Sweet, airy, light vanilla and white florals.
Personal: 7/10 - It's fine. Sweet, creamy white florals aren't my thing, but I like it.
Mass appeal: 8/10 – Citrus and sweet, vanillic white florals are super safe.
Performance: 7.5/10 – Surprisingly strong for such a sweet/fresh DNA.
Value: 5/10 – Montale pricing is okay, but this is more designer than niche.
Uniqueness: 6/10 – It smells nice, but nothing new. Citrusy vanilla neroli freshies are everywhere. But props for making it so long lasting.

SCORE: 67/100

Full bottle buy? NO, it’s pleasant but redundant with other sweet white florals.
Blind buy? YES, safe enough if you like citrus-vanilla freshies that are floral.
Recommend? YES, if you want a louder, longer-lasting summer freshie.
Date night? NO, too bright and sweet. Not seductive. May work for summertime.
Office safe? YES, clean and cheerful, but spray lightly. Vanilla and citrus are loud.

Pros: Easy to wear, cheerful citrus, white floral, and vanilla. Solid performance.
Cons: Generic, redundant, leans juvenile. Not niche-feeling at all.

This isn't quite what I'm used to seeing from Montale. It's not very dark, or oud forward, rather it's not oudy at all. It's a bright, sweet, summery citrus with vanilla and lots of soft white florals. It feels VERY designer, though. Montale usually puts out something that's kind of niche smelling, but safe for niche, and this one just feels straight off the Sephora shelf. It's not bad, by any means, but it's not what I would expect from a niche lite brand like Montale. It's fine, but not memorable, and definitely a bit boring.

It's super summery and pleasant, but... it's kind of boring.

Review #93 in my fragrance journey – this fragrance I own as a decant

A spring walking in Greece
A legend, linked to Ottoman influence, tells that in Greece, painting houses white and blue was a way to express one's identity and attachment to the homeland during Ottoman rule.
Day Dreams is a spring walk through the streets of Greece, where the aroma of citrus fruits are, sparkling, and the attractive symphony of white flowers.
A simple, fresh fragrance that brings joy, wonderful for those who love flowery perfumes.

A walk among flowers and coconuts
Overall very lovely fragrance even though I'm not a fan of tropical / coconut scents. Montale has that distinguishable synthetic accord that doesn't mesh well with my skin, although here it's a bit more smooth and palatable.

The beginning smells like warmth, citrus fruits and fresh florals. Neroli brings that soapy freshness, while jasmine is more on the fresh, aquatic side of things. Don't be fooled though: coconut is the star here, rising from the depth of the bottom notes and permeating most of the scent. The florals recede to the back as a powdery, sweet coconut takes up almost all of the space. As it moves on, sandalwood becomes more noticeable with a creamy, woody note. Paired with the coconut it makes for a warm, sweet, powdery and almost creamy tropical vibe. Drydown becomes more sandalwood and coconut with an added touch of subtle, sweet vanilla.

It's an everyday fragrance for warmer temperatures. Overall, it's very nice, but since I've decluttered all coconut fragrances from my collection because I wasn't as much of a coconut fan as I thought I'd be, this one won't be making it into my collection. Was still ncie to try out!

Day Dream describes it very well
We became aware of Montale through a YouTube channel. Enchanted by the bottles and excited about the fragrance pyramids, we ordered our first samples.
This is how we came to our Day Dream sample.
The typical Montale DNA, which is a bit medicinal-synthetic, is less pronounced here than in others.
The opening reminds me of an afternoon in the midst of a flower meadow in summer, with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice in hand. Now just hold your face in the warm sun and relax.
I love the scent of Tiare that beautifully emerges and surrounds you as it develops. But not too intrusive; despite its floral character, it is a fragrance that men can wear well. So maybe not lumberjacks with Harleys and beards down to their knees :) But the classification as a unisex fragrance is, for me, accurate despite the floral notes.
A hint of vanilla in the dry down, yes, but I really don’t smell coconut.
The longevity and sillage are good but not as strong as in other Montale fragrances.
The longevity is around 7-8 hours, then it is really only perceptible very close to the skin.
Clear recommendation to buy. I myself also got the bottle after the test.
If I had to categorize it, I would wear it more in spring and summer.

Good Everyday Scent
I don't understand why this fragrance has such bad reviews. It is a very light orange-vanilla scent that makes you very suitable for everyday wear with various flowers. I really liked the scent, and my boyfriend even took it to school! The sillage and longevity are, as expected from Montale, incredible. Clear recommendation, test the fragrances yourself and don't just rely on reviews on Parfumo!

Kind of generic, but very pleasant, sweet white florals with vanilla and citrus. Feels more like designer than niche.

A tropical paradise made up of fresh florals and a sweet, powdery coconut. Has a slightly synthetic streak in the drydown, but still nice!

FB. Initially a little feminine then unisex after 30 minutes. On skin day later. Respectful projection. Even found cinnamon in notes. Nice.

Garden day on the daybed: exciting book, orange juice with vanilla and coconut ice cream, surrounded by exotic flowers. Heavy with top H&S. Very nice!

I would have never tested this just by reading. However, I was very surprised! Richly floral and fruity, yet still young and fresh. A charmer.

These sweet dessert scents are really getting on my nerves, but combining vanilla, orange blossom, Tiaré, and coconut takes guts!
