Coumarin Beauty
This is all about coumarin and strong sweetness. The opening is similar to Une Rose de Kandahar with that sweet, nutty vibe and slightly spicy aspect. This does not have the apricot smell, just the powdery/spicy aspect. That is the opening and the base. In between we have vanilla, nutty, powdered-sugar and pure comfort. The lasting power and projection are incredible. Very classy perfume from Molinard.

Perfume vs. Apple Punch
"You smell like baked apple." That's how I was greeted today by my beloved. Baked apple, huh. Fits the season and they are delicious, but actually, I'm wearing Secret Sucré by Molinard. And for me, it's so much more than baked apple. How does he even come up with baked apple? In a fruit wine cellar here in the area (Eastern Württemberg), there is always apple punch made from local orchard fruits in winter, refined with a pinch of cinnamon. If you want to make it extra special, add a splash of fine apple schnapps and - yummy! That's how I would smell, he claims. Yes, it's delicious, I agree with him. But my Secret Sucré is definitely an adult gourmand fragrance. And apple and cinnamon notes aren't even listed.

Well, what can you do? Our noses just work differently. For me, this scent is a dream combination of sweet, chocolatey notes with balsamic spiciness. I could just dive into it as soon as the temperatures outside hover around zero. It's warmth and coziness in a spray, not just delicious mulled wine. And I find it absolutely grown-up. Yes, I would even say that men can wear it too, as long as they don't mind a gourmand. The woods round it off nicely and make it unisex wearable. I would claim that you don't have to be a hardened Profumum-Roma-grenade lover to like and wear this one. It's more approachable and, to my nose, much more perfume.

Sillage and longevity are just as strong as with the aforementioned Italian. So, caution is advised with the dosage. I wouldn't recommend more than 2 sprays, otherwise, you might easily fill entire halls. After a few hours, it becomes beautifully close to the skin, but remains perceptible for longer than 12 hours.

A great scent for autumn and winter walks and cozy evenings at home. In that sense, apple and cinnamon aren't so wrong; such a punch fits on a cold Sunday afternoon just as well. The main thing is that he likes what he smells on me.

(My) Sweet Secret
Yes, that’s you now for over 2 years... I first smelled you back then and fell head over heels in love with you. Since my love for you hasn’t cooled down one bit, you now also get my first comment. Honor to whom honor is due :)

Flashback: October 2014, South France. We went to Grasse and of course I had to visit various perfumeries - after all, you also check out the Eiffel Tower when you’re in Paris.
So off I went into the chic Molinard store. Right after entering, a display with 5 bottles caught my eye, very elegant in purple. I sniffed the bottles, sprayed a bit on paper strips... yes, and Secret Sucré went straight onto my forearm.
Hmm... smells good! But 150€? No, that’s not necessary.
Back then, I thought that was a lot of money for a perfume. I only knew what was offered in perfumeries and department stores, mainstream stuff. In the meantime, that has really changed :)

Well, on the way back, it went "boom" on the highway between Grasse and St. Tropez. That’s exactly when I got hit... because I suddenly only perceived this wonderful scent in the car. I smelled roasted almonds, sweet caramel, cream candies and cotton candy, roasted nuts, vanilla, and always something woody, smoky... which perfectly blended with the sweetness. Beautiful, sooo beautiful, so nice to wallow in!!!

Waves of pleasant scents enveloped me and I constantly had to bring my arm to my nose and inhale this scent again and again. I was completely blown away... and as it had to happen... the day after next, I went back to Grasse (Grasse is definitely always worth a visit:))... straight into the Molinard and made this scent mine!! :)

What can I say... I love this scent. Very much. And I can’t imagine that this will change anytime soon.

Gourmand Heaven with Nougat Clouds..
Wow, a gourmand dream.. Today, a sample has arrived at my place and I’m sitting here in gourmand heaven..

The scent starts with a lot of nougat or perhaps powdered sugar with a nougat scent would be more accurate. Imagine fragrant nougat with vanilla powdered sugar and liquid caramel.. If one could make powder from nougat, it would smell like this …

In the drydown, the most beautiful woody notes emerge that I have ever smelled.. I am a big fan of sandalwood and in this fragrance, sandalwood is so dreamily soft, subtle, and creamy that I would claim everyone will become addicted to this scent. On a light wooden table in a small cabin in the woods sits a dessert. A nougat cake fresh out of the oven with vanilla powdered sugar and warm caramel syrup. On top is a homemade chocolate praline..

Jasmine stays quietly in the background but just enough so that the scent doesn’t become linear like many other gourmands, but instead gets a little interesting twist.

Later, the fragrance notes become even more caramel-like and deeper. Tonka bean, praline, and vanilla round off the scent sweetly and irresistibly.. I can’t get enough of this fragrance and a bottle must be acquired after Christmas. It has been a long time since a gourmand fragrance has excited me this much.. A dream.. It immediately lands high on my WL..

The Hidden Gourmand
Secret Sucré is for me the somewhat different gourmand fragrance, it dances through the nutty-woody notes out of the ordinary. Sensual and delicate, without being intrusive.

The opening starts quite powdery-sweet, it takes a while for it to fully unfold. But that’s exactly what makes the scent so exciting; it develops slowly and after thoroughly enjoying the top notes, the woody notes join in, giving the fragrance a unisex touch:
Secret Sucré is a unisex fragrance with a distinctly feminine orientation, but it is also highly recommendable for male perfume lovers who enjoy sweeter scents.
Cashmere wood makes Secret Sucré even warmer as it progresses, and sandalwood gives it a slightly smoky note.
The base consists of a beautiful, dominant caramel-vanilla-tonka bean composition, the vanilla here is very authentic. Benzoin and amber remain subtly in the background. It stays powdery-sweet-woody until the dry down.
Secret Sucré unfolds very well in cold temperatures; I can’t imagine it for warmer days as the composition could indeed come off as "overwhelming." When applied in moderation, the sillage is very noticeable and pleasant for those around, without being annoying :)
The longevity is extraordinarily good, sprayed on last night and still clearly noticeable on the skin this morning.

For gourmand lovers, Secret Sucré is definitely worth a test; those looking for an "adult" gourmand will find it here :)

Addictive, my new secret favorite.

White nougat pieces, elegantly dusted, float away on lovely pink musk clouds. This scent is very refined and sophisticated.

Secret Sucré was my second bottle. I'm still head over heels in love. Not too sweet, very deep, beautiful, and so delicious!

As sweet as it sounds, it's not that sweet. A fine gourmand that comes across as powdery, spicy, and smoky. A versatile scent that doesn't overwhelm.

Powdery, lightly creamy beauty,
especially hard to define - sweet, woody, benzoin, vanilla with a hint of praline?
So beautiful!

For me, 0 nutty/gourmand, a lot of lush creaminess. The feel-good factor is very high, but once again, not a performer. Too expensive for being so quiet.

Sugar shock in beauty. Warm, sweet, crunchy, vanilla cream, jasmine, and praline. Wonderful for winter. More feminine nougat than men's mocha.
