Summery berries with a touch of cream
I try to stay away from the yearly Daisy flankers because they never smell much like the listed notes, but this sounded too good to ignore. Iris, patchouli and whipped cream together sound like a dream to me. I imagined something sweet, milky and slightly earthy, done in a light and summery way.
Well, this is much fruitier than expected. It smells very much like berries and maybe a bit of plum to me. The cloudberry note from the original Daisy Love was included in this flanker, but the overall scent is less sweet and a little airier. The whipped cream note is more of a textural thing than a realistic note, the patch and iris are both subtle accents. I smell more of the unlisted fruit than the official notes.
I was a bit disappointed by this, but I shouldn't be too surprised. It's the same every year with these Daisies, they sound more exciting than they are. Daisy Love Paradise is a nice scent, pleasant for those who like fruits with a touch of creaminess, I just wished it had more of the whipped cream and more of an edge.
