Creamy sugar clouds
Dream Moon has the reputation of being another dupe of Cloud and Baccarat Rouge 540, and now that i tried it, i definitely agree that it's in the same family
In my opinion it's a bit closer to Cloud, but i have to admit that it's been a while since i deliberately smelled either of them. I remember that cloud smelled creamy, coconutty and mysteriously minty to me, all of which BR540 never did. But Dream Moon does, too.
In fact the opening is a bit too minty-fresh for me, it borders on smelling like an old-fashioned aftershave. But you can already smell the other notes around that, so it's not that bad. I get a creamy coconut, musk, the crunchy sugary BR540/Cloud DNA, and even a hint of rose. The further it dries down, the sweeter it gets. After a few hours, it smells like cotton candy with a fresh twist.
I bought a Pacifica sample set on my holidays in the USA this spring, so I'm sure tried the version that is in the new bottle. Even though Parfumo lists this as a new perfume at the moment, I'm pretty sure they just added some notes for marketing reasons and a more accurate description and didn't change the scents drastically. All samples I tried smell just like the reviews for the older bottles say.
In this case, I think the new notes list makes more sense - the old packaging only listed rose, patchouli and sandalwood, which doesn't describe this scent well at all.
This is quite a nice version of the Cloud concept in my opinion. I like the creaminess and the subtle rose note. I have smelled much worse in this genre, and most of them are more expensive. I'm not a big fan of the opening, but the rest is great.
