Intense Prada
"Intense!!" is indeed the first thing you think after the first whiff of this rich Prada in its classy bottle reaches your nose: WOW!

On me it's all sultry, sexy, creamy patchouli with a citric edge (NOT a hippy patchouli, but rather a smooth and *posh* type of patchouli) mimosa and vanilla in a balance struggle with the labdanum, and a rose note that peeps its head in now and again to say "Hi!".

It's a beauty for everyone that likes sexy, mysterious and balmy scents that smell rich and expensive. It's a stubborn, mysterious and heavy scent that makes it a must love perfume so it is not for everyone, a definite 'MUST sniff before buy' scent!

I can smell a likeness to Strip by Agent Provocateur - but to me, Prada is deeper and more 'demanding' on the wearer. This one needs a woman (or man) that isn't afraid to be noticed, since it is a loud, intense and Diva like fragrance I would recommend this one for evening, date-nights and any special occasion that you want to make an 'Intense' statement.

::NB:: The atomizer on the bottle is been known to leak! On the first bottle I had, the atomiser bulb did not leak, but on the second one it did. Badly! To preserve the gorgeous (and pricey!) potion I solved that by pouring it in a CLEAN! perfume decanted. Pity, since the bottle is very classy. I have complained about this (as I am sure many others have) and wonder if Prada will fix this issue before I run out of potion and start craving a new bottle.

Silage is: "I will knock your socks AND shoes off!" -- Longevity is: "I will keep you barefoot for a good 7+ hours".

Chanel can Haute Couture, Prada can Intense
Prada - a label that can evoke the "want" feeling in many people. Whether it's clothing, bags, accessories, or fragrances, each piece awakens desires. Thus, Prada undoubtedly plays in the league of Gucci, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton.

The driving force behind it all is the visionary Miuccia Prada; no season goes by without eye-catching new patterns, shapes, color combinations, and materials. Without her, Prada probably wouldn't have managed to stay in the top league for so long. And when even Anna Wintour (editor-in-chief of US Vogue and universally recognized and undisputed fashion authority) publicly admits that Prada is her favorite label, it speaks volumes and brings invaluable publicity and PR.

Prada only decided to launch perfumes relatively late. It goes without saying that this decision was the right one and is presumably profitable.

My "problem" with Prada fragrances has always been mainly that they were too light and fleeting for me (the Infusion series as well as Amber pour Homme).
However, I have come to appreciate "Infusion d'Iris" very much, and "Amber pour Homme Intense" is one of my personal favorites, as it truly is an "Intense" and not just carries the name addition.

Yet somehow, the scent that was missing was THE fragrance, a statement scent, unmistakable, radiant, and sophisticated. Characteristics that Prada likes to flaunt.

And then came "Prada Intense." Now somewhat aged, at the time, to my knowledge, not really noticed and nowadays only difficult to obtain.

Since "Prada Amber" and "Prada L'Eau Ambrée" did not really meet my expectations, my last attempt should be "Prada Intense."

OK, when the bottle arrived and I tested the scent for the first time, I was really skeptical. Because I expected, uncharacteristically for Prada, an extremely powerful, expansive, and overwhelming "women's fragrance."

Far from it.

Powerful? Yes!
Expansive? Yes!
Overwhelming? No!

The top notes are fresh, unsweetened, and unfruity, and are actually flattened on the spot by the heart notes (patchouli, Peru balsam, and rose), with the rose playing a rather subordinate role.
Patchouli and Peru balsam, on the other hand, are unmistakably dominant. Not whispering and sweet, but almost cool and harsh. A real surprise - at least for me.

And then the base comes into play. Initially very gentle, it increasingly asserts itself against the overpowering heart notes. After a relatively short struggle, it gains the upper hand - incredibly soft, powdery, and noble. And this lasts for hours. All base notes seem to merge with the skin, digging deep into every pore, only to be gradually released again.

"Prada Intense" is undoubtedly not a wallflower, but it comes across gracefully, mature, and sophisticated, so it never becomes clumsy, cheap, or vulgar. I would call it self-confident.

Since the scent (for me) never slips into the floral, it can also be worn by men. However, one must absolutely and unconditionally like patchouli, vanilla, and all the other "softeners."

The longevity is immense, the projection could lead to irritation in the environment (so restraint is advisable), and the bottle with the Prada typical balloon atomizer is absolute luxury.

For me, "Prada Intense" is a Haute Couture fragrance that I will wear (contrary to my usual habits) situationally, thoughtfully, and very selectively. In my opinion, this fragrance requires a certain setting, a festive occasion, cultural events, and the like. However, this certainly does not exclude the possibility that it might just catch me off guard one day ;-)

Pure luxury...
...is just the sight of the bottle with its toxic green contents and the noble spray nozzle, I feel like a true lady when I sit at my dresser, look in the mirror, and spray this exquisite patchouli scent on me. Those who do not like patchouli should not acquire this fragrance. It is not a sweet fruity opening, although it is introduced by citrus fruits, which are immediately overtaken by the warm notes. I cannot detect mimosa; I do not know that note well enough, but patchouli, rose, and the vanillic Peru balsam, which also has a scratchy and slightly bitter scent, immediately take the lead. The honey-like labdanum resin, sandalwood, tonka bean, and vanilla make it very warm and powdery fine, the long-lasting base is absolutely fantastic. The musk is missing in the classic amber; I think I can tell whether another woman is wearing the amber or the intense version. The intense version is also less floral in the heart note; here, patchouli and the Peru balsam definitely take the part. I honestly do not understand why so few have it. This is a very noble, subtle, aphrodisiac scent for ladies, a balsamic aromatic fragrance par excellence.
To all Prada Amber fans. Get it for yourselves:-)...but it seems to be only available abroad now!

