untouchable oud

Sultry, haughty. Sheer incense smoke curling over viscous, black liquorice-y oud. I imagine this best on silver foxes, or supervillainesses. Someone you might appreciate from afar, but be too afraid to approach. I do love a good cold spice; Aesop’s Marrakesh is my favourite “concrete cardamom,” but Al-Dukhan is far deeper and darker, with that chewy oud. I think it’s a well-done scent, but I’m definitely not an Al-Dukhan gal.

Balance of heavy and light

Light, resinous, and polite oud. The black pepper and white musks are very present, and contribute to a clean, fresh feeling. It leans masculine, and is reminiscent of some modern men's fragrances. However, I can easily see a woman wearing it. It's also not overly loud, and could work in an office or similar environment. I think this is a great choice for an everyday scent (as well as a going out scent), if you are looking for something with some depth and sensuality that still comes across as clean and polished.
