Lemon as Tristan Accord

One of my favorite summer treasures. At first, I was skeptical - well, how many summer fragrances can one find time to enjoy in the short Westphalian summer? But that quickly turned into complete enthusiasm. This was followed by an urgent return to the perfumery, namely directly to the cash register.
It’s astonishing how incredibly elegant lemon can be presented not just as a citrus note, but as a complex late-Romantic harmony. The note that impressed me in this little masterpiece, namely incense, is precisely what transformed a cheerful lemon girl into a beautifully mysterious unknown. The girl laughs, but her eyes are sad. For two years, I have not grown tired of admiring Citrus noir and wear it with the feeling of having found a true treasure. The bottle is not the lightest, but it accompanies me on every summer vacation.

Delicious Lemon

When I spray the fragrance, I have the impression of just making lemonade. The lemon smells very real and not synthetic at all … I can also detect vetiver here. As for the other notes, my nose probably isn't trained enough yet. But that doesn't matter because I really like what I smell. I would say that the fragrance can be worn very well in all seasons except winter. It is suitable for both ladies and gentlemen.

In my opinion, Citrus Noir radiates very well. On my skin, it lasts for 7 hours, which is perfectly sufficient for me.

Citrus Without Minus

There are indeed perfumes that specialize in certain ingredients - such as predominantly using scents focused on gourmand, vetiver, patchouli, aquatic, floral, or even lemon, among others.

I think, especially among lemon scents, there is an overwhelming variety and many nuances. Can another lemon scent still spark interest or even enthusiasm? I believe so, because Citrus Noir certainly has its place, even though I don't consider myself an expert in this specialized field.

Citrus Noir develops a rich, zesty citrus note paired with a pleasing hint of Calamansi, that Philippine cross between mandarin and oval kumquat. This gives the citrus note a slightly darker or somewhat more bitter quality, yet it remains extremely fresh and pleasant.

Jasmine and cypress are hardly detectable, but in the drydown, a timid amber and a hint of incense can be perceived, which adds a touch of mystery to Citrus Noir.

Thus, Citrus is not just another simple lemon water, but indeed a valuable addition to this segment. Of course, anyone who generally has issues with the yellow fruit in all its variations will not be converted by this - but everyone else will find it worthwhile. And at just 62 € for 72 ml, the price is so reasonable that one can afford to reapply it due to its short longevity. Therefore: doubleplusgood!
