Tulips or Nulps?
Of course, tulips are immediately associated with the Netherlands. In fragrances, they are surprisingly rare to detect. This offshoot of the Amsterdam Collection rightly carries its name - at least when it comes to the mentioned tulip. Unfortunately, the hissing yuzu is extremely fleeting.
"Tulip & Japanese Yuzu" is a creamy floral from Rituals that truly doesn't hurt anyone. But it also doesn't entice anyone out from behind the stove. More of a body mist, scented candle, room freshener than a real perfume. But many Rituals fragrances are like this. Delicate, tulip-like, human. Friendly and sunny. Still a wallflower. Olfactorily speaking. The zest and sparkle of the yuzu are sorely missing. More European and plain than the land of the rising sun. A bit dull. Very tame. A very folk-music-like common scent.