Postscript: by replacing the screw cap with the spray nozzle, slight flakes seem to have formed in the bottle. So it seems that bottles with spray nozzles are not 100% airtight. However, Prada seems to be more airtight than Dior with Midnight Poison Elixir, because if you turn the Dior bottle upside down, it immediately leaks. Prada does not, but I would not recommend transporting it in a handbag; I have never considered it myself. Nevertheless, I prefer a normal spray bottle. Furthermore, it seems that the contents evaporate from time to time and the liquid reduces. I have now closed the cap again and removed the spray nozzle. Otherwise, the bottle would probably be empty in the box soon without me having used it. A spray nozzle is only good if you use it constantly. For long-term storage, it is probably less suitable. What a pity.

Boisé de Sensualité
After experiencing L'Eau Ambrée, I soon found myself feeling quite differently after a promising start. The amber note, which initially held back and behaved as if it were outside the gate, did not politely knock later on, but rather burst into my nose with a huge bang.
The result was nausea and dizziness, and I needed something to scrub it off quickly!
Despite everything, I could never forget the pleasant aspects of the fragrance, nor that I actually really enjoy having amber in my perfumes, as it comes across so beautifully sensual and cozy. If there’s too much of a good thing, I tip over and my love for this fragrance note fades.
Now, since I really liked the fragrance pyramid otherwise, I took a look at the siblings of this Eau Ambrée.
I was particularly taken with the Eau de Parfum Intense, whose composition reads wonderfully and goes down like oil.
Thanks to a bargain purchase, I finally got my hands on the jewel.
The start is clearly in orange "colors," and with bergamot and oranges, this happens in the truest sense of the word. The mimosa and patchouli knock on my door only timidly and supportively after a few moments, and a wonderfully balsamic note takes over from here. The rose is hardly perceptible here; it holds back a lot, and if it weren't mentioned in the list, I wouldn't miss it at all. It is really hardly present. After about ten wonderfully fragrant minutes of feeling good and winding down with this scent, a strong wood note sets in for me. I have never been able to perceive wood like this in a fragrance. I really feel as if I am fenced in by it and sitting right in the middle to test this perfume. It reminds me of the moment when you enter a church and immediately perceive the intense scent of the wood from the pews. I always find myself inhaling and enjoying it, and somehow this wood smell completely calms me. I always have a very cozy feeling then.
In Prada Eau de Parfum Intense, this wood note remains dominant until the end and gives off a warm, sensual, and cozy warmth with the vanilla. Thus, I see the fragrance more for cooler temperatures, as it would otherwise come across as too heavy, and especially the individual notes would choke each other. The longevity is indeed fantastic, and the sillage is decent. One should not overdo it here. Too much of it also clouds the experience of gradually exploring and enjoying the different fine notes.
All in all, a perfume to feel well-groomed, elegant, and feminine, to wrap oneself in sensuality, and to defy the wet and gray of autumn and winter.
Fans of the "Shalimars" should also find something here if they are looking for something without their usually dominant jasmine note but want to linger on their noble vanilla.
Prada L'Eau de Parfum Intense: a pure "Boisé de Sensualité"!

PS: The image is misleading: the bottle is in a cardboard case.
Without it, it actually looks like the Prada Amber, only the liquid is a bit greener.

Elegant Oriental OR Spicy Fresh Patchouli Bomb
As some know, a great love was born in Munich... for meatballs. The transport to Liechtenstein (it didn’t make it to Switzerland because of my male companion) only succeeded through being tucked into my Prada bag and a glance into the meatball cave every 15 minutes. As long as nothing leaks out, nothing gets smeared, right? In hindsight, I found it quite amusing that I was transporting dead animals in dead animals, but that’s just a side note.

The brand Prada has thus been associated with meatballs since last weekend, and I like both very much! Due to current events (to all Swiss: 50.- (instead of 110.-) for 50ml at IMPO), I have to share my thoughts on this fragrance ;-).

"Prada Intense" is, as Confusion already said, a real patchouli bomb and reminds me strongly of my "Midnight Poison Elixir". I find the opening quite similar, very spicy, it really hits you. Compared to Dior, however, Prada is overall a bit shyer and fresher, not quite so "overbearing". Nevertheless, it is a very mature scent, not for a femme-enfant! If Midnight Poison is perhaps a bit too heavy for you, you will find with this Prada a slimmer, more subtle version that is just as beautiful!

I also agree with Confusion regarding the wearing recommendation: Please apply sparingly and especially wear and enjoy it in the evening!

By the way: The bottle is actually transparent and the lovely liquid is a subtle poison green. I find it strange that only 2 users are listed here, as it is actually too good to be ignored. Therefore, my personal call to all Prada lovers: Let yourself be bombarded with "Prada Intense" during your next perfume store visit!!
