not at all mimosa-like
The mimosa is a very interesting flower. Apart from the fact that it reacts sensitively to touch, vibration and temperature and noticeably moves away from them, it also has a very special fragrance. The mimosa absolute has a light touch of iris, is slightly honey-like and you could also detect minimal aniseed, which I personally don't smell directly. You could also detect vanilla or heliotrope in the background. I think that's quite a lot of impressions for such a frightful flower. I like the mimosa. I like to smell it, which is why I test a lot of fragrances that contain even a hint of mimosa.
This is also the case with the new Reminiscence fragrance. Its predecessor has already been discontinued (for whatever reason) without me being able to test it. Sous un Mimosa is great.
Yes, I like it very much. Admittedly, it's very delicate, fairy-like and elfin. Not because of its sweetness, but because it is so delicate. The top note is a little alcoholic at first, but this fades quickly. Then I immediately smell plenty of mimosa and something spicy and delicately powdery. My nose is already familiar with hawthorn from Beige Eau de Parfum, and I really like it here too. Delicate green tones resonate, but do not play a leading role here. In contrast, you can smell delicate woods, delicate flowers and a well-measured drop of vanilla. It is beautiful, aurally caressing, lulling. Never too much and beautifully subtle. It reminds me a little of Bottega Veneta Essence Aromatique.
I would classify Sous un Mimosa as unisex, as it is sweet, fine and delicate, but at the same time spicy, herbaceous and woody. A calm and unchallenging companion for the whole year.
