity of the oil is quite decent; I must have had the EdP in mind...
